How to repair a dent | Huge dent and damage on a Ford Ranger | 100% Glue Pull Repair (GPR)
In this video we’re going to show we we can remove and repair very large dents and damage like this with glue pulling, or GPR, for short.
GPR is another method of repairing dents in PDR - Paintless Dent Removal.
A glue pull repair is when we use specialist tabs and glue, such as the Keco Glue Pull Repair system you see being used in the video, to pull the damage from the outside.
This is an excellent and effective way of removing large damage such as this, very quickly and cleanly.
As the damage is pulled with glue from the outside of the panel, there is no harm caused to the factory e-coat, no paintwork is being ground off, no sanding, no filling and no painting.
If this would of been a traditional bodyshop repair, more parts would of been removed, then the damage would of been pin pulled out, meaning it would then need filling and painting - a very big process on damage like this.
What’s also great with this system, is that it works perfectly on both steel and aluminium body panels - no need for 2 welders and pullers, which would of been the case for a bodyshop repair.
Finally, this system and process is perfectly suited for EV and electric vehicles.
These need to be powered down to make safe to weld and pin pull - not with the glue pull repair system from Keco.
As this is a cold repair, it’s completely safe to use on these vehicles!
