Spirit airlines made history by being the first airline to offer a nonstop flight from BDL Connecticut to Mbj Montego bay Jamaica, this flight will operate four weekly flights to and from Montego Bay, Connecticut has the fifth largest Jamaican population in the USA and thus making it an ideal destination for a direct flight,fox news has reported it as been well received by all in the region and has long been a dream of BDL to have this manifested .

So Jamaica is giving accolades to all these foreign airplanes and yet our beloved Air Jamaica which was our pride and joy is no longer in existence. That's heart wrenching and saddening to me. Our beautiful Humming Bird aka Doctor Bird is now referred to as Stewart.
Best looking plane and bird in the WORLD is gone.

You know!! The best food severed on air Jamaica. Easter- Easter bun n cheese, Christmas cake, rice and peas n chicken or goat. Man that was some service for a airline. Loved Air J ❤

Why the fire engine with the water? Why fire works? Back in the day we had loads of foreign airlines coming into Jamaica before things started getting bad in way back in the mid to late 70s.
This is the first direct flight from BDL Connecticut to Montego Bay direct, you need to share the history with us so we can know Steph ,it would be interesting to know some of the airports we had direct flights to from Montego Bay in the 70s , I look forward to you sharing some history with me, thanks for watching and commenting Steph
