Joe is a creator and athlete with no racing experience and Alec is a professional racing driver and coach. Their goal is to get Joe certified to race professionally in 1 year.
Taking Joe on a journey from Rookie to Pro.
Why are we doing this???
We are doing this to create a roadmap for YOU. Ever been interested in racing? Don't know where to start? We are here to show you not just how to start, but where to go next. Over the next year we will take you on a step by step journey as Alec coaches Joe through the highs and lows of what it takes to become a racing driver.
Welcome to Episode 1: "Establishing a baseline". In this episode Alec takes Joe out to the Karting track to put him in a competition kart for the first time and see how Joe's times as a rookie stack up. This is what we consider STEP 1 on the journey from no racing experience to your professional racing license. You have to know where you're starting. This gives you something to compare your progress to.

I was there, I will say he’s actually pretty good at defending
Track looks dope, definitely gonna take a visit up there sometime
Also any reason to double up on the back struts on the left side only? unless you did both sides only saw em on the left
Only on the left side, stiffer generally gives more grip in karts, so the struts help increase grip level. Because of the engine location there’s more weight on the right so it can help balance out between left and right.
I have a question outside the section What is the price of that kart?
You can find these karts for somewhere in the $2-5k range used if they’re running, even less sometimes if they need work. New they’re around $7k.
