Wow, there were a couple parts of the video that felt like signs that it's probably time to try Strattera, because if by some miracle I seemed less "weird" while on it that would be mind-boggling. It kind of makes sense in a way actually. This video was a pleasure, Sarah! Seriously, a breath of fresh air. It's a weird time for me.
I agree that you're talking a bit faster, and your speech pattern is a bit different but the speed may be why? Thanks again for your updates, they're extremely helpful.

I would say you were talking a bit faster than usual (~20%)! Are you planning on reducing the dose further? Or are you staying at 18 mg?

Some people metabolize Strattera slowly. If you're a slow metabolizer, you should stay on a low dose like 18mg instead of titrating up to 60mg-100mg. You can tell if you're metabolizing slowly if you get bad side effects at higher dosages but not low dosages, and it seems like the biggest improvements happened when you first started. Also idk if you're on antidepressants but if you're on Fluoxetine or Paroxetine, you should be on a lower dose of atomoxetine (or you could switch to a different SSRI like escitalopram or fluvoxamine).

@@FindingYourSerenity maybe. It seems like you're getting benefits even at the lower dosage so that would definitely point to being a slow metabolizer. If you were to take a "typical" dose like 80-100mg and you metabolize slow, that means you'll end up having 2 or 3 times the atomoxetine you're supposed to have. Which then means fast heart rate, blood pressure problems, and emotional blunting or anxiety.
Another sign of slow metabolizing is if you have a noticeable but tolerable increase in heart rate and blood pressure at low doses.
This is why people titrate up Strattera instead of just starting at the target dose.

Atomoxetine works so well for me. If fact, it is the only medication that I've had great success with, but I'm so disappointed right now :( My last visit for a general check up showed my blood pressure had shot up to 140/100! It happened in the second month of taking 25mg that I started to get tired and lazy and more sleepy and it turns out that the high blood pressure was the reason for the constant fatigue. I wonder if you noticed something like this.
That sucks :(. I notice on a higher dose my heart rate goes up and I get too tired and lazy. I didn't check my blood pressure though. Maybe I should have done.

@@FindingYourSerenity ok Thank you , I tried everything else due to side effects i had to come off only straterra is my only hope I will talk to my doctor and start me from 10 then if no side affects go to 25 thank you for sharing your story, you are helping many 🥰🥰
