I’m 74 years old and a beginner and I am disabled but enjoying every minute of crocheting 😊 ❤ it takes my mind off of my pain 😊
Oh I am glad that it helps to take your mind off it Kathy, but I am very sorry to read that you’re in pain. Sending my best wishes to you. 🌸🧶
I learned crochet and knitting from my grandmothers when I was young and I hadn't done it in decades...Ill be 48 next week and I have been crocheting for the past year daily and it's great for pain and also not smoking! Keep it up and feel better.

My mother did this stitch! It’s WONDERFULLY fluffy! She left an unfinished blanket when she died and I couldn’t figure out how to finish it. ☹️ She was a lefty and I just couldn’t figure it out by unstitching and reverse engineering it. I’ve tried and tried for 15 YEARS! You have NO IDEA what this tutorial means to me. 😥
Thank You SO MUCH! ❤️
This was so sweet of ur mother… n I’m working on this same pattern for blankets for my boys in hopes they will keep them to remember me💜thanks for this small story I hope u were able to finish it n remember ur mom loved u so much be blessed
So im a guy and teaching myself how to crochet to relax after work. Ive watched over a dozen different videos and this one made it so much easier. Thank you for sharing with us
I have to do this or else I wont reach highschool
Hey man o bought my wife a crochet kit for Xmas. I learned to teach her and I actually find it really relaxing.
Kenny O I’ve seen the exact comment somewhere else 🙃

I’ve been crocheting for 54 years, this is the first time I’ve used this stitch in repetition and the end result is one of the most beautiful blankets that I have made. Thank you for such a clear and concise tutorial.
You are so welcome! And thank you so much Angela! I’m so glad you love your finished blanket 🌸
It's never too late to learn! I'm 68 and just started crocheting a year ago. I can't get enough of the baby blankets. Using the larger yarn is more satisfying to me and the blankets build quickly. Thank you SO much for showing me this stitch. I'm going to start one right now.
Wonderful! Thank you! 🌸 And you're absolutely correct - never too late to learn!
Just started my blanket today as my first ever project! I just love watching your videos, your explanations are always spot on and helpful ❤️
I am three quarters of the way through my seventh blanket, using this pattern! Thank you, for being kind enough, to share, with the rest of us!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am making a blanket for my great grandmother who has recently gone to a convalescent home and she isn’t adjusting well and is always cold. This will be for her lap and I’m just so grateful to you for explaining this so clearly so a beginner like me can knock one out in a few days for her 💚
Very grateful for this tutorial! I completed an entire blanket last week, and am starting a new one right now and always use this video for a reference! I am giving my 3 best friends a blanket for Christmas, because everyone should own a blanket from a loved one! Thank you!
That is so nice of you!!!!! And Christmas is right around the corner!!!!🤗👍🏻☃️🎄
Yes, this is such an inspiring video, what a lovely friend you are!
Thanks so much

I’m here at 60 in 2020 loving this tutorial...I’m very much a beginner and this is an awesome video!
I’ve used this simple stitch for soooo many blankets and headbands. Simple and quick. Thank you. Love your tutorials.
Anyone young as hell and feeling old for being so into crocheting? I’m 19 😂
Paige McCombs oh yes, I’m 19 too and I caught myself humming gospel songs while crocheting last night 😂
i’m 15😭😭
It’s okay guys, we may seem old but we’re young.
I’m 20 😛💃🏽

I could listen to you all day. Lovely voice, and very patient teaching. Thank you.
Of all the beginner videos this one by far helped me the most! They were all good but this one was exactly what I needed. Thank you so much. I will have my nephew’s blanket ready before he makes his debut 💙
I was looking forever for a blanket that is actually for beginners, and this is perfect! Thank you so much.
I’m so glad you like it and that you’ve found something suitable! 🌸💕
I really appreciate your videos, and especially the fact that you give options. What I mean is you explain that each pattern needs a multiple of a certain amount of stitches. This allows us to make each project our own, instead of locking us who watch into a specific project size. So many crochet tutorials don't allow for this, which makes it difficult for us beginners. And your accent is a wonderful plus. My children and I are constantly trying to imitate it!
Thank you for the Ribbed/Ridged -Super Chuncky demonstration. I have benefited a lot. I now know that where the hook passes matters and makes different patterns. Your demonstrations are very useful indeed.
Thank you Sarah, I'm so glad you found them useful!
Is anyone else 11-13? I am. And my grandma taught me to crochet but she went to fast. Your amazing nice and slow. Gives deep instructions. Thank you.
Trin Trin same eee!!!
I am 13 wanting to start a big project since a while and here we are today i got the rest of the supplies I didn’t have as the thick yarn am I will start now let’s see where we will end up at ♥️♥️
Same!
I was 11 when my grandma taught me but the same as you she went so fast with it. Well over the years i taught myself how to crochet thru beginner videos just like this and I found a list somewhere online on how to read patterns and since then I can crochet just about anything so keep at it it's pretty fun and definitely a good skill to continue on even down to your kids 😄

I love that you used a bright pink hook and white yarn. It made it very easy to see exactly what you were doing. Thanks so much!
I'm a beginner this looks fun to do this will be my first blanket. Thank you for the perfect paced tutorial.
This was amazing ! I loved your clear instructions and the way you showed every step without fast forwarding which was really helpful for a beginner like me!cheers!
I'm 12 and I just started crocheting 2 days ago and this is so easy to follow!! I've done about half of it so far and this is probably the easiest tutorial I've seen. Thank you!!❤
same! I have never done crocheting before and I am going to the store today to buy some supplies

I've watched several videos by different people on beginning crochet. Most are confusing, but this video seems to make this blanket & stitch look easier. I'm definately going to try it out.
Absolutely love! I wanted something quick but also something very cozy to do for Christmas presents and I think this is it!
Thank you very much for this great tutorial. Lovely blanket! I've just resumed crocheting after many years break, and this is perfect for me to ease back into a project. Really clear, and great pace. :)
You are a great teacher ❤️ thank you for inspiring me and giving me hope! Turning out so beautiful!
I am nearing the end of my 15th, half treble crochet blanket! I simply cannot express what your video, has shown me! Thank you (& Stylecraft Super Chunky yarn) for showing me how to do, what brings me, sincere JOY!
You are so welcome! Ans that's so good to hear! Thank you 🌸
I followed your video and made a blanket for my first crochet project ever. It turned out amazing!! I used your tutorial to make a scalloped edge to finish it off. Your vids are so clear and easy to follow x
I’ve been searching for a simple first crochet project for a baby blanket. I’m expecting my first and my granny used to always crochet blankets for the babies coming into the family. I think this is definitely something I can follow and hopefully I can make a beautiful little blanket for my tiny one.
I think this is by far the easiest tutorial to follow! I’m currently trying to make a blanket for my future child and this is perfect ❤️
I'm here trying to make a blanket for my little girl too! She's due in June. Congratulations, mama!

Love this! I have crocheted many times but with this video for a simple afghan has taught me new techniques! Thank you! Simple, instructive and visually clear!
This helped a lot I’m using hooked zpagetti and their tutorial was rubbish so I came to this one, it worked perfectly and now I have a great blanket. Everything was so understandable and easy to follow. Thanks so much for the help, highly recommend watching this video for a easy beginner guide on how to make a crochet blanket 💕
I am not very good at Crocheting, you have given me confidence. This blanket is turning out lovely. Thank you

Wonderful. I just used this stitch to make a hat for my friend and I was hoping I could use it for a blanket. Thank you!
Just finished mine and I love the look and how chunky and soft it is.
Currently started a new project with this pattern, thanks to your video, I needed something simple and quick... Thank you 😊
So simple and pretty! I love how you just make a swatch and demonstrate each stitch!
Thank you!
Thanks for your wonderful work as learnt a lot, by the way is there a name to the blanket stitch at all or did you just come across it. Thanks from Australia 🇦🇺 Louise
Of all the things I've done in almost 3 yrs., I love the way the things done (that I learned from you) and most especially this one, is my favorite.
This blanket looks so comfy and cozy. Its beautiful! Thank you!!
I. Love. You. My mother tried to teach me to crochet when I was 10 or 11, but I always got bored after finishing the foundation chain. FFWD a yr or 2 & I graduated to the sc...I thought. Unfortunately my mother wasn't very patient so instead of asking to b shown repeatedly, I decided to wing it. 👍 After crocheting, unraveling, crocheting, unraveling (literally thousands of times), getting beyond frustrated, retiring, deciding to give it yet another go, (even buying a few books) all so many times over the last 20+ yrs, I'm @ it again! This time though, there's CZcams! I've watched several 'Beginner Friendly' vids, but they aren't quite "beginner enough". Thank u for being such a conscientious, patient teacher. Until your video, no one's been able to crack my "crochet thickness". Yay! 👏👏😍
you are so genuine you speak exactly what I want to hear and say
Im making a blanket with this stitching in 4 colors and this my absolute favorite pattern, classy and gorgeous
I would love to see it
This is beautiful. Simplicity is indeed the ultimate sophistication.
Thank God and goodness for women like you! (sharing and selfless!)
Thank you for the helpful tutorial; watching and learning in 2024!
Glad it was helpful! 🌸
I am a beginner and you are SUCH a good teacher! I watched other videos and was lost, but yours was perfect. THANKS!
That's wonderful! Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback :) Rebekah

I made one of these blankets! (in a week and a half!) I did precisely, as you demonstrated and it turned out absolutely perfect! I made it, then sent it as a gift for my Stepdaughter. She was thrilled, when she received it! So, thank you, for helping me look good!
just bought my very first crochet hooks, yarn, and even a book to try and learn how to do it. i watched tons of vids, but yours was seriously the only one where i was able to follow along and actually crochet!! only a small little patch for now, but i’m gonna try and do a blanket :) Thank you!!!
Thank you for making this easy to follow. I love this. So pretty.
This is such a simple, easy, and beautiful pattern! I love it! Just found it in March 2019! I am sure I will be making this! Great instruction! Thank you!
Making the blanket is so fast and so simple. I like both the pattern and the ridges .The blanket builds up fast is what I like.
I’ve just ordered some super chunky yarn for a baby blanket for a dear friend, and I can’t wait to make this stitch!! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this tutorial! I am a BEGINNER and I've made 3 blankets and a little baby blanket. My family and friends think I'm some kind of expert! 😉
mine do too...heheheheeh xx
Who’s here in 2018? I am! 😉 thank you for this easy tutorial. I’m not a beginner however, every time I start a new project I always end up quitting because it takes such a long time to finish something. I’m going to start this today. Let’s hope I finish it. Seems super easy and this tutorial gave me motivation to start crocheting again. Thank you! 😉
I know what you mean about finishing projects! If you use a super chunky yarn for this, you can complete it pretty quickly!
This is exactly what I was about to ask. I want to try this for a gift, but I don't have a lot of free time! How many hours do you think it will take a non skilled person, give or take?
I’m in 2018 but 3 months late. YAY 😃😁 😀 Btw I love this vid, don’t you?
I am on it. Got my yarn today and will start soon. Lovely tutorial for beginners like me.
Victoria H. I'm 2018! &a beginner with tons of unfinished projects. It's hard to find time to sit and finish whole blanket. Not even do much as time but patients....I get bored after the 3rd row
Thank you for your easy tutorial. Making a super chunky narrow throw for my sofa and throughly enjoyed getting back into crocheting after 22 years break.
I'm just doing a granny stitch blanket for my grown up son I think I'll make myself a blanket with that stitch love fran xxx
if I already said "thank you", forgive my repeat! thank you for this very easy to follow instruction; my blanket is looking fabulous!
You've explained things that I've never seen before, like how to keep straight edges. Thank you :) You have a relaxing voice, too!
I have been watching quite a few tutorials and I was about to give up, and then your video showed up, and here I am super excited and ready to go back to the store to get me that exact yarn and needle 😍😍🙌🙌🤞🤞✨😌
Wow, I'm slowly coming back to crochet after many years away from it and I'm loving it. I knew I wanted to make a blanket but couldn't decide on a stitch or pattern and then I saw this video. You explained it so well, and I was able to follow along and now I have a blanket that's about a third of the way done after a week. It's so easy and comes along so quick. Thank you!
I tried this with a very soft chunky yarn and love it! I loom knit now more than crochet but I must admit I really like this pattern for my scarfs.
That's great! I love really soft chunky yarns. Rebekah
This is easy and beautiful. Made it in no time as a throw! Love this Afghan

Completely in love with this video! It's super easy to follow. You are a brilliant teacher!
Just finished my first practice piece & I'm so excited to do a full baby blanket next. Thank you so much for sharing & teaching others.
Thank you so much ☺️
I’m so glad I found your channel . I love to try to crochet but I get lost and you make it look so easy. I will be getting my materials to make this blanket. Thank you so much.
Thank you, I have never been able to crochet, thought I would give it a go while in lockdown. Just ordered more wool for my second blanket your pattern is so easy to follow.
Ive watched sooo many crocheting videos, yours is the onky one i learned from...nice and slow so im able to crochet along with you. Your calm voice helps too. Thank you very much
Thank you so much for this video! I'm a beginner and have watched a couple other videos and they go way too fast and don't explain the important stuff, like how to end rows and begin rows, which to me is the hardest part. I just spent over an hour pulling out a blanket I had been crocheting for quite some time, as it had taken on a very strange shape, lol. I just found your video, which you have taken the time to explain very thoroughly, especially in all the important places. I can't wait to try this, and again, thank you!
Love how you explain everything thanks so much , super helpful
Making a blanket for my 6th child- I’m doing double crochet in back loop only- your voice is so calming! I could listen to you all day!👍🏻

I like new patterns, I find this one easy and it comes out very pretty. I'm retired now and I like to crochet. Thank you.
I like how at 3:28 you didn't apologize. You made a mistake & didnt feel like you had to a be protectionist by saying sorry for something you so obviously did on accident. Most ppl on YT say sorry every move. You got a like👍☺
I cant thank you enough...i made a gorgeous blanket for my 5 year old grandson...it sooooo warm he loves it! Im so glad i found you XX
Love it! I did this with a single crochet and it is super warm!!
Did this with a lovely chunky variegated yarn but did trebles not half Trebles
it looks amazing thanks for the great idea
Thank you so much for this video! I have started to make a throw blanket from this pattern; it is my VERY FIRST crochet project ever, and I am super excited to actually be making/crocheting a blanket! Thank you for the easy to understand instructions! xoxo

I’m fairly new to crochet and this is my second tutorial I’ve followed.I’ve found this easy to follow even though I’m left handed and can honestly say my work looks the same as on the video. I’m feeling confident doing a blanket for my daughter, it’s my first big project. Thank you!
I wanted to start knitting. So I asked my wife to buy me some yarn and needles. She accidentally bought me crochet hooks. At first, I was very intimidated but I’ve been working hard at it. Now I am quite literally hooked! Can’t wait to make this for my daughter.

Thankyou for your clear & simple instructions.I'm a beginner and I've made a few gifts from your tutorials!
I'm making a baby blanket and this helped me so much. Thanks Blossom Crochet.
Your pattern is going to work out great for me because I'm still a beginner. The reason I say that is, that I don't know how to read a pattern. By watching videos that is how I learn, so thank you for sharing. I'm sure I'll see more of you. One more thing, I like the Fluffy Clouds blanket too. Judy :)
Thanks so much Judy, I'm really glad you like the tutorials!
My mother taught me to do this when I was very little. I still dont hold the hook the right way but I can go fast and love learning how to do different things. Some day I may learn to read a pattern
I'm brand new to an cant read a pattern to it can be so frustrating lol but I'm gonna try this
