I followed your tutorial and made a blanket for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. I’m glad I got the idea to do this in late November because it took me a month to finish. Almost 33 hours of work. Your tutorial was insanely helpful and very easy to follow. Everyone I’ve shown has loved the blanket and says it looks amazing. Thanking you for that

My grandmother taught me to crochet/sew during summer visits when I was 7 yrs old. I must have been a very patient little girl & her a patient teacher. she made beautiful blankets for the church. Those memories with her have stayed with me all my life.

This was a really good video on getting started on a blanket. I would recommend using stitch markers on each end of the blanket which helped prevent me from missing stitches on each row. It's also a good idea to measure your chain when you start out because your initial count may not be the same as what is shown in the video (will be different depending on the yarn you are using). I had to restart a couple times and it seemed that 90 chains was better in the end for the type of yarn I was using.

This tutorial is great! I couldn’t find the yarn recommended so I’m using 8 different colors, a few different brands, same size (6), and 100% polyester yarn, and only changing the color when I run out.
They didn’t have the hook size so I bought a 15.75mm and a 10mm. 10mm works great! Even 15mm seems gigantic.
Starting it was extremely difficult as I couldn’t see my stitches and even with multiple tutorials I couldn’t find exactly where to insert my hook. I’ve evened out since.
One skein made 19.5 rows for me.
    I’ll update when I finish!
Update: Finished! Took me about 2 weeks. I used 5 full skeins and 8 rows of 3 different colors. It turned out great! Very heavy and thick, and long enough to cover my whole body. Thanks for the tutorial!

I've been crocheting my first blanket for almost a week now. A little here and a little there. I haven't picked up a crochet hook since around 2014 or 2015 so it's been a minute! A good tip that I learned is to complete a swatch of the project you're looking into creating. That'll build your confidence and will give you a little "warm-up session' before you get started. The blanket I'm creating is completely single crochet so easy peasy! :) I learned right off the bat as well: COUNT YOUR STITCHES!!!!! I count my stitches as I am crocheting and it keeps me from having to go back. I can't wait to complete my first mixed-color blanket. :) Thanks for the video.

Thank you for this tutorial! :) You we’re so helpful! I’m an absolute newbie to crochetting and you made the whole process so easy! I made a blanket for my mom for Christmas which ended up being the perfect gift because she also just had a knee surgery and has spent a lot of time resting and recovering. She loves it so much and it felt good to give her something I made myself! It was my first ever crochet project after only practicing some different stitches. It took me quite awhile to finish but that was mainly because I didn’t have much time to work on it. Definitely helped me get the single crochet stitch down so I can crochet a lot faster now! Great video! Great beginner pattern! Great blanket! 🥰❤️

I've been trying to learn how to crochet for over a year now. Every video I have watched overwhelms me, and the patterns are simply too confusing. However, I found Bhooked (and especially this beginner friendly blanket tutorial) sometime last week and I have loved it!
