I never truly understood Nihilism, Alhamdulillah Yusuf made this series with Sapience institute
Did not know this brother ! I absolutely love philosophy, have most of the major philo books (but I strengthened my aqeeda first of course) ! Sooooo happy I found him alhamdoulillah may Allah bless him! The death of meaning is the death of the soul, it is the worst disaster ever! "Don't be like those who forgot Allah so He made them forget themselves", you forget Allah, you forget the meaning of life, you forget your soul, you forget yourself !
Can you please suggest some books for me? I haven't read that many books but I feel like it's a necessity to get more deeper and proper understanding of philosophy or any other topic. Zazhakallahheir
@@ameen_H You need to build you foundations in Islam first.
@@aliasname6718 Can you please explain what you mean by that?
@@ameen_H no Scholar will allow you to study philosophy as it is very dangerous and can shake your belief. You must have strong fundamentals in Islam first.
@@ameen_H if you want philosophy stick to eastern philosophy when starting out, some books from Al Ghazali about Islam are good and have elements of philosophy.
This guy is legit. Cool, calm and collected. Also intelligent.
Yusuf, as usual, calm cool collected. Masha' Allah
Just an advice Yusuf, Start your lecture with A'uzhu Billahi Min'Shaitan A'Rajim, then Bismi'Llahi Rahman A'Rahim.
God reward you with the best! ♥️🇧🇩
GREAT Work Yousuf bhai💗
Great! Would love more of this type of academic style lectures with slides on this level on various other topics in philosophy.

May Allah bless and reward you and your family. This was a spectacular lecture.
Jazakmullah Khayrn
Thank you brother Yusuf ♥️ you
51:30: The topic of subjective VS objective has been worked out good enough in the russian book called "Диалектика и атеизм: две сути несовместны". I don't know if there is a similar book in english. The point is: there is some kinds of experience that are unique (which means can't be reproduced by others) due to many reasons. Nevertheless these experiences might bring the objective knowledge.
Please upload all the videos one by one .
Nice
Yusuf Ponders hosting Sapience Institute 🎧
23:22, I feel absolutely powerless Bro, ill be honest, But I love You talking about this, You Hero Mā Sha Allah ☹🤜🤛.
I've imagined just slicing my own neck, but Alhamdulillah, I don't want to have that happen in Jahannam forever
I kinda feel I've grown out of it, as I have people I need to look after, and I'm just changing, I know life is just a test, good or bad, Its a test and its what Allah wants, He is The All-Wise.
AssalamuAlaikum brother. Whatever you're going through is only a mean to attain higher ranks in Jannah, if you struggle patiently. I'll make a dua for you, inshaAllah. May Allah grant you a great reward.
@@sahibaahmad6314 Wa Alaikam Salaam Wa Rahmatullāh, Jazakmullah Khayr, 100%.
Ameen and May Allah grant You a Great Reward as well Ameen.
Alhamdulilah bro, nice to see you're getting out of this dark space. Remember the umma is always here for you. I'll keep you in my prayers inshallah, please keep me in yours as well :)
@@zizou2003sm Jazakmullah Khayr for Your Kindness, its really meaningful to see, Allahumma Barik, May Allah Grant Us All Peace and Relief in our hearts Ameen 💕:)
Alhamdulilah that you have got out of that mindset .... keep the link tight “Quran & Salah” ... May Allah gives us the strength that we need to get through these hardships brother
Is sapiens institute going to upload all the videos of every course on CZcams since it can reach a wider audience
This guy's good
❤
Omg i am suffering right now cuz of this plz expalin me in simple words which will give me hope
Edit
After watching half of the video realising i relate to it ...i wanted answers straight away.
I alsk wantes meaning no matter what it's a need.
The only problem left now if morality
1:16:52 different nihilism's defined
The nihilism i feel i have-
*Existential nihilism
*I kind of have Cosmic nihilism
*I kind of have Epistemological nihilism
Are you ok bro? Dont worry bro ask Allah to make you forever firm on truth and to take away your doubts. Be patient you will inshallah get bro. Rememeber "seek help through patience and dua".
@@mohammadsaminirtisum6152💖 Sorry Habibi, For the long time I've taken, Thank You for asking first of all😁
@@majarez9066 bro im glad tho if i may mention something . I had many doubts before and the thing that saved me from doubts is asking Allah to both show me the truth and make me firm in believing in the truth. Bro before the ulamma , before the sahaba , before even Rasulullah(SAW) ask ALLah for not only guidance but fimness in the truth. Bro I've learnt first hand that just being guided will never completely help because someone could always be misguided again, no matter how sure we are brother our minds are limited and have limited strenght . But Allah is not limited Always ask for both guidance and most important;y Absolute firmness on that guidance so that no one can ever overpower your mind to misguide you. Only Allah can give you absolute firmness and make you stay sure of yourself I've learnt this lesson my self very thoroughly. Salamualikum bro
@@mohammadsaminirtisum6152 Wa Alaikam Salaam Wa Rahmatullāh Bro, Jazakmullah Khayr Bro for these words of Yours, means a lot :)
@@mohammadsaminirtisum6152 oh and i hope You are doing Very Good my Beloved Bro 😇
Now I know why you trimmed your beard off

I'm afraid you've committed a fallacy of equivocation here.
The word meaning in "what is the meaning of" simply means definition. The word meaning in the second one means purpose.
So both have different definitions although have the same word. It's not prequisite whatsoever, they just have different definitions.
I like yusuf, but the format of this video needs changing, he needs to be a small box in a corner, vs him bein on the side and squashed into a corner
Regarding morality being subjective unless you believe in god, I wanted to point out that the vast majority of muslims believe in dct which makes morality subjective, absolute sure, but subjective nonetheless so we can't pretend that morality is objective.
I don't say morality is strictly subjective without God.
I also don't believe you can describe dct as subjective either.
unless you can give me a timestamp where I make this comment so I can clarify
@@YusufPonders my comment wasn't a response to an argument that you made, I just wanted to clarify that when some muslims claim that atheists don't have objective morality while we do, I don't think that this is the case.
The divine command theory is not really about objective morality because morality is only defined in terms of god's commands, which implies that there are no moral proprieties such as something being "good in of itself" or "evil in of itself". Morality is therefore imo subjective because it is "mind dependent" however, that is not to say that it is relative like individual or cultural subjectivism.
Even with a god it’s subjective as it’s the opinion of that god
@@jimhales2449 it's more about imperative than about opinion but I get what you're saying.
Nihilism is a ugly word
