@@ZeroBounce1 do you have any explaination on fluxuation of vert jump. Months ago i touched rim. I got an ankle injury on my strong jumping foot and since then ive struggled to touch rim. I did workouts: plyos, weights etc. and started touching it and it fluxuated over the weeks, sometimes i couldnt touch rim sometimes i could. Is there explanation?

probably fatigue like mentioned.. but also think about it like if touching the rim is your max you won't be able to do it all the time, your max need to be a few inches higher to do it consistently

just wanna give y’all motivation, im 5’8-5’9 n i can grab rim. i don’t even workout legs or do much for bounce, all you gotta do is keep jumping, jump for every rebound, every block, everything, jumping is what will increase your vertical!
High weight lower body workouts like squats, deadlifts, and ESPECIALLY powercleans are the fastest way to increase your vertical, but being stronger wont get you anywhere unless you're practicing the actual movement, so you should be practicing your hops as much as possible. Go for higher weight lower reps to max to increase strength rather than muscle mass, low weight high reps tend to give you larger muscles but it's usually more of an aesthetic thing that bodybuilders do and it doesn't increase your strength as much, it may go against you if you're maxing your vertical as your body weight will likely increase as well.

@@Remy-eu8fm Working out will not lose you any weight, and if anything it will only gain muscle mass. If you're looking to lose weight the only way you can realistically drop to a healthy level is through a diet, although this process can be sped up with exercise and especially cardio. The upside of this is you have a VERY fixable problem that is absolutely bringing your vertical down, I promise you that if you do lose weight, you will automatically add inches without any workouts, which is typically a very difficult task for someone who's already skinnier. If you're unsure of what diet to follow, I recommend simply intaking fewer calories and drinking lots of water throughout the day while avoiding excess sugar and carbs, then researching a proper diet to follow from there. Good luck bro, I'm also about 20 pounds too heavy and trying to work towards a leaner figure, you can pull it off with the right mindset and effort

Not 6 ft and above, couldn’t touch rim freshman year. Started running hills and doing basketball drills with a weighted vest ,until I couldn’t feel the difference. Out of nowhere I’ve been dunking ever since and all the guys say I’m way faster, so if your not already I would recommend adding that or something similar to your routine. Good luck on your journey.

You will be stronger on both legs so yes. Because your right foot will push harder on the take-off
Yeah I have leg imbalance so I rely on my right foot too much. If anyone else has this issue then single leg strengthening should do the trick.

Strength training like squats, deadlifts, and RDLs (both or on one foot), plyometrics like box jumps, split squats or Bulgarian split squats, isometrics to keep the tendons healthy and strong. Some isometrics I recommend are wall sits, and reverse nordics. Don’t forget to stretch every day and don’t forget to train your core, the core is extremely important to jumping high

I can get my entire palm over the rim but when it comes to jumping with the ball, i just cant jump as high especially when it comes to jumping off of two feet. Why is that?
try tapping the backboard each time you land with a spring jump for a minute each day, it's probably a biomechanic issue
1 foot jumping will always get you higher it's just 2 feet can give you more powerful dunks but you will always go further and higher with off ones because you don't have to make that quick stop

I dunked the ball by accident the other day, I was just as surprised as everybody else.
Also having left and right single leg can help you with finishing in either side with any hand instead of being off balance.

I feel like I got potential, the only time I jumped super high is if I’m excited to get a rebound, I remember one time my friend shot the basketball and I knew he was gonna miss I ran from the 3 point line and jumped up for the putback it felt like my head was touching the net mind you I’m 5’6 and when I jumped I heard everyone gasp so I know I had to be up there but I guess I’m not used to jumping that high regularly so I lost my balance and didn’t even get the ball in the basket😭😭😭
The only problem I have is that I don’t know how to dunk. Once I get up there it keep hitting the back of the rim
