Always use some sort of loc-tite on the cleat bolts. In a pinch when out on a ride or tour, get some nail polish. My friend learned the hard way when he couldn't unclip and crashed

Make sure you try mia da/nuoc mia. When my buddies and I tour it's all we drink in the day, you'll see it everywhere by the side of the road, grinding machines and sugar cane, mia da is the sugar cane juice. It's absolutely wonderful.

"Tam Coc" in Ninh Binh is one of my fav places in Vietnam. When I was there we got shitty bikes with no breaks but it was fun.

Being Vietnamese-Australian, this series is such a joy to watch. I'll be heading over there for a holiday later this year as well. Haven't seen your project Australia videos yet, but i need to get on it.
One thing I'm learning/re-learning is that Vietnam's geography is ridiculous/mega/epic/whatever adjective you want to apply. The land rising from the sea to 300+ ft in the air (within seemingly no inward distance) is so foreign and amazing to me.

Lost a cleat bolt this summer, not something I would have thought to regularly inspect... until it happens.
Lost one on a ride to Whitstable but I use Look cleats so had another 2 holding it in place!

Guys, this is an amazing trip!!! I have been following every day as you release the trip, and it looks like such an adventure. We went trotting around Saigon and all the way along the coast but only up to Nah Trang backpacking. The best place to stay over BY FAR if you are making your way on down to Phan Thiet, or Mui Ne, is the Mui Ne backpacker village. It is amazing, and doesn't look like anything you've stayed in thus far, and the owners are next level. Keen for the next parts of your trip!!! Best of luck with all those flat tyres!!

@@rrobotman you got to drink it with the condensed milk. All the beans they use is robusta. The fragrance is due to some other stuff they roast it with. So it is very acidic if you drink it without the condensed milk. Nearly burned a hole on my stomach the first time I had it without the milk.
