Thanks for your review and overview! I just played TNA for the first time this week and it's such a breath of fresh air! I love pop bumpers but this only has ONE. I love ramps and it has NONE. I'm in a shop surrounded by all the rock-themed pins, this has electro/dance and it's LOUD and GOOD! It's all good. For the love of god, the beat drops when you plunge!! (Thanks for explaining that the designer is a DJ, that makes sense) Then there's retro-futuristic look and vibe, the simplicity and functionality of the layout, the fact that that simplicity and functionality is reflected in the not-overdone / on-theme LCD display, the ball save timeout, the inline drop target locks, and an upper playfield lined with slingshots!?! This thing is awesome. I played the new Deadpool on the same day and don't even remember it.
P. Muis we’ve had many requests for this and we agree and love the idea, but this would be very difficult due to time and setup. We could do it, but our ability to get out videos every week would then be more difficult.
Great review guys! This will be my first new pin and I can’t wait to pick up within what should be a few weeks! I can’t wait to hear what this sound system sounds like in house as opposed to at the loud PBL release or a bar....it will probably shake the place! Perfect views on this game IMO, it’s not the best game ever but it’s a ton of fun and a great retro piece especially for huge fans of the 80s like I am.
i seen scotts wife actually say it was her on a deadflip stream at scotts house and he said it was her. she even repeated the lines in the game its her. why would they lie about that?
Love you guys. The only thing I can add is the main character's name is Scarlett and the bad/military guys are called Armics. Song #9 on the soundtrack is titled "The Armics" after these characters. TNA all the way, whatever your preference.
I really like TNA. I think it's an amazing multiplayer game! I dont know if it would be a good game to have as an only game, but if you have multiple games it will fit in great!
I appreciate what Greg is saying on price, but if it actually comes down to the nuts and bolts of what you'd remove to have a lower cost I don't think anything comes out! The Spooky build quality is so nice, are you really going to give up the amazing sound or the real back glass? I honestly think that if Stern was offering some of these higher quality build options at a reasonable price we'd all be for it, but they cut them to save cost without dropping the price!
OnTheSnap1 yeah backhand is fine, but we feel like a scoop shouldn’t be problematic with a forehand. But you’re right, backhand is definitely the way to go on that scoop
I have a love/hate relationship with TNA. Great fast game, amazing rules, killer soundtrack, and brutal! Only reason I hate it is because I always leave the multiball open in competition and all my work is stolen. But its a good kind of hate that makes for a really good tournament choice. For such a linear game, you really need a good strategy and even better execution. As always, great video guys!
Deep breath.... Good job guys and great quick run through on the rules Zach. I agree with the scoop. Unfortunately it plagues a lot of games. I love Dialed In, but it suffers from the same thing, especially with the factory cliffy style protector. Standups/Drop targets. Sorry Zach, but I disagree and have to side with your cohort. Standups keep speed going, drop targets slow things down. Usually I prefer them but it depends on the game and the situation. This contributes to the feeling of chaos and speed and drops would slow it down too much in my opinion. Take Elektras lower play-field, which this pin feels like a tribute to at times, and imagine it with drop targets. The whole point imo IS that chaos. I'm not a Spooky fanboy at all, but the gameplay of this pin IS early solid states on steroids, HGH, Flintstones vitamins and 8 cups of coffee. People's love of this game, or lackthereof will closely tie with ones love of early SS. Simple, brutal, classic shots, speed (when classics are setup right). I love it. Absolutely and completely. I wouldn't want it as my only pin, but as part of a moderate collection, it is money. -Jason F. in STL (I miss my whirlwind)
Mark Matson I think it can be for sure! I think any of our categories can ruin a pin. Iv had pins leave because of the art or theme a few times! (Greg)
Joshua Burton hell yes I’ll most certainly pick your brain at times! I just had a clutch problem last week. Think it just needed adjusted and the gap closed a bit!
Greg and his sidekick are very entertaining with their commentary...Until....someone described an orbit shot as "magical". :( People usually use that word to describe something they don't understand or cannot explain. I would rather hear "Miraculous" because then, at least it would make me laugh. "That orbit shot is miraculous!....lol". Great job on the show everyone. Looking forward to more in the future. :)
Art: B+ -- good looking sides, great back, nice color gradation Shots & Layout: C+ -- a disappointing game, with too little to do Rules/Code: C -- way too limited...and linear Toys & Innovation: C (C- for toys, C+ for innovation) Music & Call Outs: A (I'll take your word for it) Display & Anim: B -- it is not the devil worship of Iron Maiden, the LCD is at least readable, and I like the animated color changing across the whole playfield Theme: C+ -- limited playfield, limited code, almost no characters on the playfield Enjoyability: C+ -- I don't see any flow, upper area is basically dead or wasted space Overall Grade: B-
New camera looks great! Thanks for another awesome show.
Joel Reeves thank you. Hoping to improve a bit more once we learn the settings.....hopefully we can learn the settings ha ha
(Greg)
Another great review. I’d love to have a TNA at my arcade. Not sure if I want it at home. Seems best enjoyed with friends
For an old school style pin I think it looks cool as hell man
Just played this machine and wanted to see what you guys said about it. Love it. Will be my first cabinet
Can't wait to see your guys review and or reaction to The Mafia pin if you ever get a chance, lol.
Axis we would love to review it

Jason Dole thanks for the comment. Good overview
Great vid guys. I think it would be great if you finish the reviews with a Greg vs Zack game on the game you review
P. Muis we’ve had many requests for this and we agree and love the idea, but this would be very difficult due to time and setup. We could do it, but our ability to get out videos every week would then be more difficult.
I love the colors on this machine
Great review guys! This will be my first new pin and I can’t wait to pick up within what should be a few weeks! Andrew Hartman couldn’t have said it better. Thanks for the comment and let us know how you enjoy it
Lol @ that this or that video with Ketchup vs Mustard in the end 🤣
thats scott denesi's wife on the back glass she posed for it and the artist done his thing. it looks just like her. she is also the voice in the game.
The voice is from Google.
i seen scotts wife actually say it was her on a deadflip stream at scotts house and he said it was her. she even repeated the lines in the game its her. why would they lie about that?
another great video guy!
kirby695 you’re the best kIrby!
Possibly my favorite SDTM clip of all time 44:15
I just played this yesterday for my birthday. It's so simple but difficult. I enjoyed it
Love you guys. The only thing I can add is the main character's name is Scarlett and the bad/military guys are called Armics. Song #9 on the soundtrack is titled "The Armics" after these characters. TNA all the way, whatever your preference.
down dog studios thanks man! I didn’t know she had a name! (Greg)
I really like TNA. I think it's an amazing multiplayer game! I dont know if it would be a good game to have as an only game, but if you have multiple games it will fit in great!
turbografx7 I agree (Greg)
Is it just me or is the music for Marco at the beginning the same as the Deadpool Pin?
Tom Watson I don’t think so but that would be funny
So I know I'm way behind on watching this video but watching this now I know where covid started thanks guys
22:20 TNA is all about speed. Hot, nasty, badass speed. -Eleanor Roosevelt
The reactor core in my opinion IS a GIANT interactive toy (with purpose).
DSNadine I completely agree! (Greg)

rask4p you know I think I can agree with that (Greg)
i would like to see you guys review ghost busters again i would like to see how you score it now that your opinions about the game have changed
Joshua Burton honestly I wouldn’t rate it any different. I don’t necessarily want to own it again ha ha but I still think it’s a great pin (Greg)
On my TNA I backhand the scoop near 90% reliability. Are you backhanding it?
OnTheSnap1 yeah backhand is fine, but we feel like a scoop shouldn’t be problematic with a forehand. But you’re right, backhand is definitely the way to go on that scoop

Jason Fowler fantastic analysis. Thanks for the comment, just wish you weren’t wrong on the stand up targets (Zach)
It was never cool to have a mullet.
Nice review guys. I need to play it again. It handed me my ass hard and left a bad taste in my mouth the only time I was able to try it.
Indecent Proposal for pinheads...TNA for TNA
Headed to Chicago Gaming to play the Monster Bash Remake! Have a pintastic day guys!
Travis Lancaster let us know your thoughts
@@SDTM It was a blast and a beautiful game.. got to monster bash mode 3 times the hour i was there ..great shooting pin
greg has no grey beard hairs in this vid! Must have been early?!
Playfield is too open for me, not enough to shoot at
The only problem I have with TNA is that the game ends after you reach a certain level.
Eric Miller haha I don’t think that will ever be a problem for me
Art is as important as game play. Period.
Mark Matson I think it can be for sure! I think any of our categories can ruin a pin. Iv had pins leave because of the art or theme a few times! (Greg)
I agree with Zach on standing targets.
supersnappahead good call. Who else is with me?
Not me. You both are crazy! (Greg)
Haha. Drops are a thing of beauty. They bring joy to your life.
greg i am a mechanic for a lawn mowing company. if you ever need help, i just rebuilt a 23 hp kawasaki on a scag 52 ride on
Joshua Burton hell yes I’ll most certainly pick your brain at times! I just had a clutch problem last week. Think it just needed adjusted and the gap closed a bit!
yea those have to be set pretty close

A game review with no gameplay footage… why?
Art: B+ -- good looking sides, great back, nice color gradation
Shots & Layout: C+ -- a disappointing game, with too little to do
Rules/Code: C -- way too limited...and linear
Toys & Innovation: C (C- for toys, C+ for innovation)
Music & Call Outs: A (I'll take your word for it)
Display & Anim: B -- it is not the devil worship of Iron Maiden, the LCD is at least readable, and I like the animated color changing across the whole playfield
Theme: C+ -- limited playfield, limited code, almost no characters on the playfield
Enjoyability: C+ -- I don't see any flow, upper area is basically dead or wasted space
Overall Grade: B-
