In a lot of ways, Dropout exists to find ways for Sam Reich to give his friends stuff, & I love that.
He is the perfect American
@@jo_winston 2nd that
@@jo_winston Except when he talks about all the shitlibs on his MANY shows on Dropout America.
And deduct it as business expenses, lol
And I love watching them all have fun haha!
This so specifically works because this cast knows what makes each other laugh and have great reactions, and that’s because Dropout actually believes in investing in talent for the long term 👏
I've been watching Game Changer lately, and the chemistry between these people is just magical. There was this one episode where Grant O'Brien had to step away for a moment, and he was like "No roasting me while I'm gone." While he was gone, the other contestants immediately started rattling off a list of all the things they like and admire about Grant, just really genuine compliments about what a great guy he is. Of course, the second he came back they were like "...and he has a weird face, and he's too tall." (Well, something like that anyway I don't remember the exact words)
I’m happy if other ppl are loving Dropout. It doesn’t feel as good as the bread and butter solid sketch writing of College Hunor during the Jake-Amir-Patrick-Dan-Streeter-Jeff days or the Owen-Patrick-Adam-Murphy-Emily days. You can enjoy each others company and make ambitious products
You know that dropout is successful when they drop a show where they spend 5k every episode
And that's not including any of the production costs like paying the crew
@@katmiaou yes but you have to concider that most big streaming services and production companies drop larger amounts of money for big serialised stories and epic dramas, not funny game shows. And of course Dropout had no particular big funding behind it either. It's just a nice way to see how far they've come is all :)
@@drredduckted5359 just that alone is alot more then 5 k tbh
That's also separate from what each cast member gets paid for appearing in the episode.
Oh I can guarantee you they spend a lot more per episode... of anything. But you are right - it's great to see how much they spend to give their cast just a good time in general, while giving us all the warm fuzzies and comedy we crave from our subscription.
(EDIT: Though I do have to add, I love the cheeky "torture" of their cast in GameChanger as well. It's all done in good fun and with consent (spicy level).)
Ah so now i see why the game changer prizes have been smaller
keeping your sanity is a prize all its own
The only winner in game changer is Sam 😂
Sam mentioned in one of the BTS that he finds hilarious that players go through such an ordeal for a mundane prize. I agree 😂
watched this in the library. RIP to the person who walked past me and saw lapdancing knights.
It's just some innocent Lapdance Action Roleplay.
@@IceMetalPunk I liked your comment, but I am shaking my head in disapproval.
@@IceMetalPunk lusting after raunchy paladins
@@kjh1678 As someone who's currently playing a paladin, I approve this message.
This feels like the anti-Dirty Laundry

Feels more like anti-Total Forgiveness to me
I love shows where you just get to watch people enjoy being happy. Seeing someone happy is one of the best things ever. I'm excited for this one.
I like to think that my year or so worth of dropout membership money chipped in to make even one of these episodes happen, and I've never been prouder.
That is such a beautiful thought, glad I could contribute as well and can’t wait for this show!!!
Sam: If only there was a way to make money on team building exercises.
Cast: We can do that.
Ohh this might be one of the strongest casts Dropout has ever brought together for a show, and the rotating host as well? Can't wait to see it!
Cast? It seems like every episode is a completely diferent cast.
@@voorp oh yeah by cast I just meant all of the talent involved in the whole show lol
I'm a simple man. I see Becca, I get hype and click.
I once heard Sam Reich on a podcast say that a great deal of the appeal of Dropout is the sense of friendship. That watching these people feels like hanging out with friends. That part of what Dropout is selling is a vibe, a feeling of comraderie and enjoying seeing people who enjoy eachother's company interact.
So I fully believe, if this show wasn't his idea to begin with, that he definitely said "You're a f**king genius!" to whoever brought it to him. 😂
"Hey Sam, I was thinking of a show where we all just buy each other stuff and then play with it like the children we all are at heart."
"Greenlit! But only if I get to be on it so I can buy things for somebody!"
THIS!! I love the dynamics of all of the cast members and it only becomes more fun when you watch other shows and see the same folks + see them make reappearances in the show, because it truly DOES feel like it's a fun friend group and they're all having a great time :)
sam spent his $1k on goth makeovers!??! this is a man who knows his audience i’ve never been more excited for a show
I'm not even goth and I screamed.
I mean, for 5 people, that's a tight $200pp for the full tradgoth getup including makeup? It's pricey but not a bad deal
Oh my god. Suddenly, something that Katie Marovitch did makes total sense.
Which thing
I don't remember what her search history was
Explain yourself
is it the billboard
Explain yourself
I love what this represents, in that you don’t need to be loaded to have the time of your life. A lot of game shows and reality TV have an emphasis on wealth, which is really unhealthy for those in the real world. This is refreshing.
I kind of got the opposite: you do kind of need to be loaded to drop $1000 on anything, which is why these people aren't doing these things on their own, they're doing it in the context of using the production budget of a game show
I feel like these two points balance each other perfectly.
@@Wack.d I get what you’re saying, but plenty of normal people save up to go to Disney World and that’s more than a $1000. I just find this concept fun because it’s more attainable than some other things while still being quirky and fun.
Dropout is probably actually the best streaming service at this point
The first idea that came to my head was "giant party sub". I don't know how to stretch that into a $1K idea, but
Gourmet ingredients like fancy Italian meats and cheeses, hire a local baker to bake the bread, rent a pizza oven for toasting, high quality drinks to go with and hire an opera singer to serenade you all in Italian as you eat off a big table with white and red checkered tablecloth
Isn't a $1k Giant Party Sub just Grant O'Brien?
Fun people having a fun time. Im already sold.
so this is basically "we gave some great people some money to spend on fun and silly things with friends" the show--which means we get to watch great people have fun w fun and silly things and events w their friends.
and also therefore get some cool ideas for parties and games to play, ourselves, w our own friends.
this is just a show abt happy ridiculous friend times and i'm here for it ☺
Dropout always knows how best to spend their money.
More or less than a thousand at least
I think what's most adorable about this is that none of these guys are famous celebrities, they're all smaller comedians. $1000 is very likely so much to each of these people and saying "this is for genuine fun, do whatever you would like with it!" is probably such an awesome rush of serotonin. Especially since you get to spend it on the people you care about.
Keep spending our money on unbridled joy, Dropout.
all these new shows seem like absolute wins. I may actually have to get a dropout subscription.
Totally worth it.

0:40 Josh Starkid-Smosh! Great to see you!
the more time passes the closer we get to a dropout-starkid-smosh convergence!
How fun that Patrick who also used to work for Smosh invited him.
@@mel-burnes Does the recent Tin Can Bros debate count? (I haven’t watched yet, I genuinely don’t know :P)
@@arjc5714 haven't seen it myself but it probably does! and if it doesn't, it's certainly a step!!!
In an era where CZcams channels and production companies are constantly letting us down, Dropout CONTINUES to produce the most amazing content. My subscription is well deserved, well earned, and well spent.
This is so sweet! Just a show designed to give everyone some love through the means of money and just shared life experiences, I’m hyped to see who all comes on!
Sam was not joking when he said everyone is getting a show.
If you ever wondered where your Dropout money went, now you know. 😎
much happier to support this than bezos' tenth yacht or whatever! cant wait for the show
@@steviegallagher1801 Haha, same!
This is exactly why I give them 60 bucks every year
I saw wrestling signs and I'm so excited to see a $1000 wrestling performance
The wrestler they got is Pretty Peter Avalon who wrestles for AEW. He’s really funny and a good wrestler. As a wrestling and dropout fan, I can’t wait
Dropout answers the question
" How many variety shows can you put on a network if you don't call them variety shows?" ❤❤❤
Good God I love Dropout, I'm so happy to be alive and here to witness all this incredible content! From the early days of College Humor to the future of Dropout I have been and will always be Here the Whole Time. ❤️❤️❤️
Dropout had been killing it. VIP is great, the first episode of Smartypants is amazing, Dimension 20: Junior Year is great, and I’m really excited for this!
The more shows Dropout makes, the more that they seem like thinly veiled excuses for the staff to just hangout in while in front of the camera. And the thing is, I'd watch them all.
The Dropout lineup of shows is pure serotonin.
Absolutely loving these new series that are less gameshows and more funny friends having a shit ton of fun together. This is what I live for.
Dropout is literally the best streaming service out there
I cannot WAIT for this. Smarty-pants and Thousandaires are great additions to the lineup.
This is wild, and isn't that the dream? Just having $1000 to spend on friends?
From "Wait, what?" To "OH YEAH" at about mach 10.
Cant wait!!
This sparks joy.
Content quality on Dropout is Top Tier.
They out here throwing around ten of hundreds of dollars on this! Cannot wait! ❤❤
0:40, is that Smosh editor, Josh Fleury, and also part of the production of Star Kid?
maybe...

@@JoshFleury How did I miss Patrick the first time.

And televise it?!?!?!??!
this is the cutest concept ever
A lot of these new shows are for longtime users who just love seeing the cast enjoy themselves. Its great
This looks wonderful. It's fun content and a cool way to have friends celebrate each other with random and wild things
Dropout can be summarised as Nerdy, Wholesome Comedy and I've never once regretted getting a subscription. I love the idea of this SO much!
Did I just see Patrick and Josh from smosh in this trailer. Thats wild!
This just feels so… loving? Like legit the premise is “here’s some money, go treat your friends to something magical “. ❤ 😭 ❤
I'm more excited for the people chosen for this more than anything. It's like an all-star of favorite dropout members.
Someone just give Sam Reich the rights to Taskmaster already so Dropout can produce a good US version!
Who would be Sam's Alex?
@@shannongalvin4155 they need someone who can do the ‘deadpan, subtle, straight man enforcer’ energy really well so low-key I think Siobhan would crush it. (But I would also love to see her as a player considering how competitive she gets)
Other picks would be Brian David Gilbert, Alex Song-Xia or Zac Oyama.
EDIT: OH actually just thought of another. Katie Marovitch! She’d be perfect for it!
@@CalumanderTube ‘deadpan, subtle, straight man enforcer’ screams Zach or Trapp to me. Still a great idea for a show!
Sam really leaning into "Daddy"
Sugar Daddy?!
Dropout gave me everything I could want. Then they hit me with Smartypants Society which is my new favorite show. And now you hit me with a preview for this, which might be my new new favorite show. Damn you dropout!
Subscribe so that they can do a millionaire version of this
Dropout keeps coming up with really cool new shows, insane stuff
Thank you, Samuel Dalton Reich, for indulging your friends and your viewers who love to see the cast being indulged!
