Chicago was my first solo trip the U.S. (back in 2012) and I fell in love with that city.
My favorite part, seeing the Lions of Tsavo and Sue the T-rex at The Field Museum.
Almost 9 years and I still miss that city.
Wow. The Art Institute of Chicago seems like one of the best museums in the world!
That’s cuz it is
It has strong impressionist and early 20th century American collections, but otherwise is notable really only as a regional attraction. Then again, if you just want to spend a day seeing great art, it’s a great place, just not even close to being in the top 10 collections of art in the world.

Make sure you see the Museum of Science and Industry's beloved U-505 submarine. Take the submarine tour. It's certainly a piece of history you'd appreciate.

As a Chicagoan lemme say DONT rent a kayak...instead do the architecture boat tour (Wendella is the best).

New York City!
New York is more iconic, but chicago is a must as well
I’m from Chicago, but I live in NYC. Chicago is much cheaper, cleaner, and less stressful. However, NYC has way more history, cultural significance, and an energy and life that makes Chicago feel dead by comparison.

10. I'm not sure how I will handle my fear of heights on this spellbinding site seeing contraption built into the the building as an "observation deck", this is an architectural wonder and I can only imagine my reaction on such a "thrill ride" ! I would love to experience this. Who would go with me I wonder? 94 floors is right up my alley if I had a dime for every time I think about conquering my fear of heights.
9. #WrigleyField would be on the top of my list for places to visit, I've never been to a real #baseballgame and would love to go to #Chicago for my first game ever, that's very imaginable seeing as it's a very realistic idea, but there's plenty of other stadiums in the US I could visit as well! This is a great top choice though!
8. #TheMagnificentMile looks to be an extravagant shopping district throughout Chicago and would definitely satisfy my cravings for everything new and fashionable. I could spend thousands here.
7. #TheCloudGate is a wondrous site to be had in the #DigitalAge, great for visual art presentations, you could say a lot about this tourists attraction and be sure to get all the attention on #socialmedia, check it out of you have the chance, I know I would!
6. #ChicagoRiverwalk is a great scenic route and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and you're sure to get attention for your cause or product if you have a legal permit to solicit, perhaps there's options for vendors to. I'm not really sure.
5. #LincolnParkZoo is a wonderful attraction, I love animals and attending exhibits especially if it's something I can afford. I have not been to the zoo as many times as I would like to brag about, but I still really enjoy learning about animals and can't wait to visit a place like this! Chicago is definitely number one on my list for touring and visiting. I'm not sure about living here for a prolonged period of time but would really enjoy spending my time in a state like Chicago.
