  • In this video I try my hand at some cosmetic work. Horrible but it'll work lol. Now that I know which paint matches the best. The next cosmetic video should have it looking much better.

You should get 4 turbo cans and paint the whole thing thats the easiest way to get it to match. They have primer, white, black, and clear. Personally id rather have it black.

Cant do that. A lot of prep needs to be done even for a turbo can paint job. Plus, I prefer beat up/patina that way i don't worry about it when it's driven.

Are you restoring it? Or are you doing a swap. I'd tell him to pressure wash it him self. People don't seem to know the difference. I'd tell him, I'll pressure wash under the hood where I'm working lol. I do love the SS Montes of the mid 80s.

Rust oleum may be the cheapest bet, paint roller and some acetone

I did that on my Crown Vic and I would have been 2x further ahead just painting it with a gun. And it turned out really bad, fortunately that was the theme (Bluesmobile). I actually used high end hard foam cabinet rollers and added Penetrol to make the paint flow and it looks awful 🤣 I spent 3 days doing it and was like WTF, I could have taped and painted the car with a spray gun in 1-2 days.

We did it on a truck with acetone masked off turned out pretty good, you can also spray it using acetone and hardener for better results, I e never used the additive you used but acetone worked best for us.
