12 years of marriage with three kids, no preposterous gesture to create controversy, no gaslighting, no washing linens on interviews, I guess she really really loved him. A marriage happened after prolonged dating. All went with a flow. A match made in heaven.
It's also telling she didn't conduct interviews before.. And neither did her family

I did like how Netflix included William's love of Aston Villa in his love story with Kate. The Prince and Princess of Wales are just perfect for each other, I remember being on holiday in France and watching their wedding with my parents and saying how Katherine looked like a real princess even before they exchanged vows

Good relationship are often boring so the reason why it's short is because their life is drama free and people want drama.
I think the reason he waited a while to marry Kate was because he is going to be king one day and wanted to see if she would backout.
I'm old enough to remember those articles about Williams girlfriend. She was soooo beautiful and she still is. A real lady in every possible way.
And him.....oh my, what handsome boy, with those incredible eyes. I find him very atractive even today. There is something very hot between two of them, remember Kate in that famous golden gown and the way he looked at her, hands on her back and that smile... His face was talking: can't wait till we get home, you are so mine.

'The Crown' really understands what it is trying to do and does it very well. The dialog is hard to get right and this story arc must have been harder than any other: The writers really succeed and it is very convincing. Amazing consistency and credibility.

In reality this is how you bag a prince, or just… a good husband. No girls, the prince won’t just magically fall in love at first sight with you, you do need effort for his attention.

I find it extremely awkward that her mother would try to boost her daughter's self-confidence by encouraging her, not to work harder, not to achieve more in her career, not to dedicate herself to tough studies, but to date a prince. I'm not sure that I would tell my daughter she can achieve anything by marrying a rich famous dude.

@@LovedLamb actually she did very little before marrying William, I remember seeing her on magazines and newspapers walking around, partying or vacationing. Maybe she had a job during that long term relationship but it wasn't a big deal. I found those parts really weird. I didn't like seeing her mother moving the pieces, like a master of puppets so her daughter could catch a man or a prince in this case, it wasn't nice to see it, if that really happened then it was cheap promoting her daughter. William probably would have fallen in love with Kate anyways with or without Carole's "help" but the things she probably did were really low, it seems a relationship that should have been natural, in reality was all planned by her mother
3 kids and a great life or a miserable 9-5? Yeah, her mother was really a tool for her pushing her daughter toward the first option...
Her mum lived in a council house and is from a mining background. She definitely pushed her children up the social ladder. That gap year was no coincidence and funny how Catherine switched university's to be at the same as William.
I think she worked part time at Jigsaw.
I have a feeling that they could have done much much much better job is casting young Princess of Wales and teenaged Prince of Wales. But then this is Netflix so..

I think they burned Carol by making her so conniving. The media was very unkind about her working class flight attendant background. Lots of people take gap years in the UK, and a mom giving their daughter advice on a boy they like is normal to me. Was she excited? Probably. It's the future king. But that doesn't mean it was some master plan and there had to be genuine concern about their daughter being stalked for 10 years.

@@Starpinklittle How was she a stalker? Most schools of the upper echelons of society pride themselves on their famous students in hopes of attracting more applicants. Most parents who have money will invest it in their children’s education, and they will consider who their child may form connections with especially in uni. The better the connections, the better the chance of a successful career. This is not stalking, it’s common sense thinking that parents engage in when considering where to send their children to university.

I think youll probalby find that those are Meg Bellamy's natural lips. Ed McVey has very full lips but I think you will find he was born with them too!!!
Big? They look luscious, not overdone. And her other features are really sharp and pretty. Mind you, i do not watch The Crown or know any of the cast. I clicked on the video because i liked her face, honestly.
I have to agree. Although for me and my mum it was her eyes. Meg Bellamy has bigger eyes (which makes her unique and beautiful) than Catherine. So personally, I find that she didn't look like Catherine at all. In any case, I still find her beautiful and I like the way she acted Catherine's character.
But she has a similar nose and similar mannerisms. And her lips are still on the smaller side
