London Heathrow may just be one of the best airports in the world for plane spotting. With its incredible international movements, it is one of the busiest airports in the world, and is definitely the busiest at the best of times. Receiving traffic from North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, it is an airport you certainly need to add to your bucket list.
This video was filmed from a number of different locations around the airport that I have found. Heathrow is one of the hardest airports to find clear views of the runways. It's heavily built up and there's strict rules around the airfield prohibiting photography to occur too close to the fence line. Despite these challenges, i did manage to find some spots that meet my standards.
All video and audio material used in this video was recorded by me, HD Melbourne Aviation, to which I legally own all the rights and ownership of the audio and video content seen in this video.

Excellent Heathrow plane spotting.
Awesome how many A380s there are at LHR, makes sense given there are more international flights in and out of that airport than any other airport in the world.
I live. Beside Heathrow Airport and I love the planes Many years ago I took my daughter on the Concorde to New York amazing my late husband worked for British Airways so we got a cheaper tickets. Never be another aircraft than the Concorde ❤

The Airbus A380 is insanely massive. Shame they're not making them any more.
Less demand for those beasts nowadays. The so-called "pandemic" has created this situation.

Last flight I took was in late 1999. BAe 146 short haul Birmingham UK to Dublin Eire. And, yeah, not quite the last, flight. I came back the following day. :)

I actually live kinda near Heathrow, and I see low flying planes all the time. I'm never actually bothered by the noise because it sounds so cool. I actually saw an Emirates A380 flying over my house the other day.

I live next to runways 22R-L at Boston's Logan Airport and am blown away when these monsters land/takeoff - especially the mighty A380-800's. Tell me, do Boeing 747s still come in and out of Heathrow?

Matt could you get tjhe Quantas dream liner early morning flight to Perth Australia please. Was able to go on a once in a lifetime trip on it Nov last year. I had never ever flown gosh a whole 17 hours direct to Perth. How the plane tax;d off slow and suddenly we went up like a ruddy rocket. I clung on to my seat and asked for a parachute on my survival vest no use having the whistle & torch i AH. I came home same flight a Dreamliner Perth to LHR am 70 bit of an oldie but quite young at heart. This video is amazing well done Matt.

My relatives live in a house very close to the airport, and the height of the planes is like the one in the video, and they are able to sleep because they have adapted to this sound for a period of time. The location of my relatives’ house in the capital of Iraq (Baghdad) 🌏😍♥️.
