4:40 Technically the rebels should get a big buff from destroying your own planets.
At least that's what happened when the Empire destroyed Alderaan and makes sense from a logical point of view; if staying loyal doesn't mean that the empire won't kill you, what's the point of staying loyal in the first place?
Maybe the Rebels should just get a buff in general when the Death Star is deployed. Like faster build time and credits so they can get a fleet out before the death star is destroyed
well kinda but also not Alderaan was not loyal but was a wake up call to many in the Galaxy to rally against the empires tyranny

not only that, even the empire didn't know that Alderaan was so much behind the rebellion, they only had a hunch
@@kuhluhOG That's why I liked the old EU lore where Vader argued that Tarkin had no right to destroy Alderaan without the Emperor's approval and how the Emperor was FURIOUS when he heard about it. The Empire shouldn't be stupid and think blowing up a planet like Alderaan and then ordering a genocide of the survivors was going to make the galaxy like them. The Disney canon of the Empire owning up to it and doubling down made no sense except to make the Empire even more comically evil. At least the old lore the Empire tried to seem like a realistic evil empire with blaming Alderaan on the Rebels who hijacked the station and blew up Alderaan doing so.

I never wanted to watch these however many years ago, but I got cutious with the episode the other day... I've seen the whole lot at least twice over.
This game was the first videos of Bo’s I ever watched. It was amazing and he had me hooked.
I put on The Last Battle from ANH soundtrack, and it ended and switched to The Throne Room right as the tides turned and Braun began winning the battle. Legendary.
I find it funny that the Death Star II here is unfinished, like it was in Episode 6. Palpatine looked at it and went "good enough"
Considering the damage it did, Palpatine was right.

Unironically as empire deleting all capital ship planets is a huge win. Since then you have a super star destroyer, thrawn and peiet that infinitely respawns while everyone else only has 1 hero capital ship (agressor/home one)
The battle between Braun and Bo was absolutely legendary, even better than the droid attack on the Wookies
Wow one of the greatest battles in cinematic history. You need just to publish the uncut version of only the battle, or maybe cho king's prospective of it!

Choking put too much faith into plot armor of the ships with 5 heroes
The plot armor doesn't really work when you're being melted with a death beam capable of destroying entire planets
Ah the Death Star, the best part of the game. I love playing Empire. So long as you keep it you can just roll through people, but IG-88 is a... less fun addition. You have to invest so much to get the DS out, keep it safe for a long while, and you just lose it from one droid.
To be fair to the consortium (although I think they are the strongest of the 3 playable factions) it costs a lot of money for IG-88 to blow up the death star like that. It is weird that the rebels have to do it the hard way with rogue squadron, but IG-88 just needs to be at the right place at the right time with a lot of money to destroy not just the death star, but the fleet and planet it's on.
To be fair though the Death Star is fun to play as but less fun to play against. Rogue squadron is too fragile to be a good counter. I wish the designers came up with a better counter for the Zann Constorium though, one that the Empire could play against in a way that felt fair
@@mini2239 I'm used to AOTR rogue squadron, who are made far more tanky bc fighter heroes die so damn quickly in base
@@mini2239 Yes. I concur, Rogue Squadron needs to be more tanky and there should have been a bit more counterplay, though that's what the mods are kinda for.

everytime u fire the death str laser MOVE UR MOUSE so u can command ur troops while the cenimatic happens in the backround INSANELY useful so u dont get ur ships killed in case he can put up a fight
More Empire at War content? A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. Honestly, this is one of my all time favourite games, and I'd love to see you and the boys play it more, maybe even try out some of the fantastic mods this game has.

Bo really threw this battle by not killing the heroes cruiser at the start. ALWAYS target the most valuable ship first. Of course, Braun's mindgames didn't help.

Plot twist for the script for the next episode: Bo builds Death Star three and blows up every planet that isn’t his, so only he can have an economy, then ChoKing makes a come back and wins.

I love watching these gameplays, i wouldnt play this game for my life, but man is it fun to see.
Almost 100 in fleet pop against almost 300 in fleet pop. Winning that without having your fleet wiped out even with the Death Star is near impossible. 5 tier space station and a lotta upgrades (either local or planetgained) however... Hard to tell.
Bo shows how the Death Star is a hammer and everything in the game looks like a nail.

Fun fact: if you want to get rid of the lag that happens when you run EAW, go to process manager and find the nvidia container process. Disabling that makes the game buttery smooth and removes the flickering
