Seriously, you need proper PPE for that. A welding jacket and gloves, in addition to the helmet you’ve got, is essential to safe handling of welding sparklers. Also, be sure that there aren’t any firecrackers nearby; as if they get lit off they can startle you; resulting in a bad weld that you’d have to grind out and re-do. Be careful with your bottles, too... you don’t want them unexpectedly turning into rockets. 😉
