One of my favorite dynamics between the two has always been that Superman’s favorite superhero is Batman while Batman’s favorite superhero is Superman.
*Fun fact:* In the "Generations" trilogy by John Byrne, it is revealed that Clark and Bruce fought crime together even before they met as Superman and Batman, their first meeting being as children and under the identities of Superboy and Robin. It is also revealed that Jonathan Kent used a Kryptonian artifact to warn Thomas and Martha Wayne of their future murder and the heroic destiny of their son, but they decide to follow the planned course of destiny because they believe that Gotham needs someone like Batman, a revelation Clark himself tells to Bruce a century later
I think it was All-Star Superman when Lois says “hold on I saw Clark and Superman in the same place when the president gave Superman the Medal of Honor” and Clark tells her “I had Batman put on my costume”
Them looking so similar has been used in stories before, usually for comedic effect or in situations where they need "plausible deniability" if someone starts getting close to discovering their secret identities.
*Fun fact:* The first time Superman and Batman met was during their childhood. While playing baseball with Pete Ross, Clark saw the Waynes' car on the road, as Alfred was driving Bruce at the time on a tour through America and stopped for a moment to fix a tire. At first, Clark considered the idea of inviting the boy in the car to play with him, but he looked so depressed and distant that the farmer thought he probably would not accept the offer, so Clark let him be. What Clark never knew is that Bruce always remembered that day and how his hatred for himself prevented him from befriending a boy from Kansas
Funny thing is, on Earth-2 (the Earth Power Girl originates from), Bruce actually got out of the car and talked with Clark that day, while Alfred talked to Jonathan Kent. Bruce quickly figured out Clark was stronger than he looked, and Clark figured out Bruce had a sharp mind. They became best friends that day and had a great brotherly dynamic as Batman and Superman. And then that universe was killed by Darkseid with Power Girl and Huntress being the sole survivors.
One of the most underrated Batman/Superman stories ever written is "Nevermind", from issue #27 of their shared series. In this story, Superman and Batman's consciousnesses are transferred against their will to the bodies of Power Girl and Huntress, so both heroes must recover their bodies before the girls' consciousnesses awaken and destroy theirs. It's quite entertaining how Bruce finds out that the Huntress is actually his daughter (with both Waynes having a very emotional conversation through a mirror) while Superman can't help but feel reaaaaaally weird in the body of his big-breasted cousin. 😅
@@enzovulkoor I dunno, I like the idea they'd still be light and dark to each other, but in one city. Can you imagine a Gotham where INVINCIBLE SUPERMAN flies around during the day, and he's got the wealth of the Wayne family to back up, oh, I dunno, keeping all the kryptonite out of criminal hands, while villains whisper nervously about this "Batman" guy that jumps you when Superman is taking a nap? Crime would probably end up vanishing from Gotham at that rate, just because the odds you get stopped with TWO heroes on the prowl becomes a bit much.
I doubt we will see this dynamic any time soon on the big screen, but I wish we see it at some point. Most on screen Batman and Superman *Not the animated shows* are so negative. Lets get the worlds finest being bros please.
Despite his fear that one day he might turn evil and destroy Earth, Bruce truly loves Clark in a fraternal way, the Kryptonian being (along with Silver Age Owlman) the closest thing Batman has to a brother, something he can't hide even with his best tsundere attitude
These are the types of stories that we need in movies. Don't get me wrong I am in no way stating that DCEU is not good or worse. But these stories and their morals and these about life should be put to the silver screen considered under proper direction and production. These will prove superhero stories are not only limited to childish comedy or brutal violence but is a mixed spectrum like life.
05:42 Batman's inner monologue being "my parents always wanted another child" hit me in the gut so hard for some reason.
Well, there’s Thomas Wayne Jr., who is a Talon.

With both of them having black hair, blue eyes, over 6 ft., and their mother/mother-figure having the same name I could mistake them as twins.

I remember there WAS an episode where Batman and Supes swapped spots for a day.

Hopefully, the new DCU makes Batman and Superman best friends instead of fighting each other.
don't they also cononically look very close to each other almost like twins
Technically if Clark was Bruce's brother, Bruce's parents would be more or less alive thanks to him
Or if they still died... Bruce may have ended up as Robin or visa versa.

His stories are the adult version of early 2000s Saturday morning cartoons 😮💨🤌🏽
I prefer Batman and Superman to be friends.
Great story. The brothers aspect reminds me of the dark knights of steel story line

It’s a pretty wild story, also, the art the way the fabric of the suits are drawn is extremely reminiscent of the animated series.
This Is My All Time Favorite Story and It Involves Superman & Batman Becoming Brothers!
it's called TWO BROTHERS
Another great video!

This is a nice contrast to comics like injustice
