That’s quite a list of agencies that Vi wants to shut down and it raises a lot of questions. Let’s just assume he does all of them all at once instead of having a plan (there IS a plan, right?) to phase them out in a manner that doesn’t risk complete chaos. The last big Republican thing that I can recall where the proponent never discussed possible downsides (and there ARE downsides to most everything) as well as not really having a plan, was the George W. Bush administration lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in order to take us to war there. Then he also threw in the war in Afghanistan, which he never stated as part of the plan up front. And we all know how that all played out, right? So Vi, instead of just dangling this idea of axing all these agency liquidations in front of the crazies in your party in order to garner votes, and this is definitely a Trump inspired ploy, how about you elaborate a bit and actually mention some of the downsides. That way we will know you’ve really given some thought to this thing and then WE, the people, can decide if we want to be put through the trouble and the expense, of your idea. Because on the face of things, it looks like utter madness and another unbelievable expenditure of taxpayer dollars greater even than the $300,000,000 per day, every day for twenty years, that just the Afghanistan war ended up costing us.
