@KereTista-km9ck I think he meant more in the sense that, the punch is often overlooked and can catch even the most dynamic striker by surprise just because of how basic and rudimentary it is for a high caliber fighter. Case in point, this finish here. Izzy and Pereira are highly accomplished and storied kickboxers, yet the straight punch is what ended it, as opposed to a flying knee, or a spinning head kick as you might expect from these two spectacular strikers.
It's one of the only punches I can think of that has all the attributes. It's quick, powerful, hard to see and efficient. Usually a strike is lacking one.
I gotta go straight right as number one for sure. Straight punches are slept on in general. Probably second best would be jab followed by lead hook at third. Wonder if we are on the same page
Oh wow, you can actually see Izzy try to counter strike Sean's left jab, but since Sean is using gravity to drop his stance and immediately throw a right hook, he both ducks under the counter strike and accelerates his right hook into Izzy's face. He out-countered Izzy's counter. Sweet jesus what level of skill Sean had that night.
Strickland was humble enough to know that Perreira knew all his weaknesses and was the one that could help him. As a champ you have to be humble enough to recognize your weaknesses.

Izzy seems reliant on guys to be tentative and to not really commit to their shots, so he can catch them lacking and blast them with kicks and check hooks. Sean smothered him and didn’t allow room for Izzy to find a counter, because Sean was 100% willing to stand and throw. Sean got KO’d by Alex, because Alex WANTS you to try and trade with him.
