    Whenever I see his highlights I get a little sad thinking about what more he could have accomplished if he wasn't injured by playing for the Chinese national team during the summers where he should have rested. Apparently he also insisted on playing but it still shouldn't have happened

    There has never been a player his height who was as coordinated and skilled as Yao. Yao was an once in a generational talent. Just when he was hitting his prime he injures his foot. Always wondered if he never got hurt how far he could have taken the Rockets in the playoffs.

    Yao was very coordinated for someone that tall, it was so much fun to watch him play and now something even more incredible we are witnessing now and its the fact that Victor Wenbanyama is like just an inch shorter than Yao but more mobile, more Athletic and way faster with an incredible skill set also

    I remember I use to pick the Rockets against my friends on NBA Live, and I would make 3's with him, and I'd go to one of my friends house, one of the friends would pick the Houston Rockets, of course we would trade for who we wanted, she had Shaq and Yao Ming, and would start them both, so you basically had to make outside shots to beat her, I'd do pretty good for three quarters and then the fourth I'd struggle and she'd come back and beat me some of the times. I think Yao Ming has to be considered a top 50 player a top 100 at the worst. Whenever Yao vs Shaq matchup would be on I'd have to try to watch it.

    well shaq said if yao is never injured he would have been one of the top 5 centers of all time...it is pretty big statement coming from shaq who is one of the top 5 centers of all time and arguable the most dominant player in his prime in nba history. the youngers just dont know how good yao was, not only did he demolish dwight in every game, he also made shaq work and change up his game to face yao
