I love the Molly Madison series by Peggy Rothschild. That series features dogs and I love a cozy that has a dog in it! I'm currently reading Sniffing Out Murder by Kallie E. Benjamin and really enjoying it! Hoping to finish it by this weekend.
I haven’t heard of that series but it sounds amazing!
I got several tbr books for my futures months and I enjoyed your video
❤📚 Cleo Coyle series coffee cafes & book store cozies some of my favorite & yes love Christmas theme mysteries🎄
The Family Skeleton is so fantastic. I read the series last Fall on your recommendation and you were totally right. I plan on re-reading the series this Fall too. Thanks for sharing! I've been recommending the series as well. Two series that I would recommend for beginners are Seaside Cafe series by Bree Baker and Noodle Shop series by Vivien Chien. These are two cozy mysteries series I couldn't put down. I re-read Seaside Cafe series last month and I enjoyed it just as much the second time.
I freaking LOVE the Seaside Cafe series!
I just read the skeleton in the family…. I am very picky on cozies as i feel like they’re often too cutesy and the mystery is a bit weak, which is why I was just blown away at how much I liked this one. What a bizarre concept and yet I was happily along for the ride the whole way, very easy and satisfying read! I would never have picked this one up on my own, but so glad I gave it a try! Great recommendation!
I just got If Walls Could Talk by Juliet Blackwell it’s cute!!!
Nice picks! I also recommend for beginners the Noodle Shop series by Vivien Chien. I only read the first book but I loved it! And soon afterwards I bought the next two books in the series.
Sooooo good!!
A Noodle Shop Mystery Series is a must read for beginners!
Yas!
Love this!! Earrings to cute!!!
Eeeeek! Thank you
My first cozy series is an old one, The Death on Demand series by Carolyn Hart. I love bookshops and the setting is an island off the South Carolina coast. There are 26 books in the series. I know some people binge read and finish the books all at onece but I like to skip around and read different series. I'm 2 books away from finishing this series and I'm going to be sad that it has ended and I'm going to miss my frineds Annie & Max from Broward's Rock. Another thing is Annie is always mentioning mystery titles in the books andit's interesting to look those up to see what they are about. I did just read A Skeleton in the Family last month thanks to you and I really enjoyed it. May I suggest if you have a particular hobby or interest that you look for a cozy that features that interest. So book shops, libraries, tea rooms, bakeries, basically anything about food is interesting to me. I just found a series where the protagonist is a genealogist by S.C. Perkins and I really enjoyed that one a lot. The Noodle shop mysteries by Vivien Chien is also a lot of fun.
I love it when I get more tbr books from the books I’m reading! It’s the best!!
I think Apple Cider Slaying is perfect for a beginner cozy mystery reader!
Awesome suggestions! I'm really into Camille Cabrera right now. She just released a new Christmas-focused cozy mystery book and I read it in one sitting!
I love it when that happens!!!
Such great recommendations. A few I need to check out.
My recommendations
- And There Were Crunbs by Eve Calder. Book 1 in the cookie house mystery
- The Daydreamer Detective by Steph Gennaro. Book 1 in the Miso Cozy Mystery series.
For those who like a bit more edge or is okay with slightly heavier topics
To Kill a Mocking Girl by Harper Kincaid. Book 1 in the bookbinding series.
What are some other good Christmas cozies that are first in a series? I would love recommendations for Christmas in July 😊
