    God Damnit I really thought she wouldn't mention "that was she said" when she was talking about how stiff the mounts are! xD

    Great tutorial, I think everybody is proud to see a girl doing mechanical work like you do, keep the good work 👌. By the way I couldn't find anywhere how to replace a mitsubishi lancer 2008 2.0 engine mounts 😅.

    good job on the install. I put these hangers on my speed3, and it was a pain. I didn't cut the old hangers in case I wanted to reuse them.

    I could see someone easily slicing their finger open trying to cut a hanger off. much easier method is to pull down the exhaust and spray some wd-40 in the hanger and it wil slide right off.

    .I like the video. You could put a little dish detergent to make the rubber slip over the hanger, which also works great for radiator hoses, where you don't want them greasy.

    If I were a woman, I think I might find it insulting when people write things like "It's cool to see a girl working on cars." Actually that might be two insults in one. First of all, it implies that the majority of women are incapable of working on cars.
    Second, and I'm not 100% sure about this one, but I think some adult women may find it insulting to be referred to as a "girl". I think that depends on the woman's age as to whether or not it's a little offensive.
    I am an adult male and I would prefer not to be referred to as a boy. But honestly, I don't really care because I don't offend easily but it seems like some people do.
    Great job on the video. I am not going to lie, most of the time I cut off exhaust hangers as well, if I have ones to replace them with. The only reason I may have "extra" ones though is because a few times, I didn't cut them off and so I saved them for future use. Thanks for posting.

    Do not use a petroleum based lube, which deteriorates rubber. Use silicone based lubes. A rubber compatable anti-seize will work also.

  • @harrypalmer7169
    @harrypalmer7169 Před 5 lety +2

    Always lube before sticking the pointy bit into the hole, it slides in and out of the stiff mount so much easier.

    I haaaaaaaaaate replacing hangers haha, such a simple job but such a pain in the arse to do. A bit of silicone spray or silicone grease is best when rubber is involved, you probably already knew and like me just use what ya got! Great vid and thanks for not editing out how frustrating it gets replacing hangers with no hoist available :)

    Or you could have a 3" downpipe, a 3" midpipe from Ultimate Racing, then a custom Magnaflow 14419 placed before the axle and custom 3" piping over the control-arm and out the left-exit (driver's side) only. Single-exit tuned look FTW! Lighter, less complicated, sounds better than any other system I've ever heard, and solid metal hangers were welded between my piping and frame. It's so strong that I can literally stand on my exhaust tip and it doesn't move at all.
