I like both versions of this sci-fi horror classic :-)
I like the remake version and I like David in the Remake and glad he was saved by his human mom and him being heroic proves that not all of his kind are evil.
Great comparison! Didn't even know Mark Hamill was in the 1995 adaptaion.
Daaaamn, between this & Who Goes There/The Thing, John Carpenter was killing it with the remakes! 💖
There's an upcoming British TV series based on The Midwich Cuckoos this 2022. You should make another comparison video in the future with the rest of Village of the Damned films this 2022.
Woo really
Watched the new TV series. It was good but not as good as the 1995 movie. Also in the new series the children’s eyes don’t glow when they overpower someone.
Hardly anything made today is good, it's usually just to destroy previous films that had all or majority white casts. This new one is probably the same. Just another vessel for "the message"
It's great to have you back. 😁👍
My cinema professor taught us that black and white movies have higher dynamic contrast than colored movies. I didn't really understand it until watching this video
1960: show men in the pub smoking to cope
1995: shows Lamaze classes and the women actually pregnant xD
exactly ...these days women only get the focus and men get none today.
@@nihilist4184 I meant how they can't show actual pregnancy in the 60s but can in the 90s xD
It's always bothered me that in the 1995 version, the number 7 on the clock looks like an up-side-down number 2. It's odd as all the rest of the numbers aren't quite that stylised. At 5:01.
Wow what a thing to worry about
I think it looks cool that way!
Huh...
Lol I never even noticed that before, it's definitely an upside down 2
Welcome back king

Hola Sergio soy tu primo o prima
Si es soundtrack es lo mejor de remake 1995 y por eso le gana a la original
Well, as a long time fan of John Carpenter I must say he just made the remake of Rilla's classic because of the money...sometimes this kind of things happen with the masters
It's interesting to see some of the scene flipped horizontally in 1995 version. I always wonder there are cinema convention for this. Is that depend on the era where moves produced? Or just a preference of the director?
The original is far creepier.
Yes, I agree...very creepy
The black and white one is more ominous to me.
Thank you so much for the Informative Video on the 1960's version & The 1995 version of the same film Village Of The Damned side by side similar definitely Interesting I'm just asking how was the special effects for the children in the 1995's version cos the children didn't wear contact lenses in there eyes?.
British science fiction is the best! 😎😎😎🤯🤯🤯👍👍👍
Vaya, está película si que era macabra, pero no sabía que tuvo un remake, hasta creí reconocer a mark hamill
That is Mark Hamill
The children of the 1960 version today actually have gray hair.
No shit, that`s what happens when people get old,LOL!
@@1993MovieMan I think they’ve become grandparents too!
Come 2058, it'll be the same for the '95 cast
Well, can Matt make a Tarzan the Apeman (1932/1959/1981) comparison?
Maybe the 1999,2013 and 2016 Verisons?
@@amazingbushy9290 I think the 1999, 2013 and 2016 versions are way too different from each other.
Well, the 1932, 1959 and 1981 films called Tarzan the Ape Man have more similarities than the former three do.
Pete’s Dragon 1977 and 2016 Comparison

It's been 87 years meme
Just kidding, glad you still upload this comparison video. And stay safe
Here after listening to midnight city
Hey can you maybe do the episodes of the Marvel What If…? Series and compare them to scenes from the MCU movies?
That’s A Great Idea
Una antigua y una moderna
Maybe Do One For Taxi Driver The 1976 Verison And Compared To 2021 Mini Series
That’s a cool task!
Maybe Comaring The 1941 Verison DC’s Shazam The Black & White Film,The 1974 TV Series & 2019 DCEU Shazam?
These children looks similar to Lincoln Loud from The Loud House
Is that SUPERMAN in the John Carpenter one?
yes
Like in the 50’s twilight zone.
I’ll say this, the 1960s version looks alot more clean and polished but JCs version just looks and sounds great aesthetically
I haven’t watched either version of the movie but to me the kids look more creepy in the 1960s version. Probably because it’s black and white and their eyes appear white.
Original won’t be topped IMO but the remake 1995 wasn’t bad.
Unpopular Opinion: The John Carpenter film was better.
The way how the children react together is like that of a hive mind. Maybe controlled by something else? Or maybe they are all one?
i like the original david
I like the remake. He had more emotion and was kinder and gentle. It gave the Impression that not all of them were bad
The remake was fking terrible
@@jonathanbirch2022 Not really 😅
@@mycrazyopinions3915 it’s neither scary nor suspenseful, a career low for John Carpenter and one of the most pointless remakes ever made
@@sexydudeuk2172
I agree I like David in the Remake and I like it and David in the remake version proves that not all of his kind are evil.
I only watched the original for the first time the other week, and one thing I noticed was in in the newer version alot of the male roles were replaced by female ones, even the leader of the kids which would of made more sense to keep that one male atleast. This is always the case, women have dominated the media for decades now, and they always push them into traditionally male roles and alot of the time it's over compensation and ruins the film/programme. And at the same time the female characters will moan about being oppressed by men. It's cringey.
The 1960 version is a classic. The 1995 version is complete garbage, a low point for everyone involved.
all the children have blue eyes and blond hair... definately a racist movie that should be forbidden!
Grow up
How is it racist. Have you been on Twitter too much?
@@Kundalini_Goddessthey are being cynical, I think
the remake was well crap
