    There's so much to work on. It can be discouraging if you don't have a plan. This one was worked out by one of the greats. Thanks for sharing that. Playing the same old stuff can be practicing mistakes. I like to make new mistakes...& correct them BEFORE they become hard wired. You always come up with ideas to make it interesting. Great teaching. Thanks.

      Hi Deryck, I think I like new mistakes as well! I try to make the mundane fun!

    I have Marcel Moyse Daily Exercises and it looks very hard to read. This book looks alot easier for a beginner. Thanks for posting this.

      You are welcome! Yes you might find this book better. Also Trevor Wye’s Technique is a good book for less experienced player.

    I absolutely LOVE this book as well! I've been doing 1 line a day and with a metronome. I agree - some of them are BRUTAL!!!!!

      Hi Rozalind! It’s like physical exercise. We don’t always want to but we feel so good after it’s done. Loved your performance at the Mid-Atlantic flute convention!

    Hello Maestra.
    I am new to the flute and appreciate that these exercises are advanced at this stage of my study, but can these also be practiced on the closed flute or just on the open flute? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    • @DoctorFlute
      @DoctorFlute  Před 3 lety

      Hi Snakepit359! Welcome to the flute. You can do everything on the closed flute. There is nothing you can't play except some modern techniques. I am excited for you flute journey. Keep me posted on how you are doing.

    What grade level should I be at to start this book?

      I think an intermediate player could handle this. Some of them are really difficult but you can slow those particular ones down. You can probably do it.
