    Huge improvement to your fuel tank. I wish the disconnect had been available when I spent too much money for my marine fuel tank.

    That's awesome! Maybe we can now just have that fitting at the rear of the van and just add the tank when needed instead of trying to find a suitable spot for the tank on the Jayco Expanda

    It is a good plan to purchase 2 so you have a back up, the first unit stopped working for me and I had to switch out for the second one.

    Great video! Quick question: when you're using the quick disconnect each time you have to fill up and reconnect, does it get air pockets? If so, does your diesel heater interface throw an error?

    • @abigpeacheyadventure
      @abigpeacheyadventure  Před 10 měsíci +4

      Hi mate, a small air pocket on the tank-side... not enough to impact things

    1. Any link to the fuel line quick disconnect? What side does it have to be for the chinese diesel heater, will be buying the 5 KW version.
    2. Any air bubbles foring in the line when reconnecting the line?

  • @philwilliams23

    Whats the purpose of the Air Diesel Parking Heater Oil Extractor Fuel Tank Sender Standpipe Pipe? Can't you just tap the bottom of the tank instead?

    • @WhiteDieselShed
      @WhiteDieselShed Před 5 měsíci

      Older comment but yes you can, but if the seal fails it empties the contents into the vehicle. Using the standpipe is a better option if you can use one.

  • @raczyk
    @raczyk Před 10 měsíci

    In the manual it says fuel tank should be below the heater level. Is that essential? Or will it eventuallly generate erroe. Odea.

    • @WhiteDieselShed
      @WhiteDieselShed Před 5 měsíci

      Old post but a lot of the cased units have the tank on the top. The only thing on my mind is that it may self syphon if the pump fails and allows air into the system. I just keep the pump to heater hose as short as possible.

  • @andrewdambrosio2892

    Where is your breather? Or to you just crack the lid when you use the heater?

    • @abigpeacheyadventure
      @abigpeacheyadventure  Před 2 lety +1

      Yep, just crack the lid during use (it’s got the second breather cap on the other side)

      Hi there, Great lot of videos. I am about to install one of these heaters in our motorhome but I am fitting the tank with a "breather-non return valve" as used in motor cross bike tanks. They let air in but in the event of a fall don't let the fuel out. I believe this will be MUCH more convenient than having to go and open the lid each time you use the heater especially when the tank is outside or in a difficult to get to place. I will let anyone know how it all goes if you are interested. Graham R. South Australia

    • @abigpeacheyadventure
      @abigpeacheyadventure  Před 2 lety +4

      Hey Jacob, not at all - both sides of the fitting are valved, so it doesn’t leak from either side (and maintains its prime too)
