    I have learned to use an old rag (one complete wrap) before apply tools to prevent digging and scratching on the shower head. I do this for removal as well if I am re-suing the shower head. It keeps the nut from looking all raggedy.
    The tape wrap goes clock wise, it should always go in the same direction as either the nut or the unit you would be attaching. The tape wrap doesn't have to be perfectly lain down on the threads, it's more important to get a few good wraps at least.

    Thank you for not editing this to make it look like it was all smooth sailing from the start! I appreciate you for humanizing the project, and for sharing knowledge as well! Nicely done!!

    Good learn from your issues. I didn't have a large enough open ended wrench and my adjustable kept sliding. I ended up with a vise grip but used a towel to protect the finish. Came out beautifully. Thank you for posting!

    It would have helped to have 4 or 5 more illustrations on how to wrap teflon tap on the threads, and also how to choose an appropriately sized wrench.

      No requirement on wrapping tape. You choose. On size of wrench I would use an adjustable wrench.

    Doesnt the teflon go clockwise

      Up to you, it will not matter.

    • @bripeck
      @bripeck Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, the Teflon always goes clockwise. He did it right the first time but screwed it up the second time. If you put it on counterclockwise, it’ll unwrap the tape as you tighten the fitting. I’m surprised he didn’t drop the wrench and break a tile!

    I'm having leaks at the swivel through the white ring. The white ring is either broke or not on correctly. Have you had this issue before?

    • @reevesjustin
      @reevesjustin Před 2 lety +3

      @@DudeCapone I think I had the ring set up backwards on the swivel. I really don't remember. I've moved since then. I do remember going to a hardware store and buying a rubber gasket that was the same size as the ring. That may have fixed my issue, but like I said, I don't remember make sure the ring is installed in the right order

    The small shower head water coming out after you pressed off button. Why? Is this normal in Moen shower heads? I don’t see in other brands never leak any water at all i off position(any amount). Please check your shower head and update here.
