@@Mezzarino did the ol chop and she sounds mad, got a whole new stainless steel straight pipe exhaust to fit on her pretty soon man
I done this like a month ago on my hilux and it sounds the same, (Unbolted tho not cut)
if you're gonna do this, be aware that you can pass out with those fumes cause they are not coming fully out the back of the exhaust. there's reason why they all end at the back, to prevent fumes coming up in your car. those can kill you within minutes or even cause cancer. i've got no hate to this video, just letting the young ones know, tis is not worth it only if you wish to do. i recommend to go see a mechanic about it (i got a better exhaust btw so its not like it anymore) No hate, just lookin out for you ppl

Could have just unbolted it a foot further forwards and saved yourself cutting the pipe for no reason
That’s what I did. Also means you can buy it all back on with a couple bolts if needed

If you want it to sound good you need to rev it up to at least 4000 and it literally sounds good with the muffler on if u actually rev it up.
I managed to get my exhaust off at a park with a spanner and wrapped a mask around the handle, bolts were pretty rusty, just gotta give it abit of Mana, holden slodeo never sounded better
only VNT hilux model can make that sound.. Great sound

Wish they offered diesel in the Toyota Tacoma in the US. A company called diesel toys does the D4D diesel swap into them for fair price.

Was because of the chicken tax so Toyota made the Tacoma in petrol to suit the US regulations

I've got a 2013 4x4 3.0 Diesell Manual. Will I achieve the same affect cutting the muffler off?
Secondly, I'm not able to buy a new exhaust where I live. Would it be fine just cutting it off like you and leaving it without doing anything else?
Nah I did it to my 2011 3.0 n70 I cut it off under the cab between front and back seat. Sounded amazing but I begun to notice the fumes were rising up into the cab. Made me feel sick and hard to breathe. I took it to an exhaust shop and got them to extend it to the diff and do a diff dump doesn’t sound as nice as it did when it was under the cab but still way better than before when the muffler was on but id recommend you take it to a exhaust shop
@@Sergeant_Stiffy ah I've also cut it in the same spot but can't say I noticed the first rising to the top, maybe because I've lifted my extremely high
