Thank you. They changed it a bit in the newer models so you can’t pull the whole assembly out (blocked in by thread insert). Your video made it easy to troubleshoot around that and remove the white piece and o-ring. Showers are great now!

My model must be manufactured a little differently even though the shower head looks exactly like yours. The tiny holes in the light blue button shaped disk were more granular. The disk didn't pop out easily either. I had to set it on the table and tap several times with a good deal of force upon the head of a blunt metal rod I had inserted through the small hole in the ball end. After it finally popped out, the plastic cross didn't come out easily. I really had to work at it and it took a lot of effort to snap it back in place after removing the rubber ring from inside. However, I managed to do it myself thanks to your video, and now we're enjoying tempest like showers. It feels as if Poseidon himself is trying to annihilate me with a furious typhoon every morning. I have your video to thank for that.

Great vid! I just bought this unit and was able to make this modification tot he unit straight out of the box in less than 30 seconds. Instead of disassembling the small plastic water regulator, I was able to cut the o-ring in place with a #11 Xacto blade, pull it out of the regulator, and reassemble the unit. Super easy, works perfectly, and talk about a good shower afterwards!

Thanks for the recommendation on this. I bought a Moen Attract Combo and was furious at how pitiful the water flow was compared to my previous showerhead. The previous showerhead was the cheap $30 option at Ace. I took out the entire plastic piece and the water flow is satisfactory now. I might try drilling out that 1/4" hole in the joint for more flow. For now, its satisfactory.

Thank you sir. I left the tiny plastic piece out because I damaged it trying to remove it. I was also having leaking issues from the base of the shower head and found out the placement of that white plastic gasket is very important. For those that might have this same issue, I recommend you look at which way that plastic gasket is placed in the video and push it all the way down until you can see the threads. Also, I found out that screwing on the twisting cap onto the shower head while off the wall is best. I wasn’t getting a tight enough seal while I was doing this same operation on the wall. Best of luck everyone!

Its still going to be a crappy shower (just like the Seinfeld episode). The restriction starts where the unit screws onto the 1/2” pipe, it reduces water flow from that 1/2” down to a 1/4” hole and then the plastic crap reduces pressure and volume even more.

If you own a drill and have some nice bits just stick it in the vice and drill it out in like 3 seconds instead of performing surgery on this stupid part that makes rinsing off take longer leaving the water running longer and probably not ACTUALLY SAVING ANY WATER on anything that needs more flow to get done and or isn't something the is running 24/7.
Did they think that people were in the shower too long wasting water so to save water limiting the effectiveness of the tool you use to clean yourself with would make things better as if people would still shower the same amount of time as if getting clean wasn't a factor to using a shower?
Make it flow like having a 5 gallon bucket dumped on you and people will take 30 second showers one bucket gets wet, soap and shampoo up, next bucket rinses off, done. with these restrictive its like 45 min trying to get soap out of your hair. Energy efficiency doesn't help if the reason we are using energy isn't getting done efficiently itself. Imagine they restrict the flow on a pool fill line. 15k gallows and you are allowed to use 1.6gpm. Saving water right? Why not restrict the sink faucet too, it's not like we are trying to fill our cup or pot up with water, were all stupid and don't even look at what we are doing and we all fill containers for 7.9 seconds then we are done right?
Politicians are idiots. Experts are ignorant about everything but what they are said to be expert in and if a politician is who is referring to them then they are not speaking as an expert they are speaking what the politician told them too that supports the narrative they are trying to make. Climate is changing, we can fix it just give us control over a 100 trillion dollar energy market and make us leaders of the world government that dictates how much you are allowed to exhale and when you die fines your family for the co2 your corpse emits as you rot in the ground. Also, it get hot and that because of climate change, it gets cold, climate change, it get wet, climate change, windy climate change, fire, climate change, illegal immigrants, climate change, pro assisted suicide, because climate change, force whole population to take mRNA therapy and legally redefine the word vaccine to no long state anything abbot immunity or immune response and hide from the public all risks because you are trying to save the planet so gotta make the rate of death go up higher then the birth rate because CLIMATE CHANGE. Damn human scum, die, cause the planet needs to be saved....
The sun in 1 billion years: Ill give you climate change, time to become a red giant and put out 20% more radiation... EARTH NO LONGER CAN
HAVE WATER IN LIQUID FORM ON IT TOTAL EXTINCTION.
WOULD OF BEEN NICE IF HUMANS USED THOSE NOW BURNING FOSSIL FUELS TO COLONIZE THE GALAXY BUT THEY ALL DIED TRYING TO REDUCE EMISSIONS DURING THE ICE AGE THAT DESPITE THE HIGHER CO2 LEVELS STILL HAPPENED AFTER THE 2000's ad because that is the cycle the earth was in and and idiots didn't understand that that previous 20k years was the inter glacial warm period that is part of a 200k year cycles that has been going on for 2 million years and after then banned co2 it got colder from 2050 - 58000 ad before it got warm enough to support a large population of anything again. Turns out a couple degrees of warming would of made food production and fresh water availability higher and require far less energy for us tropical apes to survive winters where cold left everyone cold and hungry and the ignorant didn't realize that a warmer climate is a wetter one with a colder one totally dry as heat evaporates water giving you humidity while cold freezes any water out of the air entirely drying out everything and it would rain in the form of snow then just never rain again unless it was hot again first to melt ice and evaporate the water so it was possible to precipitate. While heat made the rivers constantly get rain giving billions of people fresh drinking water without the need of massive amounts of energy to get water and heat and grow food and travel when it was warm people didn't need to heat homes and streams were never dry because dry places are cause by pressure systems and geological structures forcing humid air into different elevations and pressures where near a mountain range it rains then after that it is dry air. CO2 levels also seems to change mostly after the climate avg temp changed because that global average would only be possible to change with the ocean changing total average temperature and that change in ocean temps changes how much co2 can be dissolved into the water at sea level pressures and this changes the co2 in the atmosphere. Temps effect co2 levels not the other way around, green house gasses diffuse heat in a short time span, they don't trap heat. Thats why when the sun goes down you get 30 degree temp swings because the gas atmosphere holds almost no heat relative tot he solid matter and the heat passing through is just being diffused and not retained and it does stay long not even through a single night.
