    So, I know this video was published 2yrs ago, but I've been rewatching your CK3 videos while I multitask projects. One piece of advice I would throw out there is to use your courtiers for advantageous traits. In many of your videos, you have these instances of running after enemy armies for extended periods. During the course of playing, make sure you always have an organizer on hand you can put in command of your army to chase the opposition down. Simply pause 1 day before the battle (you can see this by hovering over the little upcoming battle icon) and switch your commander to the one you actually want in charge to fight the actual battle. The same goes for keeping an engineer handy for sieging and logisticians for those long drawn-out wars that will have you parking armies for resupply. Somewhere around every 3-5 years or so I like to do a check where I marry courtiers off if needed to ensure I always have certain traits. Sometimes there are no candidates available, but that's usually only in the early game unless you're playing in a particularly remote location.
    This same strategy works for non-military traits too, such as gardener, wise man, architect, etc. This helps so you have good people for those court positions. For example, a person with high learning and the patient trait will make for a great Court Tutor. There are many, many, combinations of traits that boost a character's competency for a certain position or for certain uses in battles.

    There's a few more traditions you may want to look at.
    Fervant Temple Builders: +750 prestige and +5 religious Fervor every time you build a temple holding, +2 fervor every time you upgrade a temple, and further reductions to build cost with the zealous, humble, mystic, and learning education traits.
    Religious Patronage: +25% piety from buildings, +2000 piety when constructing a temple holding, +150 Renown when building a temple holding, +75 renown when upgrading a temple holding.
    Strong Believers: increases likelyhood of children gaining the humble or zealous personality traits.
    Mendicant Mystics: increases the chances of getting the Mystic trait, up to 8% increased income for characters with traits of the mystic line, and wandering mystic events are more likely.
    Philosopher Culture: +20% Monthly Learning Lifestyle experience, +5% culture Fascination progress per Learning Education trait level, +5% cultural fascination progress if culture head has the scholar trait, and children are three times more likely to get the pensive trait.
    Collective Lands: +20% Development growth everywhere, _but_ +20 construction time and -20% control growth. Also some bonuses to peasant leader characters.

    Paradox should really learn about diminishingly stacking percentage based reductions. In other words: -10% and -10% shouldn't total -20%, but instead mean 0.9x0.9=0.81 leading to -19%. That way they'd never need a minimum building time without any brutal changes. What makes Paradox games so great is that they give you tons of options, but this also means that stacking those options perfectly leads to insane results. If stacking isn't as effective, there's no need to reduce the amount of options.

    this game desperately needs some balance. i never play past 1200 because its a cakewalk. every character goes down steward then scholar. succesion is easy through disinheriting kids thanks to the renown you get from royal courts. good dlc but wildly unbalanced

    Hello i have a questioj you always use lolardy in your videos of ck3 why not use waldensianism which is also christian faith with aniconism and lay clergy. Its tenets are mendiant preachers aniconism and wows of poverty

    @perhapsyes2493 Před 2 lety +1

    Honestly this perk needs to be constrained to the max "ordinary" encourage development limit.
    Or a cooldown...
    Or just a rework like base dev growth, plus what I said earlier. It feels too gamey.

    Hey Zieley, I’m new to CK3. I want to ask if it is possible to conquer the world as Ireland. Because every time after I united ireland, I’m stuck and I can’t conquer England or alba after I conquered Wales. So I want to ask if it is possible to conquer the whole world as Ireland, thanksssss!

    • @Zieley
      @Zieley  Před 2 lety

      I mean its possible, but definitely not the easiest/fastest thing to do. You'd have to develop your Irish lands for a while so that you can become super strong first

    I did a similar thing but not at all. I took Bjorn Ironside on an adventure to take over bohemia and made a new culture blend keeping some cool bits from Norse and took over the mine in Sardinia.
    I used Sardinia mine as a launch point for many raids and was able to build up pretty well and get all the extra renown from the sons of Ragnar.
    I did later reform astaru but now I'm deciding what I want to do next.
