EDIT: A lot of people seem to misunderstand why Choking and I got surprised over Tyber Zann's ability. Choking(The Empire) had full space supremacy over the planet as it was an infiltration, which is why Choking also said it was bad game design.

I love how the Anaxes has absolutely no great strategic importance on the conflict. But the moment Bo kept attacking it over and over again it became almost a matter of honor holding up that planet lmao

lore wise if i remember right Anaxes was the heartland of the separtist movement and historical competed and rose up against the republic and the core world
i should say, the reason why you had orbital bombardment when you didnt have a fleet, is cuz tyber zann is still his capital ship EVEN WHEN HE IS DOING A RAID BATTLE, so sending him in counts as having a capital in orbit for bombardment no matter what
I know, but it's stupid seeing as the Empire had a spacestation in orbit
@@Bokoen1 i thought you might know, but it is pretty stupid, that said, zann is so much fun to play that if they gave the other factions the same treatment of fun and crazy mechanics, it wouldnt feel so bad, its just that they didnt
I know there are mods for this game, surely there is one that mellows out the Consortium orbiffs the other factions.

The bloodiest battle of this game was not Hoth, it was Anaxes! So many dead Volksturm Civilians and T-34 Pulse Cannons dead! All the casualties! What a glorious siege with crazy shenanigans on both sides! Definitely my favorite battle of this GC they're playing!
And that surprise addition of Braun's prison break into the battle of Jabiim was peak hilarity here.

yeah, consortium is only fun to play with if you're the one playing them. Otherwise it begets the same level of anger as family monopoly night
I literally don't understand playing multiplayer with them. It's not even funny broken, it's just fucking retarded and pisses me off that the devs could be so fucking retarded as to release them like that.
Consortium's got some real "expansion pack faction" energy, doesn't it.

...and in space battles... and on the galaxy map... the Consortium is, honestly, just stupidly broken on every level. Even when they're the AI it feels like they're one difficulty level above what you're playing on.
(I will say that sending all of your TIE Fighters into the enemy picket ships that are specifically designed for anti-fighter duty is a bit stupid, though...)

SO fun fact, When you uncloak it will actually run its entire duration before it quickly replenishs, You can wait out this duration, or you can cancel it by just click the cloak button again lol

Bo really should've gotten the Ewok Slavers for their suicide bombers if he wanted more explosions. They spawn them pretty quick as well and you only need to do a corruption on Kashyyk to get them if I remember correctly.

Consortium is definetly well balanced
If you guys are going to keep playing, I would recommend playing with the "Thrawn's Revenge" mod. It adds a TON of really good and really well made content. The game is much more balanced and much more fun but also wildly different. Its on the Steam Workshop Multiplayer is also pretty balanced.
Thrawn's Revenge does not work in multiplayer, except from what I've heard for skirmish battles. They couldn't do a galactic conquest like in the base game
You were able to bombard because Tyber Zann gets a Capital Ship in space battles so its technically in orbit if he's on the planet

Nah Multiplayer campigans are not supported for most mods.
And maybe a balance patch on the Consortium!
They would only really be able to do that in skirmish. That would be cool as well, but I prefer the conquest videos personally

So yeah, Tyber Zann's flagship has the dual Ion/ Turbolaser gun, so if you bring him to a land battle his ship is in orbit.
So cool to see EAW on the channel even if the next is gonna be the last, it’s such a fun game with a crazy modding community

Actually, he did pretty much give up. I watched the full stream and the battles shown in this video were essentially the only ones that took place. Meanwhile Braun beat up the Empire and Bo just kind of sat there. At some point Bo even deleted parts of his fleet rather than using it.

Really hope that the next EAW that I’ve heard about in the rumour mill supports modded multiplayer galactic conquest
I like to be the Rebellion when I play. My fleet strategy of choice is to spam Corellian Gunships and use their concussion missiles to snipe engines of the expensive capital ships then run, killing them. Even if I lose several ships, I can usually rebuild them faster than they can kill them.

can anyone help getting this mod running, me and 2 mates tried running a galactic conquest with it but it never worked even when following all the steps on the workshop page.

If this is vanilla FoC, yeah the Zann Empire is laughably OP in both Land and Space.... and even the Galaxy Map. If they would have been that strong in the actual lore they would have steamrolled the galaxy and than the Vouzhoun Yong...
