Actually when I was growing up my mother was a nurse and if she broke a thermometer she would bring the mercury home for me to play with. Now if a mercury thermometer breaks you don a hazmat suit, ckear the area and decontaminate. Surprisingky seventy years on I'm still alive (barely), grumpy but not glowing in the dark.
People think telling their kids “NO” will cause them to burst into flames or traumatize them for ever! Ridiculous!! In my day you said, yes please ,thank you, excuse me, today’s kids don’t have a clue about anything because they are micromanaged to death!! Let kids be kids its a lot of fun!!
I grew up when we were told to shut up. I haven't heard one parent tell their out of control kid to shut up in years. Far over due. So many kids today are SO hyper and oblivious about anyone but themselves. It's pathetic.
I actually like hair on a man's chest. Didn't know you waxed. We sat in our seat in the car because we were taught to. Consequences of bad behavior was dad and we didn't want to deal with dad. We learned early in life. His belt was terrifying. We didn't want the belt.
Kids aren't free to be kids anymore! And if I am in one more Target store with a yuppie mommy trying to reason with a 3 yr old who is losing his mind!! In my day we got a wack in the head, the look 👀 and wait till your father gets home! Peace and quiet instantly 😆.
