That's right Tim, two different and complementary voices.
Elisa has a sharp and precise voice with high tones, Giorgia is instead a power of nature, she has an incredible vocal range that allows her to sing practically everything.

I love Elisa but Giorgia's voice is just fenomenal for me. It's also Giorgia's song so it's to be expected for Elisa to stay just a bit back in the duet
Giorgia è forte, in Italia credo sia tra le più brave! Ma Elisa è ad un altro pianeta. Super versatile, credibile in ogni stile, voce delicata e soffiata ma anche note assurde, e poi a livello di interpretazione cavolo, Elisa è una spanna sopra! Se Giorgia canta in inglese rischia di cadere nel “banale” come un qualcosa di già esistente, Elisa invece no! In ogni caso meritano entrambe.
@@Dps640 In "Amiche per l'Abruzzo concert" Giorgia sung in english Elisa's "Heaven out of hell" and did it better than Elisa herself.
That's the main difference among the two (but still not the only one): Giorgia can cover all the songs of Elisa and make them sound better; Elisa cannot sing every song of Giorgia (just think of "Come saprei", "Strano il mio destino", to name only two). That's due to what we italian call "timbro [della voce]" (litterally: the "mark of the voice", which makes each single voice on earth sound different from all the others). The timbro of Elisa is surely nice, somehow magic. It is okay for dreaming and for fairy tales but it is not and will never be as deep as Giorgia's. If you remember: when Elisa offered her version of the famous and dramatically emotional "Almeno tu nell'universo" by Mia Martini, she did completely fail (after recording it, she's never sung it any more). Let's all deal with it!

Venditti - "Che fantastica storia è la vita" - "Ricordati di me" - "Dalla pelle al cuore" - "Notte prima degli esami" - "Giulio Cesare - "Piero e Cinzia". Venditti and De Gregori are, in my opinion, the two greatest songwriters in the history of Italian music. Then there is also De Andrè, but I prefer to hear him with the PFM (concert of 1979). It goes without saying that the text is very important. Try to choose the official version and not the live version.

Honestly guys I think this acoustic version is definitely too slow, to me it looks as a vocal exercise meant to show the skills of both the singers. Can you immagine how impressive it was for the italian audience to hear the song (I mean: the pop version) for the first time, back in 1994? It is Giorgia's first success.
