- Bicycle Engine Kit Wiring Tips Troubleshooting. This video demonstrates wiring up the electrical side of your bicycle engine kit. After you have watched this video you simply can't go wrong, this is a step by step guide that will hopefully un-baffle the whole process for you.
Just a quick message to let you know I have started a new CZcams channel for my other passion “Electronics Repair”. If it’s something you might be interested in, I would be very grateful if you would check out the channel on the link below. I try to post at least 1 video every week so do subscribe if you would like to be notified as soon as they are released. Thank you 🙏

thank you very much for making this video I was having trouble getting a headache and once I saw your video I was very happy thank you very much
Exactly what I was looking for! THANKS
thanks
use it to charge your phone with whitewire
This worked for me got engine running thanks
If you remake the video, remember that the Kill Switch makes a short circuit so the motor doesn't get a spark.
It takes all power from the Magneto and use's it up faster then the CDS that converts into high Voltage to make a spark.
My Motor on my bike did not fit and now i have it on and it fits.
Their is a bit of confusion with the wires as the book that's about 40 pages does not specify what to do with the 2nd wire of the kill switch.
Also the people who printed it did it in black and white with a crappy printer.
I found this video helpful at a certain degree.
My bike had it's wires colored backwards. Which made it a pain in the ass to diagnose that it wasn't the cheapness of the parts at fault. I couldn't find quality anywhere for these bike engines anywhere. Mine has a yellow or weak spark. I've bought two new CDI magneto parts and still get a weak spark. I'm down to replacing the entire wiring setup and will be soldering the wires directly to the parts instead of either using spade terminals or soldering wires to each other at both ends. The white wire is for optional headlight but as is the spark sucks I can only imagine how bad it would be if it was having to share power from a headlight as well.
I'm tring to figure out what wires to hook up where i just gota new stator/ignition with a blue black and red wire if anyone knows a little help would be appreciated
The Grubee SkyHawk kits come with all the proper connections so no need to cut or solder anything!
Werid my 50cc 2stroke is different it has the same metle peice on it tanks for show ing
I disagree that you don't use the white wire, You should connect the white wire to the red wire on the kill switch and the black wire on the kill switch to an earth point on the engine (or frame if your engine is earthed to the frame).
unfortunately the kit I ordered came with different color wires the engine has its own colors and the CDI unit has its own colors and no instructions.
Hi Simon, The engine will usually have three wires.
1. White (not used)
2. Black
3. Blue or Green.
The CDI will have 2 wires.
1. Black
2. Blue or Green
Just connect black to black and blue or green to blue or green. Thats it now just wire your kill switch in as normal.
the killswitch is actually bad for the magneto .use the choke.
