This Nocturne in B major was written by Swiss composer Sigismund Thalberg (1812-1871) in about 1845. Performed by Ian Hominick.

Why switching between 6/8 and 2/4 when the duration of a bar is the same? (1:21)

3/4 and 6/8 have the same duration, 2/4 indicate duplets over the meter
