Working with a non-profit to start a sober house and so I'm loving the training you two just gave me!!
I am 18 months sober and can relate to all 7 of these steps. I was able to figure these steps out on my own and to see others say the same thing gives me such comfort that my sobriety is going to be forever. It's hard work, but worth it. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience Ebony!
Great video and very accurate. I use these in my groups and the clients love it.
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing with others!
This was eye opening! All the things I wish my ex fiancé would do to stop relapsing but refuses to do and instead stays stuck in the comfort of not facing this. I’m devastated but hope that he can find full recovery one day.
This is great information for anyone in recovery - whether in sober living house or not! These videos are great! Thank you!
Great guys with great advice!
You guys are great ! This all sounds like finding a connection to people and things you do and likeing the connection ! Is this what your saying ? I know you talked on several very important subjects but connection seems to be the major key to recovery and staying recovered

@@PutTheShovelDown Irish polysubstance group, a bit AA style , got it from the Councilor , He said once you have acceptance you are 1/3 the way there ( something like that) Nice guy , recovered alcoholic himself
I'm trying to figure out how I can help my husband get out of the mentality that the routine he's in even when he is sober is not like my own, even when it could be. He takes large amounts of time when I have off and chooses to start arguments because of his shame of drinking I think, just so that he can go off on his own or be angry and heightened to get over the shame. He's not including me in activities that we have as similarities, but rather he rejects me pretty much in every way. How do I get my husband to include me in his interests, and similarly to be interested in being with me? A lot of things have waned in our marriage including intimacy.
Lori P sounds like his still very invested in playing victim and making you the bad guy.
Al-Anon can potentially help you to carve out a more independent life for yourself within or after this marriage. Either way, from what you say, he needs to apply a 12 Step programme in his own home, and you can begin to change YOU rather than trying to change him or waiting for him to change. He’ll come-a-runnin when he knows you are not under his control I would imagine, you sound like a good people. Amber has some great videos around this subject. Good luck both of you.
