We cover it all and much more in this video!

The Best Video On VM Networking - I have watched many and nothing comes close.
Wow, thank you!🤝
@@absprog I have shared it with my friends at work and they share the same feedback as mine.
Thank you very much for the great explanation! I have one question, I need two VMs to be connected to each other, and one of these two to also have Internet access at the same time. Based on the video, I should be able to achieve this with a single adapter using "NAT Network". However, I cannot access the Internet for some reason with the default settings. Is there any additional step I need to take to enable the Internet access?
The best detailed and simplified 101 I've ever seen.. Thanks Matan.
ובעברית :) תודה על הסרטון, אתה מסביר בצורה מושלמת, הלוואי ויהיו הרבה אנשים כמוך שככה מסבירים.
תודה רבה Maoz

Is it possible to SSH into a NAT or a NatNetwork from outside the network?

I'm glad that it was helpful to you. Thank you very much!
Bravo sir! Amazing explanation!! I was trying to route my traffic from one VM to a VM running a VPN then out to the internet. Bridged seems like the best way to do this. My goal is to use the VPN server to encrypt my traffic then use proxychains to change geolocation to eliminate the captchas when using tor.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad that my explanation was helpful to you. I hope you achieve your goals but it's worth noting that using a VPN and proxychains together can slow down your internet connection
crystal clear explanation ..keep up the good work
Thank you, I appreciate your positive feedback. Your words motivate me a lot

I am trying to ping the host computer using a vm connected using NAT, I get "Destination host unreachable". Any thoughts?
i dont understand why on NAT option I dont have internet access from VM via windows. I have enabled DHCP address automatic obtain on host-only adapter on windows. the IP address of host-only adapter on windows is 10.0.2.15 just like the IP on linux . i can ping the host os from VM . So i dont understand why the nat not working. On a different linux VM on VirtualBox (mint) the nat works great! can you help me ?
Thank you!
As others have mentioned.... the explanation is simple and that reference table... priceless..
I do wonder.... is there a way to configure a VM so it doesn't have internet access but it can access other physical machines on the network ?
(aside from just blocking the IP on your router)
Thanks for this. Super helpful for setting up my homelab.
Glad it was helpful Aaron 🤗
That was a very clear explanation, thanks a lot.

Awesome video 👌👌👌
Many many thanks 😊
okay, so which one is recommended (safer) to use if I want to try viruses without transfering them to my own pc?
If it's an executable file you want to run (that contains the virus you want to check), maybe you can download it to the VM, then turn off networking completely before running it?
Another important thing - make sure you didn't enable shared clipboard and you don't have any shared folders.
@@absprog I turn my internet off everytime but I’m afraid that I can get something while downloading it(while the setup). I’m not sure if the setup can bring me something into my own pc while having internet, because some of them require internet to do the setup. Thank you for your answer, I will make sure I don’t have my folders shared with the VM.
So clear , nice.
Thank you for your feedback!👍
Thanks a lot That was helpfull.
I appreciate your comment Hadi! It's always great to hear that viewers find my videos helpful

Thankyou so much sir. I was confused on having same ip address for different VM s on NAT. Watched many videos and try to understand. All was waste of time. But your explanation gives what i wanted. Thankyou so much again. 🤩🤩🤩
Also, can you suggest which adapter should i use to study cybersecurity with Kali and metasploitable vm s in virtual box. I am a beginner.
Happy to help
Thank you so much!

VM can access internet through host, also can reach host and other external systems within same network ? Right
Assuming you’re talking about bridged network, you’re absolutely right
@@absprog sorry forgot to mention the network. I am talking about NAT Network. I can ping my father laptop which connected in the same Wi-Fi through the VMs
wow man you won a subscriber.
Glad you liked it!
Nice video!
Thank you!👍
I use another way to set up network. It based on host-only network, windows host as gateway.
Windows can share network from one to another network card,.
I share wifi to the host-only virtual network card, and all vm join this host-only network.
Set up dhcp and make sure the gateway ip is the virtual network card on host(windows will force change it to 192.168.137.1)
VM should be able to access network, and since it is the host-only network,vm and host can communicate each other
