    Hi! I have a set of BCs installed on my 46 wagon and im pretty sure that i have around 5 degrees of cambers around the car, im wondering if you think that a pair of SLR camberplates will be enough to get around 10 degrees at the front? And if i should get maybe wider wheels first or buy wheels after suspenion is finished? Ive gotten different answers from different people but havent really reached out to any 46 owners since everyone seems to do them their own way 😅

  • @romellofrib
    @romellofrib Před 3 lety +1

    Thank u for this. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to match my rear camber. I'm at - 14 in the rear. I'm aware of SLR plates, but hesitant cutting into the strut tower like you mentioned, and I'm also not sure if I'll have that much clearance with my air bags with the way SLR swings closer to the tower wall. Do u know if the bags will clear with the SLR at full negative camber?
    I'd like to do the extended e36 arms as in your vid. Would u happen to know if extended arms and regular camber plates will do the trick? 😀

    • @cufstatic3640
      @cufstatic3640  Před 3 lety

      I'm not sure about the clearance with the bags but with the extended arms, you can have them extended to any length you want!

      I just brought the OEM bolt to lowes/home depot and was able to find a longer one there. Make sure you stick to grade 8 or higher when replacing any automotive hardware, unless it is something that is not put under any stress.

    • @cufstatic3640
      @cufstatic3640  Před 2 lety

      The shape of the rear part of the control arm where it meets the bushing is different on e36 arms vs. e46 control arms so you need to buy the bushing that converts it.

    • @cufstatic3640
      @cufstatic3640  Před 2 lety

      Not bad at all! Obviously the suspension is a little stiff but as long as you don't cheap out on coilovers and such they can ride extremely comfortably. Alignments also are crucial as well.

  • @aidandaubert
    @aidandaubert Před 3 lety

    • @cufstatic3640
      @cufstatic3640  Před 3 lety +1

      2" is just what I had mine extended, you can have them extended any length you want depending on how much camber you're looking for. Just take into account that E36 control arms are about an inch shorter than oem E46 control arms so if you are having them extended for your E46 you need at least 1" to even make them the same length as oem arms
