Roll Hunting Pennies - 1909 Lincoln Cent Found

- In this video, I am hunting two penny bank boxes in an attempt to dwindle down the number of unsearched boxes I have and I'm hoping for some fantastic finds. I have actually been sitting on these two boxes for more than a week BUT when I picked them up and checked to see if they were indeed circulated boxes, I noticed we had a Wheat Cent ender in one of the boxes! We ended up finding some nice wheat back pennies, as well as a 1909 Lincoln Cent AND a very old (and cool) foreign coin!
By the way - I do sell my custom Coin Roll Hunting Mats (see below):

What do you prefer to hunt? Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Halves? What's your best score from a box of Pennies? Which of the "Big Banks" do you think gives up the best boxes?
How have your penny hunts been lately? What's your best find in bank wrapped rolls?
Keep hunting and good luck!
They're still out there for us to find!

the best part of this channel is that I don’t have to search through rolls. Just watch Rob do it
The thrill is in the hunt brother...……..
"an odd T H I C C one here"
I Love How Rob Calls Us Brother And We Call Him Brother 😆
We're all brothers here 😂 here for our love of coin hunting
Man I didn't knew coin collecting/hunting was this entertaining and fun. Just the first minute was enough for me to think that this is gonna be exciting and interesting video
Dirty hand is a beauty 🤗🤗🤗
Got to love three wheat cents in a roll. That Austrian coin was really cool! That’s a shame on the holy 1909. Great hunt, thanks for sharing
I remember finding a 1953 Canadian penny in spare change
I found a 1978 canadian quarter earlier today.
I found a 1952 Canadian
Wow you are finding all the oldies. First a 1916 mercury dime now a 1909 penny
Rob im so happy of how much your channel has grown and the more successful you have been with coin hunts
1909 That’s old!! Nice Rob!!
Not bad Rob! You can keep as your new coin pendant! That's what I did with a 1945 with a hole pinched in it
I want that 1894 2 cent from Austria. Beautiful coin
Nice, I found a 1909 vdb 2 weeks ago. Glad you got one too.
does it have an s?
Wow what a shame on that 1909 it breaks my heart to see such a beautiful coin damaged....but great video Rob I always look forward to the next video
@Coal Miner Likely it being holed is why it was in such good condition to begin with
Hi Rob nice 1909
Not terrible boxes! That foreign is awesome! Very cool!
Great seeing cents again, thank you so much for sharing with us!
Cool 1894 coin Rob
Nice to see you posting penny hunts again rob
Very awesome on the 1894 Austria coin.
Watching all these hunts got me to get started on my own hunting, and actually found a 1909 in my first box ever, gotta say it was a pretty awesome feeling. If only it was in as good of shape as this one was.
Nathan Mencke 👍
1909? Whaaat, crazy cool!
Rob
I enjoy your work searching for treasure in these Cent rolls!
Awesome finds with that 1884 Austrian Heller and that 1909 Lincoln. Too bad it has the hole in it. All in all a great penny hunt! Congrats
Funny, I found 4 tonight at my job. The register was nice to me tonight. 1910, 1941 ender in a roll I opened, 1946, & 1956D. Not bad for one night.
Awsome rob love the videos and penny is my fav to hunt
Very nice hunt. Thanks for sharing.
Someone obviously had an interest in that '09 penny at one time! Cool find, Brother! Merry Christmas!
Good afternoon friends. Hopefully this morning you are in good health and all matters will be successful
I am right there with you Rob. I have four boxes of halves, one quarter, two pennies, two nickels, and one dime. Also there are 21 sealed boxes of 2017P pennies. Maybe I will save them for the grandkids...…..lol. I finished a penny box today and only found two 2009,s, one wheat, and the gem of the box, a 1971S. Need to put it under the magnifier to check close. Thanks for sharing.
nice!
I found a 1919 Wheat with the LI error. All that is visible is BERTY Any idea what its value?
Austria strikes again. Such a cool design!
A while back in one of your feeds you said if I sent you a list of my missing “s” pennies you’d see if you had any to fill in the holes. I forgot to do that and just remembered when I started watching you penny search -will do it after Christmas-pretty much if it has an S on it, I don’t have it...dunno why I never find them.
Penny search is my fave! ❤️
Enjoyed!
Love the penny role hunts!
Great hunt wheaties, a foreign 1894, and pennys are just fun to hunt!
for 2020, im gonna try to tally up every wheat cent rob finds
the scronch It would be a long list!!😁😁
@@juliangossard itll be worth it
the scronch It will!!
the scronch you can do it man
And make a vid of you counting
Very cool
That one that looked like a wheatie wasn't. I could see the rectangle shape indicating the memorial building. Also think the obverse doesn't have a high relief, which would make 1969 or newer.
Nice hunting !
Wow a 1909 that is one of the first wheat pennies ever made nice find. the oldest wheat penny I have ever found is a 1917.
I'm glad you are doing pennies again. That's the main reason I subscribed is because I liked all the pennies you did.
1909's a 1909! gotta love it! That Austrian coin is super cool!
Let's get it done rob! Lets go!!!
Love me some odd thick ones!
hole in a coin is like a hole in the heart :(
Just combed through my first box! You've created a wheat fiend; I found 12 wheaties (all different years ranging from 1935 to 1956), along with some really old canadian pennies. Totally hooked!
Rob, you know I love those pennies!!!!
Really nice looking foreign. congrats
This makes me wanna grab a box. My oldest finds were both a 1909 and 1909vdb neither were S mint.
Nice hunt and great finds!
Great hunt..
Cool holy 1909! Happy hunting! 😁
Love your channel Rob.
That 1894 coin is significantly more impressive than the 1909 lol
I used to go to bank and get boxes after boxes as a kid. I might do this again I used to get 20+ wheat pennies a box and they were usually 40s and 50s with some oldies. I have a lot of wheat pennies now.
WooHoo my friend. What a great core bud.
Great Video!!!
Okay, very cool finding a first year Wheatie, BUT....the 1894 Austrian coin, I think, is one of THE coolest things found in a while!!!
Keep on hunting.
Rob2
Great video!
I got 19 wheat cents and 16 Canadians yesterday, same amount of wheat cents. Just thought I’d point that out.
Awesome foreign
Excellent video
Found a 1909 vbd in my change about 6 months ago. Came from walmart.
Let’s get it rob that’s a very nice find 👍
1909....YES!
Congrats on the 1909. The best penny I found in a box is a 1917. Still looking for a IHP in a bank box. I did find a 1886 IHP at work several years ago.
Awesome!!
nice finds
I love coin's I have about 300 wheat Penny's
Dino Nation-ty I have about 400-500
Nice
Thanks Rob for your inspiration. Did my first penny search and nickel search. Found a buffalo and some wheats. Also with the pennies a foreign South Korea 10 Won
Once me and my cousin found an old barn with pennies and im pretty sure i read the date as 1863
You still have it
Hopefully zou kept it cause its a civil war penny.
We just misread it and it was 1963
Found one last week at work. I calmly changed out for another penny. And when I got home. FREAKED OUT
Very coo Rob👍👍👍Booooooooom 💥💥
A 1909 is a 1909! gotta love it no matter what! :)
I love the new introduction
I found a 1934 wheat Cent in a roll it was almost as shiny as a 2019!
I have a penny that’s from 1900 that is almost mint condition
I Have a 1916 that's the same and nice
@@deitrich637 I have an 1899 morgan dollar in MS60 condition
here since 3k subscribers, keep it up Rob
Oldest wheatie I've found is a 1910, plus two IHPs.🔥
1915 for me
1918 here
I have three 1909's. One was from my parents collection that was found in the 1970's. The other two I found in just regular pocket change. I have had those two for the past 10 years now.
Rob had an “oh shit” moment when he found the 1909
I love your videos. Question, what do you do when you get uncirculated boxes of pennies.
Return to bank
Back in 1972 my friend found a 1909S vdb in near uncirculated condition while searching through rolls of pennies he purchased from the bank. He still has it to this day
Nice hunt. BTW, I finally got a RNR (not W but D) but it is in fantastically good condition. So, now I have ALL the 2019 issues (at least)
I've got several Indian Head Cents that i found in Rolled Pennies, Dated from 1886 to 1899
Always great to find 1909's no matter what condition. I have found a few in the last year or so. I found more Indian Heads than 1909's though... years ago I found a 1909 vdb and I still have not found any type of 1909-s in all my years of coin roll hunting...
Same here Herbert. I have never found a 1909 S or 1909 S VDB, but have found 1909's and 1909 VDBs.
Never found those either. But purchased the 1908s, 1909s and 1909s VDB F12 condition FOR $1000. That's why I collect pennies only.
Dude I just found a 1909 Wheat Penny today to. I am going to upload the video tomorrow. That is cool.
I just purchased a whole bunch of Canadian silver quarters and dimes. The only key dates I got were ironically the ones I spent 2 hours looking at because the date was worn completely slick. I got a date for all of them.
7:45 It first looked like a roman coin.🤣
Like like a Lincoln penny to me,
Roman coins are usually bronze
But that bust looks like a bad penny
I have a Rader 1 dollar bill. Can anyone tell me what it's worth
Far-out!! Pennies. The Fuller is definitely cool, pre-ww1. Too bad about the 1909, but still there waa one. That hole is made with hand drill on wood block, it's the only way you get a low pressure hole. If was a drill press it would have been clear cut.
Hey Rob, I’ve been binge watching a good amount of your videos, and I have a few question. So, I’m 14 and looking to get into coin collection. I’m a history nerd and love old odds and ends, so what’s a good way to get started ? I already have a few wheat pennies and a 1939 nickel, but it’s just from looking through a bunch of change my dad had. I’m looking to get into this more heavily and make myself a cool collection, so what are some do’s and don’ts for this hobby? Thanks ! (Other replies are welcome ! )
Oh my gosh. More Austrian coins. Ugh so jealous
Great stream last night rob!! I enjoy the streams alot!!!!
I was wondering if you could tell me what type of microscope you have hooked up to your computer screen? Thanks.
Found a 1909s in a customer roll just no vdb love your show
That's still a key date! Grats!
Nice video, I'm interested in starting this hobby. Can you tell me the specs on the microscope you use to look at the coins on the computer screen?
I have just started watching your channel and am addicted to it. So what do you do with the common pennies? Do you re-wrap them and exchange them back at the bank for more pennies?
Hey Rob, I watch a lot of your videos, just got my Dest top up and running so i will be smacking that like button to give you some love. With this virus money getting here i was able to get me a plugable camera like yours two weeks ago and try getting thing on the computer so i can send you some coin photo that i have to get your opinion to see which one i should send in to get graded by pcgs. being 63 years old, it's hard to figure out how to send them to you. I hit the subscribed and love button all so.
I'm just getting into coins. Could you tell me what is the DDO that you speak of. Great vid.
