- 1909 S VDB Cent Found Coin Roll Hunting
In this video, I'll be hunting a box of Pennies that is all customer wrapped rolls. I got these rolls from a trade with one of my subscribers Jim - after he told me that a couple has been bringing several wrapped coins to the bank and that he has already hunted one and it produced a lot of good finds.
Obviously I was very interested and excited to do this hunt especially after hunting the last 3 customer wrapped penny rolls from our trade:
1st Box Hunt Video: • Collection Dump? Roll...
2nd Box Hunt Video: • Unbelievable Find - Co...
3rd Bix Hunt Video: • Customer Wrapped Rolls...
I am thinking that this is either a collection dump or an attempt to help out with the coin shortage - hence all of the great finds. As always, I'll be hunting for Wheaties, Indian Head Pennies, cool foreign coins, copper and any error or variety cents.
When I hunt pennies I don't just search for Wheaties and Indian Head Pennies. I also am not just a Copper Hoarder either. I look for double dies, error coins, and other variety coins that could be hidden in the rolls. As you know - it's rare to find a super key date for any coin in circulation, so your best bet is to familiarize yourself with the error and variety coins as those are normally not as easily spotted and you can still find some GREAT FINDS out there.
Of course it didn't take any trained eye to spot the 1909 S VDB Cent that was found during this hunt!
Keep hunting and good luck!

What did u tell your wife when u told her u found a almost 1000 dollar coin
Hey rob I just want to take the time to tell you I love your videos. I started coin roll hunting this year and it is amazing. I went to the bank today and scored 6 rolls of half dollars that were completely silver 5 rolls being 1964’s. And 16 ben franklins. I had to tell you lol hope all is well and keep up the great content
neoalucard69 very nice!!! Congrats!
Definitely a great hunt to watch. I enjoy the fact that you're taking the time to show us the highlights. I knew that you would find at least 1 Indian Head Cent in this box. I could feel the possibility of finding Indian Head pennies due to the shear amount of wheat pennies you were finding
Congratulations Rob! Lifetime find! Amazing!
Bill Gates must be wrapping his coin collection and sending it to Jim
I did not expect to find you here. Love your content!
Summoning salt since when do you watch rob?
Never would guess who follows the same people as I
Summoning salt commenting on a RFT video? My life is complete
Wow, I never ever thought I’d ever see you here. You working on that coin roll hunting speedrun world record progression vid lol?
i saw the title and was like "no way" but then i saw it was a jim box and it all made sense
Same!
Beginning to wonder if the customer who wrapped these was named Jim
To many blazers spread out with no scratches at all, so they had to be protected until wrapped up and not in a mix with other coins. It would make more cents if they were all together
Robert Imler I mean if it’s a collection dump and someone died or something i could easily see relatives just dumping the coins protected in coin flips or sleeves into rolls
I totally agree with you it's a bunch of BS it's definitely. Rob is usually shaking all over the place when he finds something spectacular find or a stunner. I know you want to keep the money coming in. I get it view is view is view as viewers add subscribe
Don't buy the hype it's BS it's called views = $$$$$
wonder if he owns stock in a salt mine. rob GLOVES! rob
The 1909 s vdb was not in that terrible shape, it still had some lines in the wheat ears.
I can imagine how you felt when you seen it. I just got my 6 year old grandson started coin rol hunting and he found his first silver war nickle. He couldn't stop talking about it for days
I love every RFT vid, but this whole thing just reeks of a setup. The story on these boxes just doesn't make sense. Like, this viewer is just sending you one of these mysterious "mom and pop" boxes every couple of weeks, seemingly conjuring them out of the air whenever its convenient. And he'd doing so, knowing full well that he already "gave" you a IHP worth several thousand dollars over a month ago? Like, dot dot dot, fill in the blanks. If something is too good to be true, it usually is. It's all nice and good when it's a bank sealed box, but a bunch of handwrapped rolls coming in a used penny box in a flat rate box, I mean come on.
And we're supposed to believe that this is the second 1909S VDB from the same set of bank boxes? What's more likely... two of the rarest Lincoln cents from the same bank or a setup designed to generate more video views? The whole thing smells fishy. Even Rob's reaction to the find doesn't seem authentic compared to what we've seen from him in the past.
MN 45s Now that you mention it, that could be true. Jim could have hooked him up!
Most likely Rob does not know what's in them, but he probably does know that Jim is putting really rare coins in for him to find. Still fun, but perhaps not 100% authentic.
Agreed with every comment here. The odds between this and the IHP from the last vid are astronomical. I don’t think Rob has done anything with the rolls, but this Jim character is up to no good.
You guys need to shut up you guys just hating cuz he better than you
My pulse just went insanely high when I got the notification with the title of this video! Can’t wait to watch, what a find!
Same lol
Yea same.
Dude same
You know I had to click this one right away!! o_o
EDIT: I read the title so fast I didn't even see the VDB part. HAHA. Huge congrats Rob! Unbelievable!
THANK YOU BROTHER!
Why is Jim giving these to you? Crazy!
Yes Rob why is Jim given these boxes to you I know you worked a deal out with him...
1909-S VDB...find of the box??!! More like, find of the year!!! Unbelievable!
Find of a lifetime!
Holy cow Rob! I didn't think there would ever be any 1909-S coins found in rolls, let alone a VDB. Great find
Another fantastic box. Congrats on filling your book especially as its the VDB that filled it.
I don't even know what to think anymore. At first I thought Jim was just stacking the rolls but I don't think anyone in their right mind would give away a vbd s. At the same time no one who knows anything would dump a vdb s and i can't believe some old couple would have now clue they have a literal gold mine. But hey I guess you can't complain either way.
Congrats on the find Rob 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Ima go out on a limb and say the 09 S VDB is a once in a life time find.
After having worked in retail for 20 years, I know how this can happen. Great find, Rob.
Jim needs to spell his name Gem 🎯 So glad I had my bell hit long ago n didn't miss another one of these amazing hunts of finds 🕵 N congrats Rob 👏 👏 n Bigger, TY Gem! 🍀 🍻 🤓
Congrats Rob on the 1909S VDB. Plus all the other great finds, awesome box.
The gods have shined their grace upon you! Rob. What. A. Find?! I’m so happy for you Rob! With a ll the work you put into making content for us. You deserve this win!
Hey Rob. Not sure about others, but you never have to worry about how long your videos are in my opinion. I enjoy every minute of all your hunts! I'm not a coin collector myself but you got me looking at my change now before I do anything with it lol.
Congratulations Rob! I've only ever seen a 1909-S VDB in a coin guide until now! Awesome find brother!
Unbelievable...congrats Rob. These Boxes have been exciting to watch!.
"I've got chills, and they are multiplying"

THE KING OF THE WHEATS HAS ARRIVED!!! 👑
Holy crap! That thing may be worn pretty good, but that is flippin’ amazing! Awesome find!
Congrats, Rob! That is amazing... who cares about the condition... identifiable, that's what counts. Good for you... incredible!
Much love!
I found a 1909 s VDB in a pile of pennies in 1962! I was a kid. The thing is shiny, in AU condition. I still have it. Worth a few grand or so I guess...
Wow. Just wow! Congrats on that find!
1909 S VDB! You truly are the King of coin roll hunting and videos thereof.
When I see the 1909 S VDB, BOOOOM. Then I see an Indian head cent, WOW.

What?!? That's incredible!! I don't think I've seen any coin roll hunter find a 1909-S V.D.B. before until now. That's worth several hundreds of dollars!
Congrats on your great find!
Nooooooo freaking way!!! Definitely G4, to be any higher the top of wheat stocks have to be defined. Blue book value in my opinion $400. Nice grab on IHPs too. Just think, someone got $25 for the box turned into the bank. You got your bucket list filled and gained about $400+...very happy for you Rob!!!
Great finds, wow!

We never got to see the V.D.B. under the scope... 😟
In my excitement I did forget to do that...
@@RobFindsTreasure I figure you may check it to make sure it was a legitimate one.
Rob, FYI, there are 10 varieties of the 1887 IHC, according to Richard Snow, an authority on IHCs. In his Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cent Attribution Guide Volume 3 (1870-1889), he lists all 10 varieties (Snow-1 to Snow-10). Snow-1 is that DDO you mentioned. There's also a first 8/8, 1/1, 88/88, 188 in denticles, 8 in hair,1887 in denticles, a 1/1 with second 8/8, an 18/18, and a 7/7. Lots of date numbers over date numbers or numbers visible in the denticles below the date.
Amazing!
