Irresistible Antique & Vintage Collector Items Buyers Love!

- It's a sellout! How did that happen? We review 20 great true antiques and valuable vintage items, and talk about why they all are headed to new collector owners from our eBay auctions this month.
Is it pricing that sells them? We talk about the strategies of how we price and what things we sell as buy-it-nows (the heavy Griswold pan is nice to ship before everything else), what we price low and let go high (the NY Public School doorknobs are sure sellers!), and when we hold out for top dollar (those Mazer dress clips are definitely the stars of this show!).
Is it about high demand? We run lots of different things, from very sought after (the 1968 Disney poster map is a no brainer, and the 1910s vaseline glass bowl a sure hit) to esoteric items and things that "used to be popular" that we buy right and think have value (yes, we did sell the gold rimmed Rosenthal China fancy gravy boat!). So if it's not just about price and demand, what else could lead to these results?
In the end, it's as much about finding interesting things our collectors don't see all the time, whether inexpensive or costly, high demand or obscure! A pottery bowl from a small Massachusetts maker, a Fulper Wisteria glaze piece from a century ago, even a pair of Mexican silver shakers with an American backstory all find their new homes in this video. Watch along with us, and see what makes our collector buyers' hearts flutter!

Its great knowing you will inspire us to keep broaden ing our knowledge! 😊
Thanks Gerorge great show.
Loved every second
I remember when you purchased a lot of those items. It was to see how well they sold. I had a feeling the NYC school door knob would hit someone’s sentimental heart strings. Thank you again George. ❤
Did I actually find my way? 😁
Yay double feature tonight‼️🌷🐣🐰
Very exciting 😅
George, you could write a book about American Business History; I think it would be a hit!❤
The door knob was great!
Congrats on a great week! I did fall in love with the 1910 CIty of New York school doorknob. I know your Mom is smiling seeing her collections being past on on to collectors.🩷
It has been fun sharing her things with everyone
Hi George, I have enjoyed your videos for a long time and I want to say thanks for all you do! Thanks to your videos, I recently identified some items I have owned for a while - a Martz lamp and some Zane Ware pottery. It’s so exciting to see the items and hear the history during you videos and go… “wait a minute! That looks like something I have!” Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
When I bid, I learned from losing to someone who had a 6 cent bid. I had bet $60.05. They bid $60.06. They won. Now I'll bid the 7 cents.
There are so many wonderful treasures once again. Thank you for sharing your eBay sales.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am learning so much from your expertise.
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Hi again, George. You had great sales! Congrats! I really liked the R S Prussia piece. I liked the shovel and the pipes, in the miniature lot.
By George i have several vintage umbrellas, new ... who knew
I sell a lot of dish ware, some for really good money.
Watched replay. I enjoy seeing what sold on for how much! 💙
Love your vids, George! Ty!❤❤❤
We have Disney World memorabilia from 1974. Wondering how you mailed that Disney map? Did you use a poster type mailer? Roll it? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks! Love your videos and all the information you share!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Here in the Midwest, it's not uncommon to pick up a 60- to 75-piece set for under $10. Eva Zeisel is one of my favorites. Vintage dinnerware far outsells anything else I list on eBay.
During WWII there were a couple of Boeing plants in Chehalis, I think you probably recognize that place. They all had to be able to black out your house. Take care.
Thanks for the great info!
That video left me weak like I ran around the block twice!
😂❤😂❤
Lol I was pleasantly surprised
Wild George. I am so glad that you got some of your stuff bought. It was really beautiful, you hangin. There can't wait to the next one, see ya.😊😊😊😊😊
boy i do need the tips, thank yo
Glad to help where I can!
At my local thrifts, 99 cents for anything at all is a pipe dream. That said, if you can make a buck selling whatever, have at.
Love Sanborns been there many times, like at lease 40 times
I went three times in the week I was there!
I wondered where everyone went.
😂😂
Hi George! Safe travels to the west. I can't wait to see you back in Michigan in May! I don't comment much and I cant keep up with the fast paced chats, but I want you to know that I am always here watching and trying to absorb the interesting knowledge that you share. ❤
I so appreciate that! I don’t always get to reply to every comment but i want you to know that you being out there and interested and supportive means a lot
Good Stuff!
I have a placemat with the original park
Hi George, Becky from Ky
Hi George question: How do you decide auction or buy it now? Any more success in either?
I don't think that's a crepe pan, I think it's an English muffin pan. I suppose you could make teeny tiny crepes but.....why? Maybe for blini's? Crepes are at least 8" and true filled ones are 12-14".
In Sweden they are very common and used for ”plättar” (small and thin pancakes/ crêpes)
❤❤
"prince Albert" ..... Lol reminds me of the old joke ...... "Do you have prince Albert in a can??!!?? Lol classic
Haaaaaa Remember "Is your refridgerator running?"
Its yellow submarine color
Ih e eaten at Sandborns
❤😂🎉❤😮😊
