They always land with their feet apart and it always takes them a second to make sure they're balanced since so much of their weight is above their hips. In comparison the women land like lawn darts with their feet right together.

That’s partly because men and women have different centers of gravity. Men often have lower chests on landings because they carry more weight in their upper bodies.
Of course she did, she was way higher and has more time to perform the movemnt. If you pay attention to the comparison, she starts the jump earlier and lands later.
And the fact is kohei doesn't need to go as high or have as much power because it's not as hard as a vault for him as her. Same reason when people are trying to stick a back tuck they don't give it as much power as a dub dub it's all relative to the goal at hand which is having the cleanest vault which in reality is kohei's

@kharismamessam7177 Mostly due to how harshly these arhletes are judged, every little aspect(the landing, sprint, jump, and swing) is all taken into consideration for scoring. Her score loss was due to her sprint and landing, both of which were by no means perfect(she couldn't fully stick her landing as she built up to much momentum for her to remain stable within such a small time period). She stayed focused and still did better OVERALL even with a broken foot. Which means, if she didn't go through all the emotional distress, and wasn't going through the intense pain, then she would have excelled far greater than she did at the time.
@@frogg523 So you're saying someone whose twisting isn't as artistically or technically pleasing as someone else is suddenly better because of a reason that has nothing to do with the technicalities of the sport?
Thats absolutely dumb. You want to argue that her technique is better, fine, but your argument of "its not as good, but she's better because of external factors" is asinine.
I'm not wasting my time on you anymore.
@@DW11111 Except that’s not what I said, I said she was cleaner overall. But I’m fairly familiar with people who ignore certain parts of another’s argument for their own benefit. She could’ve done a lot better is my point, because those thing’s definitely affect her performance, and that she did better overall. Maybe if you read what I said you wouldn’t be so ignorant.
100% the girl
He looked great but her vault was so clean and beautiful
I mean, Uchimira wasn’t a vault specialist, he was an all arounder so I think it’s a bit of a weird comparison but nevertheless Maroney was a great vaulter
No doubt that mckayla is an amazing vaulter, but comparing a vault specialist's best ever vault with an all around gymnast's random vault is a bit questionable
Wait, whos the best male vaulter?
@@ajr0047Maybe Jake Jarman? Or Arthur Davtyan? Not sure tbh
Yeah, with that vault Uchimura STUCK it. Maroney slid through a California “stick.”
She made it look so easy 🥺♥️ I absolutely vote she did it better. Please do more of these, this was so interesting to see!
Maroney hands down. That landing!
first!! and the girl did it better
Okay, Ian! Come thru with this editing! 👍🏾
Please do more of these! I love the overlay comparisons!❤
the graphic is amazing! loved seeing them compared in mid flight
Her landing was much smoother and she went higher too, overall I think hers was better. And she made it look so easy.
