Heck, I just played this at Cal Extreme & it was loads better than John Wick and Godzilla. I want this game, but it’s too damn expensive.

A personal wish is to have more original IP. It feels like everything is licensed content these days; we're not getting anything like Fish Tales or Whitewater anymore, and that's a shame. There's plenty of space for both in the pinball world, so hopefully this type of game will make a comeback some day.

As a gen Z pinball player, I can’t think of a single friend of mine who WOULDNT give Pokemon a shot. Dunno how viable it is because it’s Nintendo, but I got really excited hearing that. I bet you could make it a really sophisticated game too, if you consider stuff like unique Pokemon, different items, Pokemon types, etc. Also really happy to see a non-rock musical machine on this list! Every rock band that currently has a machine deserves it, but I feel like that genre’s getting a little overused. Other ideas I have: Five Nights at Freddy’s (I know people who would kill to make this happen), Speed Racer, Titanic, Formula 1/Drive to Survive, maybe Barbie (would be a unique IP to pinball but maybe this doesn’t have as much appeal as Taylor Swift), and maybe My Chemical Romance (give it ten years and that’s gonna be the perfect pinball rock band). Putting all the things player s want in one game? If they did and made the perfect game then why would you buy or use any other game? Marketing suicide.

I might have a bought a faulty machine (new JP premium). Sometimes someone just gets a shitload of point for no apparent reason. A friend of mine managed to get 1 Billion points within like a minute. My highscore stands at over 3 Billion without having any substantial progress in the story line. Yesterday someone created a new account on stern IC and they got the gold tower award (50 tower shots lifetime) within the first game. And I also notice that red skill shots sometimes unlit for no reason at all. I suspect that a loose contact is triggering the machine to think the raptor tower is hit. Any other ideas? Edit: Now I know for sure. The optical sensor wasn't installed straight. However, when I reinstalled it, it seemed to work okay from the diagnostic menu. But sadly the game still registers tower shots when none are made.

Addams family is surely overrated. Sure, it is kind of fun, but that's all about it. It is too brutal, no ball save, no kickback the magnet can easily send your ball down the drain, so can the thing's flipper.. People keep raving about it because it is the best selling pinball machine at all time. I think what made it bestseller probably because it was the first machine that has modes. It was innovative back then, but many games with modes surpassed it since then.

You guys are too young to have experienced a 1970s era pinball hall. King Kool,Toledo,Abra Ca Dabra, and others. I think your top ten are great machines but some of my best times were on the old school tables. I think a best machine of the decade would be cool as well.

Dude I just have to say...I keep showing folks this video as THE way pinball should be filmed and the b/w instruction parts are another great idea. Also I love the video cut-ins from the dmd that you use only when it makes sense..... great job sir. Can we please have some more sir?😢

I would call this the "modern classics", complete overlook of addam's family, high speed, pinbot, bride of pinbot, termnator, I mean these guys look 30, and most of the classic pinball went extinct before these guys were out of diapers

You should consider doing an update to this review, as Pinside reviewers have claimed the code changes were the most comprehensive of any pin ever done, and have made an already very good pin into an incredible pin. SDTMs biggest knock was the code, and now from those Pinside reviews, the code is incredible. TBL license expires at the end of 2024, so giving DP the review the update now deserves would help a startup move some pins before it is discontinued. Everyone agrees that the quality is superb, producing such a strong initial offering, and supporting DP into the future is good for the industry.

agree with earlier posts….this top 10 list has at least 3 machines that have already had pinballs made! Thought it was supposed to be IPs that have never yet had a dedicated pin……using the same criteria we could go for another Rolling Stones machine (band still going after 60+ years) and the Venn diagram overlaps big time. Very surprised not to see Dune not make the top 10….hit movie that will soon be a trilogy and a true sci-fi classic!

Something that would GUARANTEE the eastern world would get on board with pinball is K-POP. Imagine a table that has unique, never-before-seen videos of Korean idols. The queues would go around the block! Just like Taylor Swift, it's not my thing, but the popularity is too high to not make a table.

I feel like I've got a collection of the greatest themes ever to exist only in man's imagination. I wish I had the money, time, space, knowledge and patience to make one of them.
