She's the water that freezes inside the rock and splits it apart. It is no more her fault than the fault of the water
Very nice.
Damn. That's beautiful.
This is my favorite film of all time. I'm about to watch this in an hour or so and get drunk. Wrecked.
Watching this whilst drinking about my tenth rye and ginger....Cheers, Mate!🥃
💙💙💙
here here!
Over 25 years later this movie still touches a new generation. Beautiful reaction girls!!
"Tristain was the rock everyone broke themselves against" one of my favorite quotes. Top 3 movie in my opinion. Great reaction.
The actor who played Samuel (the youngest brother) played the kid in "ET".
Also, Haunting of Hill House and a few other shows by the same director. It's really good if you've never seen it
Seen this least 10 times and never knew that. But I can picture him in et now
WELL DAMN! Now I see it.
I had never heard such a detailed and relevant analysis of the behavior of the characters in this film. You are impressive ladies.
We appreciate you ❤️
3:28 "why does she have a crush on Tristan? -Ryl
cause he looks like Brad Pitt.
Isabella II as a child chasing after Tristan as he rode off on his healing journey, then stopping to watch him until he was out of sight, was a great scene for me.
Totally unexpected how she suddenly ran into frame. It was so sad.
I knew then she was going to end up with Tristan. She didn't feel she was taking Tristan from anyone, he was always hers.
This. Sis waited. Susannah didn't wait. Even If a man I loved they way Susannah does in the movie, I would have waited. Or at least marry someone else and not the remaining brother. Damn girl
Yes, he was always hers Isabella II's, time just had to happen. She truly loved him, Suzannah was infatuated with him. This is one of my all time favorite movies and it rips me apart every single time I watch it. When my oldest daughter was in high school, sometimes she would look at me and say, "Mom, it feels like a" Legends of The Fall" kinda day". Such beautiful memories involving this fantastic, beautiful yet heartbreaking movie. And btw girls, you are the 1st reactors I've ever seen react to this movie and I couldn't click on it fast enough. I'm so glad you beautiful ladies came up in my recommendations. New sub here! 🩷🤗🩷
I've always felt that Susanna was infatuated with Tristan, not actually in love with him. She seemed so obsessed with the fantasy of the two of them being a couple that she couldn't really comfort him during his grieve over Samuel.
I don't think Tristan was ever in love with Susanna. I think he had love for Susanna because of her connection to Samuel. I think Isabel Two was a better match for him. She knew how to read people.
Alfred's unrequited love struggle is the most relatable. I think Alfred was more upset that Susanna reciprocated Tristan's affection, than their betrayal of Samuel.
Agree.
I never felt Tristan was in love with Susanna. I do not think he ever would have been, even if she had waited.
They just too different. It likely would have ended up just like the Colonel and Isabella. Ill-matched but fond of each other. Yet without the children to act as a glue.
Whereas Izzy was in tune with Tristan her whole life. Likely due her being half native American and Tristan was tutored by One Stab.
I think Izzy told Susanna that she was going to marry Tristan because she knew how Susanna felt about Tristan and was warning Susanna off. And to lay her claim.
I think everyone was very pleased Tristan and Izzy ended up together. Except for Albert and Susanna.
I think Susanna was in love with the idea of Tristan and in lust with his masculinity.
Albert was in love at first sight. He was lovestruck. Don't want to use the word, simp, but well...
@ 15 min "this is so messy" - keep watching 😉
Such a underrated movie, this is a masterpiece!
This was like the bad angel on one shoulder and the good angel on the other. Jyn was like, "He HAS to see her," and the bad angel was like 'Yeah, baby'. And Ryl was like, "No he does NOT." LOL!
"not the back shots" lol
Yall are shameful talking about Brad Pitt!!
I love it.
Thats how every woman, and plenty of men felt in 1994..😂🤣😂🤣
36:59 "was it Samuel? the baby?" -Ryl
"WHAT?" -Jyn
😆 omg that was funny.
and the popup 👍🏼
I feel ya, LOL. These two crack me up.
I died laughing with that whole interaction 😅😅 and the face when Jyn said “WHAT??”
They don’t make saga’s like this anymore..what an epic and heart breaking story!😢 Tristen was in such a good place when he came back, Suzanna was not meant to be with him.. the heartache everyone feels watching this movie. When you said “was it Samuel, the baby??” And the face with the “WHAT?!” 😅😅
Such a great movie, the 90's were a magic time for both movies and music ... now we have nothing but super hero/marvel CGI nonsense instead of fabulous stories like this .. for another beautiful story with Brad Pit try The Curious Life of Benjamin Button
4:14 swinging the gun around. 😆
I absolutely loved your reactions to this movie. I was amazed how it touched both of in all levels of emotion. I felt the same when I first saw it. Thank you and good luck.
Another good movie with Brad Pitt is A River Runs Through It.
Underrated..
I was annoyed the first time I watched this until the last 5 minutes when Alfred comes back to his family and wins his father's approval. I'm glad I watched your guys reaction as I never felt any empathy for Susanna until you two brought that for me, so thanks.
well said
I have five movies I go back to every few years to rewatch to remind myself of what's important about Life. This is one of them. So much here to think about and to feel, both sadness and joy. I'm glad you both felt it too. Thank you for sharing this one. ❤
Great movie👍. Thanks for watching this one❤️🌹.
One of the greatest films ever! It literally breaks me everytime I've watched it
a true master piece... very underated
He really IS in love with Isabel 2.
This is one of my favorite movies ever because it makes you FEEL things. ❤
Very good reaction and very well understood. Glad to see we get a quality reaction to this film.
Y'all gotta watch Fried Green Tomatoes. You'll love that one.
This film reminds me of Gone With the Wind.
My fav reactors to one of my fav films! I was younger when I first watched it and so many emotional up and downs for me. I was mad at the dad because he blindly played favorites and felt bad for Alfred for the way the dad treated him. But as I grew older, I grew to appreciate this realistic depiction of many real life families
39:07 yes. A masterpiece
This was filmed right by the home where I grew up... it makes me homesick!
One-off my favorite films.
This is such a beautiful movie, I love it. Makes me want to cry just thinking about it, though.
This might be my favorite movie. It has a little bit of everything... well, not much comedy, but it's not that kind of movie. Plus, the cinematography was excellent.
I am so glad you watched this ... This is just one of the best movies ever, and all the love and pain in this movie hits you like nothing else .... And extremely good acting does that!! ❤❤
Susannah mentions in her letter to Tristan congratulating him on the birth of his son that she and Alfred have despaired of ever having children. She was not pregnant when she took her life.. Not a fan of Susannah, I thought Isabell 2 was perfect for Tristan.. Enjoyed your reaction!
12:34 awww ☺️
Tristan was suffering from immense guilt and loss over his brother and suffering from PTSD. PTSD can cause you to wake suddenly thinking you are in danger, effectively making you a danger to anyone sleeping nearby. You have terrible nightmares. It's hell, and he was trying to distance himself from everyone he loved to protect them from himself and to punish himself.
6:55 "oh that's so weird." -Jyn
that expression 😆
Thank you for reacting to this classic!
That’s one of my favourite movies too…it’s just beautiful and sad, and real! It was a pleasure watching it with you ladies! ❤
Being from Montana this is of course a favorite movie. In fact only 60 miles from Helena where Alfred ended up. While the homestead was filmed in Canada there are so many places in western Montana as majestic as in the film. And while eastern Montana is more prairie it has a beauty of its own.
Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re gonna get…😊
Ladies, I dearly appreciate your reactions/analysis of whatever you are viewing. You both are aptly equipped with life experiences/womens intuition that aid you here on this channel. I'll be back!!!
We appreciate you 💜
This Movie is on top 3 of my all Time Movies …. Great Reaction Girls ..👌🏼
which are the other 2 movies?
"A river runs through it" is the Brad Pitt movie to see.
Really enjoyed watching with y’all 😊
You know how i know you felt this flick? By the tear stains on the front of your shirt 😂
The scenes where Tristan is in Polynesia were filmed at Ocho Rios, St. Ann Jamaica. Virtual Hug
awesome! One of my favorite movies! I'm sure you will both enjoy this one! I recommend Last of the Mohicans (another of my favorite movies).. Tristan is a classic example on why girls shouldn't fall for the bad boys.
The scene at the fair when she meets the children..talk about the worst gut punch EVER. The heart break is palpable. There was no bad guy or good guy like u said. It was just life happening. But. Omg!, life sucks sometimes.
One of my Favorite Movie!
Fun fact: That ending bear fight was the bear's long time trainer and bear play fighting
Wow! GREAT reaction! You even got me emotional and I've seen this many times. Now, go draw a bubble bath and open a bottle of wine. You earned it.
It's too bad that the family couldn't just learn to share Susanna😂. Sharing is caring.
Love this film! great reaction guys.
There was no knowledge of the danger of tobacco back then. Not even close. Everyone smoked and there was zero fear in the public that it could be harmful. I don't think official warnings came out until the 70's.
as a man im not afraid to say ...brad pitt looks beautiful and majestic asf in this !!!! hahaha
No Diddy
prettiest damn man I ever seen in a movie, but still a bad ass.
Love this movie, it has nearly everything...Brad Pitt with short hair, Brad Pitt with medium hair, and Brad Pitt with long hair. I mean, what more could the people ask for?😍
Seriously though, this is an excellent film with a stellar cast and some truly important themes, plus a brilliant Soundtrack by James Horner (from which I made a video for "Wild Horses")
"It was a Good Death..."
29:30 "i'm getting second hand heartbreak." -Ryl 💔
33:08 "that's pain." -Jyn
This is one of my favorite movies! You two ladies broke this movie down in one watch. I salute you. I have watched you before, but this reaction has convinced me to subscribe. P S. It is my theory that Suzanna was barren. She couldn't have children. Did Tristan know or suspect? I have no idea.
I'm not sure this film would be half as good as it was without James Horner's music. That's true for most films but that score was exceptional.
Great you're back. And more so with that wonderful movie. Greez from Germany
11:45 Cue Brad Pitt going "Beast Mode"...
33:13 See, it's stuff like this why I retired from Personal Relationships....the Humans are friggin' Crazy!
I use to have the soundtrack on Cd😂
Stellar cast.
Epic reaction ladies!!!
41:12 Such insight. That’s how I feel. No real villain. 😢
Great Movie! It's a tear jerker 😢
Such a phenomenal movie. Anthony Hopkins, Aiden Quinn…exceptional. Brad Pitt was heart-wrenching. I have seen this movie so many times, and sob every time.
I loved this movie so much, one of my favorites. Great reaction ❤
I hope you two are safe during the hurricane.
TRAGIC
First, agree a masterpiece movie combined with awesome background. So producers, director did it right.
Second, actors, if you watched or reacted to E.T., Elliot grown up as Samuel. Oldest brother, actor Aiden Quinn is one of my favorite actors. He plays a bad killer in comedy Stakeout, with Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez, and top actor in one of my favorites, The Assignment, 1997. And Julia Ormond, need to watch her with Harrison Ford in 1995 Sabrina. Will help feeling better after this!
And Third......💖💋💖. X. 2
OMGGGG YESSSS!!! 🎉❤
Beautiful film
Speaking of bears. Did you know grizzly bears and polar bears can have babies? There's 8 cubs or so since 2006
Phenomenal movie 😢😊❤
Virtual hug
Beautiful movie. Another amazing one with Anthony Hopkins that you guys need to check out is The Remains Of The Day 👍🏻
Tristan saw them pulling the heart out of that zebra. He got triggered again, that's why he was out of his mind on the ship.
I here I was thinking the men were stripping him to rape him...because the next scene of him is literally him laying lifeless, naked amongst others and with a blank stare.
Such a great movie but is hard to revisit as it is impossibly sad.
My favorite scene is when Susanna visits Tristan in jail. She could barely talk. We never got to hear what her speech was about 😊, the responsibilities of women and something.
Sometimes I still dream that I'm the mother of your children
I believe that was a perfect reaction❤❤❤❤awesome u guys so nice and inteli
I didn't think I could laugh so much during a reaction to this film. Y'all are too funny!❤
Edited to say: My comment felt incomplete. I also appreciated how astute y'all were in your analysis.
Please stay safe!!! Update us when you can.
Best movie reaction girls!
One of my favorite movies, Brad Pitt never looked better 😍
In this you will see the very impressive improvisation skills of Brad Pitt. The porch slap, and the poke in the chest of Alfred is not in the script. These are just a few. When col is reading the story and Alfred is passed out on the couch. He comes in and acts like he's going to hit him in the face with a piece of log, and when he slaps Samuel's hat off. Master of improv
6:53 That’s right. Samuel messed up
This movie is ridiculous. But Alfred at the end makes it great.
Girls I really enjoyed your reaction. I cry every time I watch this movie. One of my all time favorites. I just became a new sub!
💜💜
I hope u ladies are alright? Worried for yah and Jamaica 🇯🇲
37:09 Oooooh yes, we CAN blame you for thinking that, sorry, girl friend. :D
Great reaction! Well done! 👍🐻 Next "Sleepers".🤞
51:35 if she hadn’t ended it…she would have ended up raising Tristan’s children. Which may have been some type of comfort to her. Bc she couldn’t get pregnant. Idk. 😢
If yall keep on….imma have to sign up! 😊😊❤Putting out some great content lately!! Wow! One if my favorites! Brad Pitt is fine in this movie. lol!
3:57 Eva body loves Susannah. 😅
10:43 He’s gone BEAR on them! 😮
27:07 Not Samuel 😅
