Saving a Sound City 40 C Guitar Amplifier

I do enjoy seeing what is being sold as spares and repairs locally. It pushes me learn how to fix new and interesting music gear. This was advertised with no tubes and needing repair at a really fair price so thought I would give it a go. Worst come to worst I can use the drivers for another project.
With this being an amp sold by sound control i would estimate it to be 15 years old. so for the electronics to fail in this short time is a surprise to me. When you think there are still fender twin reverbs with original paper capacitors out there working fine.
Getting valves/tubes are getting more expensive due to world events. I managed to get a full set of JJ tubes.
Looking inside the amp we find some expanded capacitors and some blown fuses, after replacing these the amp comes back to life.
With electric pianos we look a lot at the preamp, but I think this the main amp is also just as important, we will try some electric pianos with this amp soon. Stick around to see how that sounds.
Tube amps are super dangerous due to the high voltage they contain, this is not a tutorial on how to work on these amps, but just covers some of the points I performed.
