- This video shows how to assemble a hinged door to a cabinet using the DrillJig drilling templates for hinges. This tool allows for very quick, yet precise installation - both on assembled and yet unassebled cabinets, and also when retrofitting doors.
The first step is to drill the hinge cup holes into the door using the DrillJig. The cup hole positions then have to be transferred to the cabinet side panel. In this step, it is necessary to regard the overlay of the door on the panels at the upper and lower edge of the door. The drilling template for mounting plates is to be positioned at the mark to drill the System 32 holes. Avoid accidental drilling through the side by using a depth limitation for the drill. After drilling the holes for the mounting plate, you are already set for installing the door.
In this example, the Sensys hinges are mounted on distance D = 1.5 mm mounting plates on 19 mm side panels. Doors have a 3 mm reveal / 16 mm overlay and a distance of the 35 mm cup hole to the edge of C = 5 mm. In case these measurements need to be adjusted to other requirements, the jigs and templates must be set accordingly.

This video, as well as all other videos in the "Production of carcass furniture with professional jigs", were produced in a project by students of the Berufskolleg für Technik in Ahaus, Germany. Script and realization by Peer Beykirch and Marco Jentzsch, editing by Manfred Ameis. Thanks for doing such a great job!
Neat looking jig. Your guy is gripping that Festool C18 all kinds of wrong though, guessing that wasn't his drill.
Thank you for your feedback. We will forward it to our team!
How much does the DrillJig cost, seeing it would compete with the EcoDrill and Easy Bore?
you might want to actually explain what the guy is doing instead of the goofy music.
Where can I find the setting manual?
In this case we kindly ask you to contact our customer service info@hettich.com. Thank you!
