this movie is a masterpiece. 9 years ago I got a really bad accident and spent 5 months in the hospital. I had to learn how to walk again and I have a handicap that will never go away. When my brother came to pick me up after I had be discharged, he told me I would have to take it slow. I looked at him, smiled and said 'Get busy living, or get busy dying'.
This couch potato that had never done anything in her life has since then gone to Paris, she has gone to New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and ticked off 'Galaxy's edge' at Disney World off of her bucket list.
I will NEVER again get busy dying.
I always like the detail that Andy hid the rock hammer at the start of Exodus. Good reaction, guys!
WOW, such a great detail! Thanks 😍
"Salvation lies within." The warden held it in his hand, and didn't think to check it among the other items checked in Andy's cell.
You do realize it was written by Stephen King, right? And he hates religion? He puts all kinds of religious parallels into his novels as a FU. He’s actually only giving nods to disparage them. He’s atheist. Which means he believes in BiG Bang. Which also means he believes in magic. Because without a “power that was sentient”, that bang could never have occurred without Magic. Edit: Pete Davidson postulation. Brilliant!
Never caught that
Very good ❤
You did a good job of holding your “poker face” while your sister made the discoveries😊
Indeed he did. He is very good at that haha🤭♥️
Fun facts: The picture of the young man during Morgan Freeman's parole is actually Morgan's nephew.
Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction and Forest Gump were all nominated the same year for the Best Picture Oscar. It may be the last time you had three great movies up at the same time.
That is amazing. i saw all three in theater and this was and is my favorite but the other 2 as well as "Stand By Me" are all in m top ten.
The inmate doing the "reeling 'em in" motion when Andy first arrives, is Freeman's son Alfonso Freeman.
That brutal prison guard, Clancy Brown, is the voice of Mr Crabs in Spongebob lol
Kurgan!
Remember when Andy first escaped and the morning guard calls out Andy's cell which is Cell# 245? Stephen King always uses that number in every one of his books/movies.
“Tier 2 cell 245”
The numbers add up to 13 which King does often.
Andy realized that the INTERNAL walls were made from a softer rock than the external walls. Thats how he was able to make his tunnel faster.
I think The Shawshank Redemption pertains to both Red and Andy. Andy's character, reputation and dignity are redeemed when he escapes and gets revenge on the warden. Red is redeemed from his pessimistic outlook on life and finds "hope".
The actor who plays Bogs Diamond (Head of the "Sisters") is Mark Rolston. He also plays the part of PFC Drake in "Aliens" (1986), Special Agent Russ in "Rush Hour" (1998), Hans in "Lethal Weapon 2" (1989), and Stef in "RoboCop 2" (1990).
also in Starship Troopers
Mark also appeared in episodes of "Wiseguy" and "Nash Bridges" where his characters get killed in fiery explosions. I wonder why...😉
He also played a serial killer on Babylon 5.
Also Delahunt in The Departed
Love reliving movie experiences through your reactions. One scene that was dropped from the movie was them finding Jake's body and burying him in memory of Brookes.
Tim Robbins said that when he was crawling through the sewage pipe, the liquid was made by the prop department and was completely safe. But when he comes out into the stream, that was an actual runoff stream filled with cow shit and other nasty stuff. They had a shower on the set so he could rinse off between takes.
Love the hair.
Thanks so much 🥹
It is about Red. It's even in the title, Shawshank (Red)emption.
She was the first reactor that realized that
They sat and drank with the sun on their shoulders like they were Freemen, but Morgan was probably the only true FREEMAN
that kid has a beautiful smile (she's a kid relative to me, not meant to be degrading)
This movie really is perfection.
oH WOW! Another one of my favourite films.
Let's go 😍
Your sister is absolutely beautiful 😍
Thank you!♥️
@@thosesiblingss
Am Israel Chai
Yes she is...gorgeous.
Good looking family, my sister looks like me( younger and way more beautiful) too
@@thosesiblingss Have you seen Field of Dreams?
I'm glad u enjoyed this one. Next step: Green mile, Forrest Gump, Gran torino, Million dollar baby....
From band of brothers to this is just amazing, one of the greatest films of all time maybe top 3 in my opinion
You look marvelous!
Thanks 🥹 ♥️
My thoughts on why Hadley (The Guard Captain) crippled Bogs: The warden ordered it so it would remove a problem for Andy before the Warden "offered" Andy the laundering job. The director does a great job of telling you what will happen before it happens. Andy gets a job in the laundry, and then he cleans money. Hadley is the warden's right-hand man, he does nothing that the warden doesn't order him to. He's a pure thug.
To build on your foreshadowing theme: eventually, Andy does to the warden and Mr Hadley what the sisters did to him.
Metaphorically, of course.
@@kh884488 Like Andy said "I was straight as an arrow on the outside, it took me coming to prison to be a crook." Prison changed Andy by testing him, forging him into something else. Same with Red, Brooks died because he didn't have Hope. Hope in a better future at least. Bogs and the sisters got what they gave out, a life of violence. This movie is 10/10 because of the motiffs layered upon each other not just in complexity but in depth and width, my two cents. Thanks for your comment.
Great Reaction Guys !!! Thank You
OMG! She’s gorgeous! 😍 Loved ur reaction! Ya’ll should definitely react to “The Count of Monte Cristo” from 2002 starring Jim Caviezel. The best book to movie adaptation ever imo. Also a prison break movie. Revenge, hatred, jealousy, betrayal, vengeance, redemption, romance all in one. One of my faves. Highly underrated film.
Awesome reaction, thanks for posting ❤
Your predictions and reactions were amazing.
Loved the whole experience. ❤
Sister looks like a beautiful version of Minnie Driver
Another brilliant Stephen King adaptation (and one of his personal favorites) is Stand By Me. It’s a really beautiful story of friendship that I think you two would love.
Nice Miranda factoid!
The Last Castle would be a great follow up.
15:38 - "What made him do that?" Simple. Andy did Hadley a favor with his financial advice so, even though Hadley will never be a nice guy, he WILL act in his own self-interest; punishing anyone who messes with his good thing - his "convicted pet who provides solid financial advice."
And everybody seems to be OK with that 🤷🏼♂️
Boggs is still alive, unlike Tommy.
@@poolhall9632 I’m not suggesting his treatment of different prisoners is in any way fair/equitable - only that Andy benefited by playing off of Hadley’s twisted self-interests.
Dude how is your sister so gorgeous like damn
Hey hey now only Blonde hair blue eyed straight haired girls are allowed to be pretty (lol)
Delighted that you reacted to this American Classic. I hope you can also react to “Field of Dreams.” You won’t be disappointed.
Agreed. Best movie in my books.
Those Siblings Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
The face on Red's file when he gets released is his actual son in real life.
Note: In the US, they still read rights from a paper script and it can be much later after an arrest.
You guys are awesome.
Fantastic! So smart!👏🏼
Who is the main character? Its kind of hard. Andy drives the plot and Red has the character development. Its simultaneously a first and second person perspective. While its not my favourite film (it is damn close) this is the most perfect film I've ever seen
Red tells Andy "hope is a shitty pipe dream." That night Andy escapes through a shitty pipe. 😊
For very funny movies, I highly recommend the Monty Python movies, Ace Ventura, and Mrs. Doubtfire.
Just found you. Just subscribed. Love the show. Appreciate what/how you appreciate these things. I would think since you possess the thoughtfulness that prizes thoughtful films you may appreciate a comedy/drama that is a bit older than the gem we just watched. "The World According to Garp" starring a young Robin Williams and Glenn Close, with a great appearance of John Lithgow. It is a long movie but I would gamble that you (or anyone really) will love it. Love the neck pillow too
For a second, I thought that was Katelyn Ohashi sitting there
The natural hair color looks way better.
If you guys like musicals with a serious undertone, I would recommend the classic "Cabaret" with Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey. Great Movie
A pleaure, as always!
Jewish ppl react is a genre I didn't know existed!
I gotta say you guys are very smart, she guessed so much of the story plot
Amazing movie great reaction plus your sister's gorgeous love her hair and smile
Hope is a good thing, Maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.
Sho - shank you very much for the reaction, ha ha!
😂😂😂 nice
😂😂😂 nice
Awesome reaction guys👍 If you're enjoying this Stephen King adaptation I recommend you The Mist staring Thomas Jane❤
good job
Excellent reaction. 👍👍 If you want some good laughs after such a heavy film, I highly recommend the comedies "The Princess Bride" (1987) with Robin Wright and Cary Elwes, and "Groundhog Day" (1993) with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. Brilliant comedy!
One of my top five movies, always make me feel everytime I watch, both sad and happy. Wish more movies today make me feel
The sister has obviously seen the film before. It is not normal she is giving away so many plot points before we see that. Nobody guesses that well..
Hair looks beautiful without the oddness
I'm new in the channel. This movie is fantastic. Another great movie with the prison's warden actor is "Patch Adams". I absolutely recommend. Success to both of you :)
💇 Fabulous Darling 😘💗
Take Care and Stay Safe 🙏🕊️💙🤍
Great reaction! Maybe think about reacting to Good Will Hunting at some point.
The guard beat Boggs because Andy helped him with the tax thing
The story is about Morgan Freeman's character "Red". Who in the book is an Irishman hence the name Red. He makes a reference to it when Andy and him meet. The redemption is for him. He is the one who finds hope, Andy always had it. Great movie. Smart girl picked up on the Bible/pick thing real quick and the comment " salvation lies within".Ok, this girl is really smart. She was calling out movie sequences before it was shown..lol. Even the ending.
That letter gets me everytime . Mf tear jerker
Spotted the hiding spot for the hammer: +++
You look lovely with any color hair. Patreon poll to see what color next even :D
When Red tells Andy that going to Mexico is “shitty pipe dreams“, it foreshadows Andy crawling through a pipe of shit to escape.
Hahaha so good😂😂 thanks!!
This was a close to perfect movie!
Great movie.
Great reaction! Well, your hair looks great BTW.😀 You guys need to see the other most famous Stephen King non horror "Stand By Me". 👍👍
A great pair. Handsome pair of brother and sister. Great reaction so far. Are you guys from Israel?
Ayala Nostradamus, intuition on point!
Wow! That’s VERY JEWISH [no pun intended-pun intended] to not put it up on YT but put it up on the PPV Patreon. You two aren’t getting rid of stereotypes very well. I love making fun of y’all lightheartedly. My family [Slav, German, Irish] left Europe in the 1890’s. So if I had relatives in Germany during WW2, they weren’t friends of mine. Heck, distant cousins might have been in the SS for all i know. I can’t discard it. My family are fighters and soldiers. Lost a bunch in WW1, 2, and in Vietnam. I never served. To many horror stories growing from relatives. Not stories of valor and loss. Horror stories. One of my cousins actually was at The Mai Lai Massacre. He said he was following orders. And after hearing his retelling of the events, I believe him. But on the other hand, he had 50 years to get it right. I delved into the one and only time I talked to him, and I have questions. Unfortunately, he died. But he did do college lectures, so maybe they asked don’t of the questions I didn’t ask! But, it’s really not an interest that’s big. When I get “free” time I look up current things. I just don’t seem to have enough free time as I used too.
Greatest movie ever filmed. Thanks for your reaction! Erez Israel 🇮🇱 ❤
Well, your lives our now changed forever. I could listen to Morgan Freemen read a phone book, this film is a masterpiece...out of everything, which is EVERYTHING. The most heartbreaking scene, is Brookes loneliness waiting for Jake in the park. And he never comes. That's a never ending pain and longing. -Brookes was here
First of all, this is a great film.
But every time I look at him
I always try to explain a scene to myself.
How is it possible that after his escape, the poster of the
Lady hung so perfectly on the wall again?
Even if he were to crawl back again,
How can he hang the poster like that again from the inside?
Best movie ever. Now you should watch another Frank Darabont adaptation of a Stephen King story - The Green Mile. Have tissues nearby.
Red “This is just shitty pipe dreams….”
Then Andy escaped through a shitty pipe to realize the dream.
Omg that's genius 😂 thanks!!
Taxes are paid by the estate before any of it is dispensed to heirs. Hadley shouldn't have owed any tax bill on the $35,000.
Shawshank Redemption is based on a short story by Stephen King, not a book.
If you haven't seen it yet, watch Independence Day (1996).
Don't judge a book without it's cover.😊😊😏😏

A tip on producing good reaction videos is that the volume of the movie, i.e., the characters speaking dialog, that needs to be louder or as loud as your voices, at a minimum. That makes for a good and watchable reaction video. If your voices are louder than the movie, that makes for a bad watching experience. Cheers!
Watch Schindler's list. That movie is heartbreaking...
Great reaction! Thoughtful and passionate! Check out "City of God" Directed by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund.
Atem you related to a guy called Joseph steinschleuder?
🤍
Stop and consider the timeline. Andy had the hole finished WHILE he was teaching Tommy.
Also… I hope you know Jake died after he was set free. It was inevitable. He was as much a victim of the prison as Brooks.
The rock hammer lays within (the bible)..
Please do more Movies while series are OK if your views are not into the series...we loose contact for weeks etc. ...... Beside there are so many great movies
she was calling way to much stuff
Hey nice reaction! Can you please react to the movie Edmond (2005)? Its classic and underrated. Subscribed!
how about Forrest Gump next? 🙂
Try not to keep guessing out loud what happens next throughout your reviews, it ruins the moment and doesn’t let other people experience it for themselves when they haven’t guessed it yet.
No icant ur too dunm holly shit
Why the "jewish" and "israeli" are in almost all of your titles? What's the point of making a difference? I'm jew and I don't get it, is it better for the youtube algorithm?
. So much distracting chatter
"Maybe their racist?", the automatic go to from professional victims!😅 Maybe they rejected Red because he was a convicted murderer and his answers were unconvincing. Ridiculous people
You've seen this before, thanks for wasting my time
00:00:56
Lighten up, Francis
Yeah. Roman concrete is better than American concrete. American concrete breaks down quickly. That's why Israel still has Roman ruins and the United States has bridges falling apart.
