If he wins his next fight everthing will level out with the fans. Time and time again we see MMA fans in general have a ridiculously short memory.
They’ll make sure he’s in a match up he can dominate. Or the UFC quest for $ will buy off his opponent.
@@sidtreesin904 they wont buy off his opponent but they will likely give him a favorable match-up. The amount of up and comers that the UFC have gotten behind just like Paddy to then lose horribly is shows if they have done it at all then it has been very rare. The amount of legal trouble that would result in if caught is very serious. Not to mention almost every fighter is there to make a career, it only takes a few loses to end your career inbthe UFC and not many people would willingly screw their dream to become champ and take that loss. This isnt PRIDE or Boxing, you dont get alot of leeway in the UFC. What they will do is make a legitimate fight that favors the person they want to win. I mean look at that last fight he took alot of damage. If they were gonna rig fights they wouldnt have made that fight at all. That outcome is on the judges. Yeah alot of people thought Paddy lost but not everyone did, Chael Sonnen didnt think it was a Robbery and there wasnt massive booing like there have been in alot of other terrible split decisions. We have seen the biggest up and comers and cash cows in the UFC get beat.
So…do you think that’s what they did?
Why do people keep comparing his rise to Conor’s ? Conor was finishing champions in highlight reel fashion, one after the other. This is silly.
It's simple. Neither of them can fight better than they talk.
Justin Gaethje would put the idiot to sleep.
It’s silly. Only his deluded fans compare him to Conor.
I think the comparison is more related to the size of their personalities
Because they are both loud arrogant and overrated...Connor in his last 4 fight only beat Donald Cerone...Anyone that is a good wrestler crushed connor....Mctapper has tapped out 4 times and only got 1 submission...The baddie most people think he lost his last fight...If you like underdog quirky fighters Baddie is your guy ...But if you want to see the best..."the man" he not him...
@@nflsportsesport4248Not a McGreggor fan but I personally can't even fathom why people would even compare Paddy to that guy. Like mf at least Connor had the champion mentality early on and proved it with the double champ status. Paddy couldn't even properly beat some random guy whom 90% even knew existed. Bitch where in the fuck is the similarity with McTapper?
Craziest click bait ever this video 🤣🤣🤣
Yh click bait ....still waiting for the rise aint fought a ranked opponent yet..lotta hype tho
feels like this vid is incomplete - you didnt talk about his downfall really at all, missed a huge part of the recent events out really. could of gone into detail more about the beef with Ariel + spoke more about how social media has turned on him because of his after fight interview; this seemingly been a tipping point.
felt like you didnt wanna say much of how you felt or speculate much, which is of course understandable but opinions and speculation is absolutely okay in sports! its a huge part of it when you think about it :)
very well made however, production quality is up there and you smashed the script writing (although maybe a little too surgical) it was a good overview of the situation for casuals who dont know much about the sport.
subbed either way!
I agree. He kinda just glorified him, then compared him to Conor. Good content, though.
Pretty sure opinions and speculation is okay anytime. That was the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
Yeah .. essentially it’s a dumb, banal vid.
Absolutely agree! The title didn’t match the content or at least half of it!
Paddy seems like a good person I just hope this undeserved hate he got does not affect him.
brilliant doc... i think Paddys a good lad, the UFC will humble him... but its not about if you fall, its about how you deal with it. good luck Paddy

@@odellaudio2810 Ariel a turd!!!!
I think the biggest issue with Paddy is his lack of humility. It's all well and good to be confident... but only as long as your words match your actions. His didn't match up, and he couldn't stomach admitting he fell short. He made the poor decision to double down and ended up making himself out to look like a tit. Anybody who was a fan before is now thinking twice because who wants to support a guy who is so arrogant he's delusional? No one wants to support a guy who fails to give credit where credit is due!
Gordon statistically won that fight hands down - judges got it wrong and we know this due to more than 90% of media scorers watching the fight clocking Gordon as the winner. Paddy just couldn't be a man and face the cold hard reality he was benefitting from unwarranted favouritism. He also fucked up royally by not improving his defence and is now paying the consequences of that choice because EVERYONE has seen him lacking. Bro needs to look in the mirror and get right with himself because he's never going to beat the top 15 with his current mindset and skill level. Win or not, Dana and matchmakers now know he just isn't up to snuff for the big leagues!
sn: coming from a former fan.
I know it's cliché etc. but one difference between McGregor and Pimblett is McGregor TRULY believes everything he says and you can really tell. After his last fight, Paddy just didn't give off the confidence he once had and everyone could sense it, and thus he lost a lot of fans because he's just faking it til he makes it, but now he's never going to make it because he's been found out to be a big faker.
The fight judging isn’t a democracy. Little cowards don’t like Pimblett so they turned this into a robbery narrative. Gordon got smacked up and Paddy will get the title . He’s title shot ready, shit he’s Bangkok ready for his next fight.

It hurts a fighter. You don't want your training camp becoming a weight loss camp. Too much of the training camp is spent on losing weight and the exhaustion from cutting affects the fighters ability to focus on skill improvement and specific skills for that specific fight.

It’s a little early to claim “fall”. He hit a speed bump for sure but let’s be real…since his first fight in the UFC…his striking defense or lack of was highly exposed.
Agreed
he’s 23 professional fights in, 3 in the ufc with no improvement in between camps
Probably good trainer could really help him..
@@saularellano6677 can’t improve too much in camps when “camp” is focused on weight. His career resume reeks of high level success but if he chooses to fix his biggest weakness, which is mental, you’ll see far greater growth LEAPS in Paddy. If not he’ll have arguably the worst saying one could have applied to them…”he had so much potential” Time will tell
@@jktuert8630 tend to agree there. Hard to tell due to his lack of Champion (at the elite level anyway) mentality. If he commits to a Champion lifestyle, maybe gets a Trevor Whitman into his life, no reason he couldn’t complete his career saying “I’ve competed in 3 promotions and won the title in all”. He could get away with his horrible lifestyle (for a professional athlete) at the previous promotions which attest to his skill level but in the UFC, for a fighter of his caliber, it’s a full commitment to be Champ. Frankly, that’s what I seriously question. Does he even want to be Champion in the UFC or does he simply want the attention, sell wigs, make as much as he can in a short window and go be a competitive eater??? Coin flip 🙄.
Bro you're underrated asf🔥🔥
Piling on the pounds on works in your 20's and even so after 25 the weight cut is going to take an effect.
Starting to think paddy's fall is because of grief over baby Lee and the friend that killed himself. Ppl react to Loss differently and perhaps paddy's way of dealing with it was to lash out and not give a shit at all about his image as an athlete or improving as a fighter.
Yep, my best friend died and it fucking ruined me. It just makes you stop giving a shit about anything, it's really hard to get over things like that
Ya I'm sure he bashed a Journalist in front of his scum bag boss who actually rips him off...because of grief 🤡 delusional Paddy fans😂
He's been through so much its unreal
Yes as everybody handles stress from bereavements of losing those who are close to them an ppl should give paddy a bit of slack an say 12 months to prove himself.
I don’t think Paddy is anything more than a top 20 judging by his last performance against Gordon (which I believe he lost). Any of the top 10 155’ers would maul him. I think the hype train may be coming to an end sooner rather than later
Even the top 20 will beat him easily.
Paddy The Fatty got found out, next opponent will iron him out.
Hes got the ultimate story. Beyond incredible
I like Paddy. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon.
You notice it's his star power people comment on rather than his skill as a fighter
Why are people sayin he’s washed now he’s only had a fuckin decision not from him but the judges it’s not his fault and he’s got so many more years to grow and be champion of the ufc
Paddy doubling down and being arrogant is just a part of his personality. It doesn't take away from his achievement of just getting into the UFC. I think he's a good kid really he's just saving face. I think he has unwavering confidence in himself which all fighters should have. I think all this does is show strong mental fortitude hopefully he applies that to his diet and training and think we then have a real real star on our hands. I don't think he's an embarrassment to UK MMA he just needs refining.
It's not confidence, confidences is belief in your own competence. He is just cocky. Sadly we see this a lot in the small pond that is Europe. Paddy hasn't needed to improve his defensive skill because the skill level of Europe didn't require him to do so. He can run around saying 'I'm a scouser we dont get knocked out.' He has a good chin but he absolutely can get knocked out and will by the elite lightweights.
Paddy is great. Love the way he conducts himself.
You think a good person would bash a Journalist for doing their job, just because their rat boss who ACTUALLY is ripping off the fighters is sitting there. You're delusional bud, Paddy is a piece of shit and a brown noser...he's gonna have to wipe Dana's shit out of his dumb ass bowl cut 😂

Paddy has a strong belief in his own ability, has chin of steel and has a strong heart. He says what's on his mind and you cannot condemn him for that. Judge him on his fights, judge him on his values and true sense of words right or wrong, he is true to himself which is more than most of us men can say. Win or lose Paddy is a fuckin Baddy.

paddy’s the perfect example of how well the ufc markets lol he’s gotten worse over each fight and somehow the ufc’ has managed to fool so many people into thinking he’s the next big champ. guy shouldn’t even be in the top 10.

Keep your chin up Paddy!
I feel bad for the cat who just kicked Paddy’s ass, then got robbed.Sad.X
I am still waiting the "fall" part
All that weight cutting has got to impact his performance
It does in ways people don't understand. They aint making more time. If so much of your training camp has to be focused on cutting then you are losing time on skill improvement and fight game plan. Also the more tired a fighter is the harder it is to focus when it comes to skill development. Ideally a fighter has a few extra pounds that they can cut on their own with morning road work and training camp is focused on skill.

One contraversal fight and his fans turn.
His striking almost doesn't exist, he is pretty good on the ground though.
Interestingly, BOTH Paddy and Jared Gordon's careers could benefit from their recent fight:
Now, Paddy is the Bad Guy, literally 'The Baddie', who benefited from a 'crooked Decision Win' - people will pay to see him get his ass kicked, like they did with Floyd Mayweather. Paddy should sell more tickets and PPVs then ever before.
And Jared Gordon is now the 'tough fighter who was ripped off' by that 'Crooked Decision'. His stock has risen and more people are supportive of his career and getting more lucrative fights is likely. He's a 'Crowd Favorite' now.
Right. Setting up the hype train is an orchestrated process, the momentum from benefits everyone involved, especially the fans who cannot get enough of this type of drama. Winning or losing is subsequential.
And what does the UFC do with Paddy? The fact he 'won' means he gets a more challenging opponent next time. But the fact that, in reality, he lost against #28 and was saved by the judges, means they are limited in who they can pit him against...while keeping the hype train alive.
Why does it matter if he eats as long as he makes weight and wins 😂 dudes a beast let him live his life
Only way paddy wins back my respect he has to rematch Gordon
He sure doesn't make it easy on himself by gaining a shit ton of weight and not trying... you may not be in bootcamp or fight weight, but you need to always train your body, skill set, and maintain a healthy hydrated walking around weight... that weight cut so quick has to drain him terribly, he'd have so much more energy and strength if he maintained a healthy weight and trained between fights... a couple months of training and losing a shit ton of weight in that time just won't cut it going against the top guys, the guys who live that lifestyle day in and day out and never stop working..
It isn't what he says that bothers me, it's entertaining, what bothers me is how he treats himself inbetween fights...like he doesn't take the sport or his opponents seriously. He has the makings of being the next McGregor in terms of popularity and sales if he can keep his shit together throughout the entire year...
It's also dangerous to gain that much and lose it so quickly, then dehydrate yourself ontop of it... it's too much on the body, especially when you do it for each and every fight.
Yeah there is a boxing world champion that was like 400lbs when he went into retirement... then came back and kicked everyone ass...Tyson Fury...It would be optimal to stay in fighting shape all the time...but not needed...
Everytime he says "lad" I just wanna commit war crimes
Still respect him as a fighter but if he doesn't fix the issues in his game he's gonna be found out very quick.

He’s universally hated by everyone
He treats the sport like its a big laugh. He is talented but disrespects himself. All he needs to change is his attitude and he will be much better
It’s like the stock market
I’m feeling sorry for Paddy, sort of…having said that, a little reality is necessary in life. Someone told him to early in his career that he was actually Connor McGregor. On your rise in life, bulling others, like Ariel is a mistake; especially when Dana encourages it. Focus on you and being a better man, my man…and rise again.
I like Paddy the Baddy but his rise to the UFC is nothing alike that of McGregor. The only opponent Connor didn't knock out during his rise before his first title shot was Max Holloway who's never been knocked down in his UFC career. And he still put an absolute clinic in that fight and won with a comfortable 30-27.
Paddy the Baddy is a great dude, but other than his confidence and Cockyness (which let's be honest half of the UFC has) he's nothing like McGregor.
Still an Amazing fighter though, and with a pretty promising career, it's a bit too early to declare his "Fall" yet
When did he "rise" and "fall"?
He’s gotta grab his bootstraps and go out swinging he still has a chance to go out with honor
One bad display and the worlds against him !!!

The lad still young you know what I mean
No similarities between him and Connor at all .
I do think he proved himself a bit against El Cocouy tho
Poor guy is hated because of a judges decision.👎
I wouldn't say the hype is anywhere near McGregor. This is a Diesel era, not a Stone Cold Steve Austin era
Do you honestly think he gives a flying fuck if people hate him, they are talking about him and that sells tickets and tickets sales make Paddy a rich man much like Conor , Paddy will make more for a fight than most fighters make in a career and the haters will clock in to their boring jobs forever wishing that they was Paddy the Baddy for a day
