    Does the perfect football boot exist? Of course, that question will always be up for debate, mainly because everybody likes something different, but if we're talking about pure refinement, I think it's hard to argue that these football boots aren't as close to perfection as we've ever seen!
    In today's video we take a closer look at the new Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Japan, the made in Japan, non-beta version of the iconic Neo series! They are the result of 13 years of major and minor tweaking to create what is arguably the perfect form of the original Morelia Neo concept! We discuss what changes have been made, how they fit and feel on feet, as well as why I think they're the most perfect football boots currently available in 2023!

    Crazy how I gave Mizuno a chance and now I haven’t looked at synthetics again. Nike and Adidas have dropped the ball letting go of their top materials(carbon fiber, k leather, amazing soleplates).
    If only they would have kept some silos like the adi pure line, the t90 &other lines alive then they would have never lost some of our interest.
    Mizuno however does have potential to keep turning tables. I wish they would innovate more ideas like the past morelia DNA, or the return of the wave cup line and make those additions to their line up.
    However, I respect their marketing by keeping it simple and reliable. You don’t get that no more from other brands, especially just luring you in with non sense technology or investing with big designer/car brands.

      I have the Mizuno Wave Cup. It's the most comfortable boot I own together with the suppleness of its leather. However, the Morelia line is a bit too narrow for my foot shape. Hence why I always went for the discontinued Rebulas or the Monarcidas. Until then, the Morelias would be a pass for me

    Would you take these over the Alpha's? I've currently got the Alpha MIj's and I'm on the fence about returning them. The Karvo soleplate isn't really doing anything for me, and whilst the boots disappear when I put them on my feet (They are ridiculously light, even compared to the neo 4 beta and vapor 15's), the heel lockdown isn't great and shooting with the boots doesn't have that ping I'm looking for. Only issue is I'll have to import the neo 4, but I'm looking for something a bit more relaxed than the beta's as I consider them game boots.

    MIJ Mizuno is on another level
    Being an old school ‘power boot’ fan, I grew up using Predators.
    When I discovered the Mizuno Wave Ignitus MIJ they were like that ‘old school’ predator power boot sort of feel
    Rubber striking elements, a little thicker, offering more protection (from those 0-35 goons ) and they had that hard heel guard a la Predator
    Wish I bought 3 pairs of the Wave Ignitus MIJ - that was the last premium; protective & ‘old school’ power boot which I just loved.

I’ve worn them for almost a month now and I have to tape my heel to avoid that rubbing. As I love them for everything else, is my issue about the fit of the Betas (and go for the regular Neos, or Morelia 2 in case that the heel is about the same), or that I should go TTS? Thank you!

It's not a bad boot, but for that pricepoint, they're not better than Nike Premier 3, Asics DS Light (non X-Fly version), or New Balance 442 Pros -- all of those boots have higher quality k-leather on the forefoot. It's a really gd good boot. All leather, full-length karvo shank, premium laces, premium insoles. Fun fact: in Japan, the Alder Yata has the same pricepoint as a pair of MIJ Mizunos, but when these boots are purchased from outside of Japan, the Adlers become cheaper while the Mizunos get their price hiked.

    Not perfection for me -- I hate the bizarre fabric achilles tab the boots have had since Neo 3, it does nothing to improve the fit, I'm pretty sure it's only been done to take a few trivial grams off of the weight.
    You need to try Asics. They give Mizuno a serious run for the 'best modern leather boots' title.

    Is the lockdown really better in neo 4s compared to neo 3s?

    • @CB-gr5uy
      @CB-gr5uy Před 7 měsíci +1

      A little bit but not by much. The new lacing system helps a little and there’s also an inner cage to reinforce the midfood that helps a little

      @@CB-gr5uy i wish the lockdown was more responsive and stable so that it would keep your feet locked and not let it move at all. It would be absolute perfection

      I’d say it’s about the same. If there is a difference, it’s extremely minor.

      @@M_SH-10 yea sometimes it’s hard for me to pick them over the alphas because of that. Even with grip socks, I can feel my toes moving around when I make hard cuts. Thats the price for thin leather though

      Those studs seem more AG to me than FG. I definitely dont get the best grip with them on FG.

    • @CognizantCheddar
      @CognizantCheddar Před 7 měsíci +1

      They FG soleplate is fine for AG pitches with decent depth. Mizuno does have an AG-specific soleplate that they offer on some of their boots, but it's really only necessary for the extremely cheap AG pitches that are almost carpet. The studs on Mizuno's AG-specific soleplate are _very_ short.

    Mizuno should sell these for $150 since most are not interested.

    listen to me 😠
    because this is a mizuno video, people who clicks it generally have tried, and obviously loves mizuno. because after trying them, who won't. come on.
    but check out josh's "top boots" videos where he put mizuno with boots from other brands.
    observe the comments. you will see maybe one or two people actually acknowledging the quality of the mizunos. the majority will be clamoring for the usual nikes and adidas and pumas.
    the sad low amount of football players who have tried -or even willing to consider mizuno boots, is downright crime.
