~||What is Tower Defense Simulator?||~
Tower Defense Simulator is a Roblox game made by Paradoxum Games created on the 5th of June 2019 and officially released on the 15th of June 2019. It involves players teaming up with one another to fighting waves of different enemies until they either are overrun or triumph that particular map. Players gain cash by damaging enemies and from wave bonuses, which can subsequently be invested in buying new towers or upgrading existing ones. There is also a Versus mode where other players can team up to face down another team. In this instance, players can send enemies. Once players are defeated or triumph, they gain EXP, which is used to level up, and Coins, which can be used to purchase new towers.

Something you have to remember about range is that it's a circle. The area of a circle with a radius of 5 is 78.5, but a circle with the radius of 7 is almost double the area at 153.9. So when the range goes from 12 to 9 it's not a 25% decrease in range, it's a lot more. The area of a circle with a radius of 12 is 452.389, with the radius of 9 it's 254.469. That's a 44% decrease in total area that the commander has lost and that's just the base, level 0 commander. For a max level commander the range went from 20 to 14 which is a 30% decrease. Area with a radius of 20 is 1256.64, area with a radius of 14 is 615.752. That's 51% less total area for a max commander. This is a huge nerf in range.

The only thing that bothered me was that they didn't give the Frost Commander skin a redesign. (It's My fav skin)
confused on that part lol. when both minigunner and ranger got reworked, they both got their frost skin's remade. im guessing that the skin team wasn't able to get to the frost commander skin on time. perhaps they were busy working on new towers/new skins for other towers. might have been a time crunch. 🤓

I thought the developers would want to keep the Call To Arms chaining ability. But the idea of using the ability strategically sounds cool and more interesting...
Finally someone that probably don't use a macro or auto clicker for Chain Comander.

I want to rebalance commander in an interesting way.
Firerate Buffs:
Lvl 3 17,5% -> 20%
CTA Lvl 3 (+20% -> +30%)
Lvl 4: 20% -> 25%
CTA Lvl 4 (+30% -> +50%)
Ability isnt ready when aquired.
Range gets increased to pre-rework commander.
Commander always fires.
CTA gives Commander (25%/50%/100%) Damage buffs.
Price:
Commander gets far more expensive and costs a total of
50k now.
Placement:
Price: 850 -> 900
Limit: 3 -> 1!!
This rebalance makes Commander a lot more powerful, but due to the placement limit of 1 it becomes a lot more risky to use CTA. Micro isnt gonna help as well due to wind up.
When Commander says he sees hiddens, now he actually does. About time.
And why does he need hidden lead and flying for?

So basically commander range got gutted nerfed the fire rate boost passive and call of arms just to compensate for a new ability, yeahhh it doesn’t really cope with the bug nerfs like why even bother for this change if it was fine for so long
The update also bugged the Classic Mil base skin, so that you cannot upgrade nor sell it. Edit: Also some other skins are bugged so just in case set all your towers to their default skin so that you don't get messed over :)

Commander’s ability cooldown is from 30->40s. So yeah, chaining with 3 is IMPOSSIBLE when you must wait for FORTY FRICKIN SECONDS. yeah, that sounds like it isnt a chain anymore.
actually i think the reason they did this to commander was to push engineer to meta since 4.5k gems wasnt really good for engi but after the commandrer nerf engi would be a better choice than before

You can still chain, it's only a 1-2 second delay because seconds aren't accurate in the meter (it really lasts around 12s.)

@@josardoleon6894 it is 10s, but not an accurate interval. Each second is either a tiny bit longer or the game actually uses 10.999s.

As someone who never uses commander I don’t mind it much I’m just sad the commander I’m used to is gone not because it’s nerfed just because it and so many other things are changing a ton I’ve always felt that way when they change stuff tho

As someone who stopped using commander a while back, I see this as an absolute win (DJ for the win)

To me the commander shouldn’t have gotten reworked as it’s a support tower and being that they nerfed the support part and tried to add dmg to them is kinda dumb like where are you actually going to need the dmg from commander instead of him just give more tower better dps. Also just my opinion but spawner towers tend to be not as effective in the later rounds so by the time you get to use it it’s not worth.
In short commander should be pure support and not a support, spawner dmg hybrid.
This update is ass, they should swap the tanks for increased range
Make the max 2, 30 second cooldown, stackable coa buffs :)

Yeah it’s a nerf, they gutted it’s fire rate boost at lvl 2, which is really ass but ok, and then they ruined its range, absolutely destoying strays like Lucille. Probably cause they want people to just buy the gems

Overall commander didn’t need this nerf (and yes it is a nerf), cause the good thing about the old commander is that it didn’t have any dumb abilities that do not do anything, and it was op, because it kinda needed to be cause of pw2 and especially Lucille. Now Lucille takes like 47 minutes which is ass, so I think the devs should screw the useless tank ability and replace it with commanders old range, and like a 37.5 fire rate boost, and get rid of its shooting. That way it is actually a nerf, but less of a nerf

I’m gonna be completely honest, they nerfed commander. Sure they buffed his damage and firerate but his boost is now just kinda worse along with his range. At least they gave him that second ability but still I personally don’t think that this nerf/rework was that needed but still it’s not all bad, the second ability looks cool and so do the new skins so ye it’s not all bad.
Just waiting for all evidence of John Roblox being in this game to be erased.
Also, I hate that they keep trying to make support towers deal more damage just because they did some originally. Sledger isn't supposed to be DPS, neither is toxic gunner. They're both ass because they think it's fair to make them overly expensive for some mediocre damage. They can't keep getting away with this shit.
Sledgers are pretty damn close to gladiators as of now, but the main selling feature of sledgers are their insane freezing, not damage dealing capabilities. Gladiators are both cheaper and the ability is also much better for damage dealing.
@@isfrenchjei i can already see the next rework: we made medic 60x more expensive and made the ability cooldown a global timer so you can't sell and replace, but it's okay because it now has 60 DPS AT MAX!!! 😱😱👍👍👍

do I like what they have done with commander... kinda of? I personally think that an extra 5% fire rate on the ability or 2/3 more range would be better however I do like the trains that is pretty epic. is it a win on the commander rework? no not whatsoever at least 30% of the community is going to hate this update however I think even if I semi dislike it this is a healthy rework and I think we got to live with it commander will never feel the same and maybe that's a good thing we are in the first 24 hours of this update the shock of commander being gutted has got to set in once the anger subsides I think we will all like the changes

he also has a fury system which i have no idea how it works and what it does but im pretty sure if you do enough damage with commander the ability will last 20 seconds instead of 10
